Chapter 247 This was Camilla's Revenge

"Is it ready?"

It wasn't until Camilla spoke that Sebastian snapped back to reality.

"It's ready."

"Thank you."

Sebastian glanced at her waist again.

It wasn't out of any romantic thoughts, but she was just too thin!

He thought, 'Has she not been eating properly?'

Leopold sat at the dressing table from daytime to sunset, and then until dawn the next day.

It wasn't that he didn't want to sleep; he simply couldn't.

His mind tirelessly and uncontrollably recalled the past.

There were both sweet and happy moments they had shared, and scenes of him being a jerk.

It wasn't until the sky began to brighten that Leopold finally broke free from the mire of memories.

At eight in the morning, during the rush hour.

He changed into clean clothes and drove to the most popular dessert shop nearby.

A drive that usually took half an hour took him a full hour today. "Hello, I'd like a mango mille-feuille."

The clerk was stunned for a moment. "The whole cake or just a slice?"

"The whole cake."

"You're really lucky. We just made the first one and were about to cut it into slices. If you had come two minutes later, you might have had to wait for the next one."

Leopold nodded.

As the clerk packed the cake, they chatted casually. "Buying a cake so early, is it urgent?"

"My ex-girlfriend likes it."

With that one sentence, the young clerk imagined an entire romance novel.

She just didn't know who the protagonist was and who was the supporting character.

Leopold didn't feel like talking much, took the cake, got in the car, and left.

The clerk stood at the counter, looking through the glass door. "A sports car, huh."

It felt even more like a novel.

After two morning classes, Hestia and Royce headed to the lab.

Just as they left the teaching building, Hestia couldn't help but smack her lips. "I'm a bit thirsty."

Royce didn't say anything.

Hestia, long used to his silence, didn't expect Royce to respond and continued, "How about we go outside the school to buy a drink before heading to the lab? What do you want? It's on me!"

Royce knew that staying silent wouldn't help; Hestia would keep talking anyway.

He said, "I don't want anything."

"Royce, you're such a buzzkill!"

"I can go with you to buy it."

"No way! It's no fun if I drink alone. You have to pick something!"

"But I..."

Hestia interrupted. "I know, you're working out! No high sugar, no high carbs! You can choose a low-fat, zero-calorie drink!"

"Those are all fake. Drinking them will still make you gain weight."

"Can you stop talking about weight all the time? You're thin, you're amazing, always poking at my sore spot!"

Royce frowned, seriously said, "If you don't want people to call you fat, why don't you lose weight?"

"Losing weight means I can't enjoy eating and drinking. If I can't enjoy eating and drinking, I won't be happy. If I'm not happy, I'll die. So, losing weight equals death. Do you think I dare to lose weight?"

Royce was speechless.

Hestia said, "Just tell me if you'll drink or not! If you don't drink today, I won't ask you again! So boring!"

"Fine."

Hestia blinked and leaned in closer. "You're going to drink?"

Royce didn't speak.

"So are you or aren't you? I don't want you to just accompany me; you have to buy something too!"

Royce said helplessly, "I'll drink."

Hestia smiled, showing two small dimples.

Though Hestia was chubby, her features were still very pretty, especially when she smiled, her eyes curved sweetly. "That's more like it. You should've said so earlier."

Then she happily linked arms with Royce and headed off-campus.

Royce's expression stiffened, and he tried to pull his hand away.

Hestia held on tight. "Oh, don't be shy, we're good friends!"

With that, she started to jog.

Royce couldn't pull away! How was she so strong?

Just as they stepped out of the campus gate, they ran into Leopold getting out of his sports car, holding a cake.

Hestia was puzzled. "Why does he always park his car at the gate? Doesn't he know it causes traffic jams?"

Royce pondered for a moment. "Maybe he thinks it looks cool."

"What's cool about it? Because he can step out of a Porsche and attract a crowd?"

"Maybe?"

Hestia was surprised, "You think that's cool too?"

Royce shook his head.

Hestia said, "My dad and I both think Lexus is the coolest. Why does he always drive a Porsche?"

They looked at each other, confused.

Hestia looked at Leopold, "The cake he's holding looks really good."

Royce watched her swallow and was speechless.

Leopold had come to the campus gate several times and noticed that Camilla often hung out with Hestia and Royce.

After a few times, Leopold remembered their faces.

Leopold walked straight up. "Excuse me, where's Camilla? I haven't seen her."

Hestia answered honestly, "Camilla's not here."

"Where is she?"

"She took a leave."

"Why did she take a leave?"

Hestia said, "We don't know."

Leopold frowned, wanting to ask more.

But Hestia was already pulling Royce. "We have things to do, gotta go."

Leopold was left empty-handed, standing in a suit with a cake in a Minion-themed box, feeling like a ridiculous monkey at the bustling university gate!

Maybe this was Camilla's revenge.

He let out a cold laugh and walked to the trash can.

Azalea called out, "Hey!"

Leopold turned around.

Azalea smiled. "Throwing something away again?"

Leopold said the same line, "What's it to you?"

"Last time you threw away flowers, now a cake. What are you planning to throw next?"

Leopold frowned, wanting to say they weren't close.

But the next second, Azalea said, "The flowers you threw away last time were pretty. I picked them up, put them in a water bottle, and gave them to the two dorms next door. They even treated me to juice."

Leopold looked up, a bit surprised. "You really picked them up?"

"Of course. You wouldn't regret it now and ask me for money, would you? That won't work. You said you didn't want them, so I picked them up."

Leopold was silent.

Azalea said, "Since we ran into each other again, why not give me the cake too?"

"Are you going to share it with others again?"

"Of course! Such a big cake, I can't finish it myself. There's no fridge in the dorm, so it's hard to keep. Might as well share it with everyone. They might treat me to juice again."

"Can't you buy your own juice?"

Azalea looked sincere. "Juice bought by others tastes better."

"Why? Because it's free?"

"Yeah."

Leopold laughed and handed over the cake.

Azalea blinked.

Leopold asked, "Don't want it?"

"Yes, I do!" Azalea immediately took it, smiling brightly.
