Chapter 134 Quiet and Beautiful Like a Kitten

Camilla was feeling a bit emotional, but she got it—Aurora always put her research first.

Aurora cared more about her research progress than how long she'd live. She might wear herself out, but she didn't care.

Aurora was all in, diving deep into her research, hoping to pave the way for future generations.

"Why are you crying again?" Aurora sighed, hating to see Camilla like this.

Camilla sniffled. "I'm not crying."

"Okay, okay, you're not crying," Aurora chuckled.

"Let me give you a massage."

Knowing how stubborn Aurora could be, Camilla didn't push it. She just sat down and started massaging Aurora's calves.

After a bit, Aurora felt a lot better.

"Your rheumatism must be acting up with this weather. I got some foot soak packs; they should be here in a day or two. Make sure to soak your feet every night; it'll help."

"Got it." Aurora smiled and pointed to a piece of paper on the table. "There's a phone number there."

"What?"

"Remember Felix?"

Camilla's eyes widened. "Felix?"

"Yeah, him. He knows you're back and even took my grad course quietly. I should've called him sooner; now he's sulking. I can't deal with him, so you call and cheer him up. He listens to you."

Camilla sighed. With Felix's temper, what could she do?

Bioinformatics needed a lot of computer know-how, even programming.

That was why, when Leopold got kicked out and they were scraping by in a basement, Camilla could still make some startup money with her coding skills. Back in undergrad, Aurora had set her up with a computer informatics tutor—Felix.

After making sure Aurora soaked her feet, took her meds, and had a homemade meal, Camilla finally headed home.

Once home, she pulled out the piece of paper and dialed the number.

First time, it got hung up right away.

Second time, same thing.

Third time, it finally went through.

"Who is it?" Felix's arrogant voice came through.

Camilla couldn't help but laugh at his tone.

"Sorry, wrong number. Bye."

"Camilla!" Felix couldn't hold back.

"Felix!"

"Try hanging up!"

"I won't."

"Why'd you only contact Aurora when you got back? Am I not your tutor too? And you didn't even apply for my grad program?!"

"Felix, my undergrad was in bioinformatics."

"So what? You're good at computer science too. What's wrong with switching majors? Any problem?"

"No."

After finally calming Felix down, Camilla sighed in relief.

Felix suddenly asked, "Have you forgotten what I taught you all these years?"

"Absolutely not."

"Just saying doesn't count; you need to practice."

Camilla was puzzled.

And so, Felix had her coding all night.

As dawn approached, Felix said, "Alright, that's enough for today. I've got the final exam questions and answers for this semester now. Not bad."

Camilla felt helpless.

After catching a quick hour of sleep, Camilla woke up to see it was already eight. She hurriedly got ready and headed straight to the lab.

Sebastian noticed she was half an hour late and looked rough. "Didn't sleep well last night?" he asked, surprised.

Camilla shook her head, saying, "Pulled an all-nighter."

Sebastian raised an eyebrow but didn't press further.

Camilla pulled herself together and got to work.

By noon, after lunch, she was yawning like crazy.

Seeing this, Sebastian said, "Don't push yourself too hard. Go take a nap in the break room."

Camilla was too tired to argue and took his advice.

Sebastian kept working. Two hours later, he remembered Camilla was still in the break room. He knocked but got no response. "Camilla? You okay? I'm coming in."

Worried, he gently pushed the door open and found Camilla curled up in a corner, sleeping deeply.

He sighed in relief and couldn't help but laugh.

He thought, 'She looks like a little cat. Quiet and beautiful.'

Meanwhile, Amara had been in the hospital for two days and was fed up, demanding to be discharged.

The two nannies couldn't decide, so Amara called Leopold, who hung up on her.

Frustrated, she called Elodie.

Elodie scolded her over the phone, "Don't think you can do whatever you want just because you're pregnant. If you want to die, go ahead. But if anything happens to the baby, you'll pay for it!"

Amara listened resentfully but didn't dare talk back.

In the end, Elodie agreed to let her be discharged, warning, "This is the last time. Take care of your belly!"

When Amara got back to the villa, the servants, who had enjoyed two peaceful days, were dismayed. Especially Mira!

As soon as Amara returned, Mira sat up from her small bed in the storage room, her face falling. "I just dozed off!"

Right after Amara got home, the doctor Elodie arranged showed up.

He set a strict schedule for Amara and customized a bland diet plan.

Amara wanted to resist but didn't have the guts to call Elodie.

"I want to go out! Right now!" Amara yelled at the servants, venting her frustration.

Soon, the driver was ready, and Amara got in the car, followed by the two nannies.

"What are you doing?" Amara snapped.

"Elodie said we must stay by your side to ensure your and the baby's safety."

Amara was losing it.

She had the driver stop at the mall entrance and rushed in, grabbing anything expensive and swiping Leopold's secondary card like crazy.

She bought clothes and bags, all things she usually couldn't afford or dare to buy.

The two nannies carried all the bags.

"Come on, aren't you supposed to stay by my side? Hurry up!"

The nannies could only resign themselves to their fate, carrying the bags and following her.

At that moment, they thought, 'Mira, you have it tough.'

In the conference room, Leopold was listening to the department manager's quarterly summary.

His phone on the table kept buzzing non-stop.

Everyone glanced at him.

Leopold picked up his phone and saw it was all spending notifications.
