Chapter 22 Is There Anything You Don't Dare?

The alarm was set for seven, but Amara just couldn't drag herself out of bed. They ended up sprinting to avoid being late.

"What floor?" Camilla shot a glance at Amara.

"Second floor." While Camilla was all cool and collected, Amara, looking like a hot mess, bit her lip in frustration.

As they stepped out of the elevator, Amara noticed the materials in Camilla's hand and her face twisted a bit. "You here to study at the library too? Trying to get into grad school?"

Camilla stayed silent, her face unreadable.

Amara mumbled, "So many current students can't get in, and you've been out of school for years. You really think you can make it?"

Camilla replied calmly, "Whether I get in or not is another story. Are you the student who can't get in?"

Amara almost lost it.

She's a junior and hasn't even thought about working yet. Just started prepping for grad school apps, thinking there was still a year left, so no rush.

Some of her dorm mates already had study plans, but Amara hadn't hit the books seriously in college. She figured if she got in, great; if not, Leopold would have her back.

Camilla's words hit a nerve.

"Do you think everyone is like you? Whether I get in or not doesn't matter to me. Leopold said whatever I want, he'll get it for me."

Camilla didn't want to argue. "Is that so? Then I hope you always have that confidence."

With that, Camilla caught up with Lucas, who was already ahead with the crowd.

Her dorm mate watched Camilla's back and then looked at the fuming Amara, curiosity in her eyes. "Amara, who is she?"

Amara mumbled, "Just a stranger I've bumped into a few times. Let's go; weren't we gonna get good seats?"

Halfway there, she suddenly thought of something and asked her dorm mate, "Do you know how to make pumpkin porridge?"

"Hmm? Never made it. But there are plenty of tutorials online; you can look one up."

Amara immediately downloaded a cooking app with detailed steps.

After finding a seat, she focused on studying the recipe, spending the entire morning on it.

Her dorm mate saw that she hadn't even opened the book she brought and wanted to advise her but then thought, 'Amara's already dating a rich guy, so why bother?'

At noon, after leaving the library, Amara went straight to the supermarket and bought a bunch of pots and pans.

Her dorm mate was puzzled.

Amara said, "Starting today, I'm gonna learn to be a good girlfriend."

She thought, 'It's not just Camilla who can make porridge!'

Her dorm mate was speechless.

Leopold finished work, exhausted.

The driver dropped him off at the villa entrance. As soon as he got out of the car, an enthusiastic figure rushed over. "Baby, I've been waiting for you forever. You're finally back!"

Leopold took two steps back to steady himself and signaled the driver to leave. "When did you get here?"

"I came in the afternoon. Do you always work this late? You must be tired. How about I give you a massage?"

As she spoke, she reached out to touch him.

Leopold subtly avoided her. "I'm not tired. Did you come over for something today?"

Amara bit her lip, turned around, and picked up the thermal bag at her feet, taking out a bowl of pumpkin porridge. "Didn't you say you wanted to eat pumpkin porridge last time? I made this. Try it and see how it tastes."

Leopold frowned, unlocked the door with his fingerprint, and looked back at her. "Come in first."

This was the first time since they started dating that Amara got the green light to step into the villa.

Her heart was racing, and she took a deep breath before trailing behind Leopold inside.

She knew the place was huge, spacious, and bright, but seeing it up close was a whole different ball game. The American-style decor, with its gray-brown and monochrome color scheme, was low-key but screamed luxury in every detail.

Amara had taken an art appreciation class back in sophomore year and recognized the pricey paintings on the walls. The furniture was even more high-end, and even the trash can had the "LV" logo on it.

Walking through the living room, she saw a perfectly kept indoor garden, a media room, a gym, and a set of golf clubs chilling in the corner.

She'd heard this villa community had its own golf course.

She pinched her palm. Before meeting Leopold, the fanciest thing she'd seen was a classmate's Hermes bag, a designer limited edition that cost as much as an apartment in her hometown.

But here, Hermes stuff was everywhere: keychains, lighters, you name it.

If she could stick with Leopold, marry him, and have his kids, wouldn't that mean she could have all this?

A big villa, designer bags, a driver, and servants at her beck and call.

Leopold didn't notice Amara's daydreaming.

The pumpkin porridge was thick, and he only took one sip before putting down the spoon.

Amara blinked, confused. "Is it not good?"

Leopold said, "I had a meal. I'm not very hungry right now. I'll eat it later."

"Alright, but if you say it's not good, I'll be sad," Amara said, cupping her cheeks with a clear gaze. "It's my first time cooking, so please be lenient."

Leopold patted her head affectionately. "No classes today? You had time to make porridge."

"It's almost the end of the semester, so not many classes. And I'm planning to apply for grad school. I studied at the library all day and only had time to come see you in the afternoon."

Amara thought of meeting Camilla and her eyes flickered as she changed the subject. "The news said there's a meteor shower recently. Can we find some time to watch it together?"

Leopold responded with a light "hmm," showing no impatience, but his subconscious action of loosening his tie revealed some irritation. "The news these days is a mix of truth and falsehood. We'll see when the time comes."

Amara wisely didn't press further.

"It's late," Leopold stood up. "I'll take you back to school."

Amara bit her lip, thinking of the low-cut dress she had specially changed into at the dorm in the afternoon. She smiled and hooked her arm around his, her chest brushing lightly against him like a feather. "Are you in such a hurry to send me away?"

Her playful tone, combined with her innocent smile, was like a melting soft candy.

The air seemed to be filled with sweetness.

Leopold lightly curled his lips. "My self-control is too weak to keep you here."

"Is there anything you don't dare to do?" Amara looked up, a blend of innocence and allure in her eyes.

"There is." Leopold's smile was enigmatic.

"Leopold, actually I..." She intended to say she had no class tomorrow and she could stay.

"Let's go," Leopold didn't wait for her to finish, grabbing his car keys. "If you go back late, won't the door lady give you trouble?"

Amara stuck out her tongue and followed him.

At the door, she paused. "Leopold, you said there are things you don't dare to do. Then let me ask you one more thing. "
