Chapter 313 Take This Scarf and Wear It

After comforting Aurora and personally helping her clean up, Camilla reminded her to follow her treatment plan before processing her discharge.

Before leaving, she pulled Ellen aside. "I've already arranged everything with Aurora. A car will come tomorrow to take you both to the recovery center. While she's away, I'm entrusting her care to you."

Ellen was overjoyed. "You always know what to do, Camilla! I tried talking to her, persuading her—nothing worked. It took you to make it happen."

"Don't worry, I'll take excellent care of Aurora!"

"Thank you for your help, Ellen."

"It's no trouble at all."

After Camilla left, Ellen returned to the hospital room.

Aurora glanced behind her. "She's gone?"

"Yes. Before leaving, she specifically asked me to take good care of you. Camilla really cares."

Aurora nodded. "Camilla is a good girl. It's my fault for being useless. I'm getting old—not only can't I help them secure resources, but I've made them targets for Calliope, making everything difficult."

"Please don't say that. Camilla has never blamed you. Besides, she's not someone who can't handle challenges. If she says she can solve it, she must have a plan."

"She may have a solution, but I can't just sit back and do nothing."

Ellen was startled.

"Hand me my phone. I need to make a call."

Time flew by, and soon it was their weekly meeting day.

At the small restaurant off campus, Marcus arrived first and ordered the food.

Tobias and Camilla—one coming from the construction site, the other from the lab—arrived almost simultaneously.

"Tobias!" Tobias called out.

"Camilla, why aren't you wearing a scarf? Aren't you cold with your neck exposed?"

"I forgot my scarf at the lab. Don't worry, I'll zip up my jacket—see, it covers half my face this way."

They entered the restaurant and immediately spotted Marcus.

In his suit, he stood out even while seated—broad shoulders, slim waist, exuding presence.

"Mr. Davis," Tobias greeted.

Marcus only noticed Camilla. "Camilla, you're here. Sit here," he said, pulling out a chair for her.

Tobias was annoyed. Was he invisible?

Scowling, Tobias pulled out his own chair and sat down.

Soon the food arrived, perfectly timed.

The server brought their drinks.

Tobias noticed his usual beverage and his mood improved instantly.

That was Marcus's thoughtfulness. When he put his mind to it, he could make anyone go from disgruntled to delighted in an instant.

"Fried mushrooms?" Camilla asked in surprise. "Is this on the menu? I had no idea."

They'd eaten here several times and she knew the menu by heart.

Marcus replied, "It wasn't before, but it is now."

"What?"

"I suggested it to the owner last time. She listened and added it."

Tobias gave him a thumbs up. "As expected from Mr. Davis. By the way, Camilla, I remember you loved fried mushrooms as a child..."

He stopped abruptly mid-sentence.

His gaze darted between them, with dawning realization.

Marcus smiled. "The food's all here. Let's talk while we eat."

"Right!" Tobias remembered their business. "All floors are completed this week. We're planning to top off next Wednesday."

"So quickly?" Camilla was amazed at the progress again.

"All thanks to Mr. Davis's two construction teams."

Originally borrowed for foundation work, Tobias quickly discovered he'd underestimated their capabilities.

Beyond foundations, these workers were professionals in finishing, materials assessment, and more.

So after completing the structural work, Tobias decided not to return them to Marcus just yet.

They continued with interior finishing and smart system installation.

Tobias voiced his thoughts. Then he asked, "Is that okay with you, Mr. Davis?

Hearing this, Camilla joined Tobias in looking at Marcus.

Meeting Camilla's gaze, Marcus smiled slightly. "It's fine with me."

For her, he could provide any resources she needed.

"Thank you, Mr. Davis!" Tobias said excitedly.

As they finished eating, Tobias prepared to pay.

But Marcus had already stood up and approached the register. "How much do we owe?"

"Finished already, Mr. Davis? How were the fried mushrooms?" the owner asked.

Marcus turned to Camilla. "Ask her."

The owner looked over with a smile.

Camilla answered honestly, "Delicious."

"Wonderful! This dish has been selling out lately—even more popular than our signature dishes. Business has improved significantly. We have to thank Mr. Davis for his valuable suggestion."

Marcus paid and put away his phone. "The thanks should go to her, not me."

The owner smiled even more broadly, her gaze moving suggestively between Camilla and Marcus. "Of course! Credit to you both!"

Outside, the cold wind hit them, blowing into their collars.

Camilla quickly zipped her down jacket to the top but still shivered.

In the next moment, Marcus removed his scarf and wrapped it around her neck.

Camilla was startled and tried to take it off. "No need, really. My jacket zipped up can block the wind."

But Marcus insisted, "Keep it on."

Camilla stopped protesting.

At the Excel Business University gate, Hestia and Royce were leaving the laboratory, walking and talking.

Hestia suggested, "Let's get some barbecue! I know a great place!"

"Or Mexican? Burgers? Oatmeal..." Hestia grew hungrier as she spoke and couldn't help touching her stomach.

Royce sighed. Was a late-night snack really necessary?

Hestia pressed, "Have you decided? What should we eat?"

"Royce, don't tell me you're not hungry!" she added.

Royce answered seriously, "I am. We definitely need to eat."

"Yes!"

Just as they were about to head out, they ran into Sebastian.

"Sebastian!" Hestia called out.

Sebastian nodded slightly. "Good evening. Just finished at the lab?"

"Yes!"

"Where's Camilla? Isn't she with you?"

"Camilla had a meeting with Mr. Davis and the others, so she left early."

Sebastian noticed the bag in her hand with something familiar peeking out. "What's that?"

"Camilla's scarf. She forgot it when she left. I was going to bring it to her."

Sebastian asked, "Where?"

Hestia named the small restaurant.

Sebastian offered, "It's on my way. I can take it to her."

"Really? That would be great!"
