Chapter 184 You Deal with It Yourself!

The next second, Travis received a call from Leopold's company legal team, saying they had completed the evidence collection and reserved the right to pursue legal action.

They also warned him to behave, or else they wouldn't show any mercy.

Travis was scared.

Clio, however, was indifferent. "What are you afraid of? Lawyers are all talk. Look at you, so spineless! Let's keep posting! He deletes one, we post another."

It sounded great, but in reality, every time they posted one, it got taken down.

Before they even got any compensation, Travis had already spent five grand promoting the videos.

Clio said, "Keep posting!"

"Mom! I'm out of money. Why don't you give me some?"

"I thought about it, and this isn't working. We spend money, and then the videos get taken down. Isn't that a total waste?"

"So what do we do?"

Clio's eyes lit up. "Create more accounts. We'll just post the videos without spending money to promote them."

"Will that work?"

Without promotion, there was no buzz.

Without buzz, there was no attention.

How can they pressure Leopold for money then?

Clio and Travis's antics were insignificant in Leopold's eyes.

Thinking they could use public opinion to pressure him?

Dream on!

"Mr. Wipere, what should we do about them now?"

"No buzz, ignore them."

"Got it."

But to say Clio and her son's actions were completely useless wouldn't be accurate.

At least they successfully disgusted Leopold and alerted the company's PR department.

The Wipere Group was now under Brady's control.

As the head of the Wipere family, he was usually extremely busy, dealing with billion-dollar projects and making multimillion-dollar decisions. Normally, he wouldn't pay attention to such minor issues.

But Brady had a very capable chief secretary.

As soon as Travis's video was posted, the secretary noticed it, reported it to him, and informed the PR department to prepare a solution.

Brady knew exactly what kind of person his son was. After watching the video, he knew it was probably true.

He asked the secretary to call Leopold and demand he return to the family home immediately.

When Leopold arrived, Elodie was standing next to Brady with her head bowed, even breathing cautiously.

Hearing the commotion at the entrance, she quickly gave Leopold a look: Be careful! Your dad is angry!

Leopold's expression didn't change. He stepped forward and said, "Dad."

Brady gave him a cold glance, then looked at Elodie, "Are you two trying to make my life more difficult? Choosing the time of the shareholders' meeting to cause trouble?"

"Brady, calm down," Elodie said softly. "They're just two scoundrels, bad and stupid. They can't stir up any trouble and won't affect the shareholders' meeting."

Brady sneered, "Flies don't kill people, but they spread disease. I don't care what method you use, threats or bribes, just handle this immediately. It's the eve of the shareholders' meeting, and we can't have any negative publicity!"

Finally, he looked at Leopold and coldly warned, "During this time, behave yourself. Do you understand?!"

"Yes."

After scolding the mother and son, Brady hurried back to the company.

Leopold irritably loosened his tie. "I told you long ago that Amara's baby shouldn't be kept, but you didn't listen. Now look at the mess. Anyway, I'm not dealing with it. You handle it yourself!"

With that, he left too.

Elodie, having just been scolded by her husband and now blamed by her son, was almost furious enough to explode.

"You two both blame everything on me?! Who am I doing this for? You don't understand my good intentions! Go ahead, leave. Don't come back."

"My husband scolds me; my son is ungrateful; my grandson is gone too. How unlucky am I to be stuck with this mess!"

After venting, Elodie collapsed onto the sofa.

But the matter still needed to be handled.

She took a deep breath and asked the butler to find Clio's contact information.

Soon, she got a phone number.

Elodie took a deep breath and dialed.

"Hello? Who is this?" Clio was annoyed. She had posted so many videos, but there was no response.

"Clio, hello, this is Elodie."

Clio's eyes lit up. All her annoyance and anxiety disappeared the moment she heard the voice.

"Oh," she drawled, putting on airs, "it's you. What do you want?"

She thought, 'So there is a response after all. Looks like the videos were effective!'

"Let's talk," Elodie said directly.

Clio exchanged a glance with Travis. "Talk about what? What do we have to talk about?"

Elodie was furious. "What are you pretending for? You caused all this trouble just to get money, didn't you?!"

Clio's eyes twinkled. "Hey, don't say that. I'm just seeking justice for my daughter. How did it become about money in your mouth?"

"Shameless!" Elodie sneered.

Clio gritted her teeth, "I advise you to speak to me politely. Right now, you're the one asking me for something, so know your place!"

"Cut the bullshit. How much do you want? Consider it charity. Our family donates a lot to charity every year. One more won't make a difference."

Charity?

Clio was so angry she laughed. She had planned to name a price, but Elodie's condescending attitude was so annoying!

She suddenly changed her mind. "Don't be in such a hurry. Who was it that tried to run us over a few days ago? You look down on us, but now you're calling us?"

Clio's goal was to get money and compensation, but before that, she wanted to take the opportunity to humiliate Elodie to vent her anger!

Elodie cursed inwardly, wanting to hang up, but remembering Brady's warning, she took a deep breath, wanting Clio to take the money and leave.

"What's the point of saying all that? Just name your price!"

Clio heard the impatience and disdain in Elodie's voice, but she refused to name a price!

"Why the rush? Shouldn't you apologize to me first?"

Elodie gritted her teeth. Fine, she would endure!

"It was my driver's fault last time. He didn't see you two. I'll fire him."

Clio snorted. "What's the use of firing a driver? Do you think that's enough? Money alone won't solve this."

"What do you want?" Elodie couldn't take it anymore.

Clio said slowly, "You need to show some sincerity, Mrs. Wipere."

Elodie felt a chill down her spine.

A bad feeling suddenly arose in her heart.
