Chapter 288 Everything is Ready, Let's Get to Work!

Tobias now had dark circles under his eyes and a scruffy beard, like he'd aged ten years overnight.

He couldn't even wait to eat before sliding a document over. "Camilla, here's the initial plan for the smart lab! I've tweaked and refined it based on the requirements you sent me last night."

"These areas, I think, could still use some work. For instance, this sealed door—since it's a bio lab, we might deal with harmful microorganisms or high-risk pathogens. I think we should consider these materials for the main door…" Camilla said.

"I've compared and analyzed them from different angles, and overall, this new GFRT material performs the best. It's got excellent sealing properties and is super versatile."Tobias replied.

In just one day and night, Tobias not only outlined the overall framework of the lab but also perfected the details.

To pull this off, he must have a deep understanding of the relevant lab construction standards.

Camilla blinked. "Tobias, did you look up some information last night?"

Tobias coughed lightly, "Yes, I did. I also consulted a few experts in the field."

But that wasn't what surprised Camilla the most.

Tobias said, "I looked into it. For a bio lab like yours, it should be classified based on the hazard level of the microorganisms and toxins it handles. According to current national standards, there are four levels: P1, P2, P3, and P4. By the way, I've got a bold idea."

"What's that?"

"These four levels correspond to four different protection standards. Since it's a smart lab, do you think we could set up four or even more lab modes based on these different standards?"

That way, one lab would be like having multiple labs.

Purely intelligent control, the switching process wouldn't even need any manpower.

Camilla's eyes lit up. "Can it be done?"

"Yes."

"What's the likelihood?"

"Eighty percent."

"And the budget?"

Tobias hesitated for a moment. "The initial estimate is over ten million."

Camilla fell silent.

"By the way, I've already talked to the folks about the basic construction work. We can handle it, so don't worry about that," he added.

"Okay."

"Camilla," Tobias suddenly got serious, "Thanks for trusting me. I know you don't want to hear any grandiose promises. What I can promise is to complete it meticulously according to the plan, without cutting any corners."

"Tobias, I trust you."

Tobias smiled and scratched his head.

"Tobias, can you estimate the construction period? How long will it take?"

He pondered for a moment. "Do you need it urgently?"

"Yes."

"Within two months."

"So fast!" Camilla was surprised.

The construction companies she had asked before all said it would take at least six months, with the fastest one promising four months.

Tobias explained, "Actually, the most time-consuming part is the basic construction. Once that's done, the smart renovation will be really quick."

This was also thanks to the high budget Camilla provided.

In a way, money can buy time.

"Alright! The project is in your hands, Tobias. Pick a date and start as soon as possible." She paused. "As for the part that exceeds the budget, I'll cover it. Just build it according to the best plan!"

After finishing the discussion with Tobias and having dinner, Camilla immediately updated Hestia and Royce with the latest news.

Hestia said, "Camilla, don't worry about the money. I'll just ask my dad for more."

Camilla sighed before Hestia could finish, "Won't your dad be furious if he finds out you agreed without even asking him?"

Hestia chuckled, "Don't worry, he won't! The amount I'm asking for is nothing to him."

But in the end, Camilla still refused Hestia's offer. "I'll cover the part that exceeds the budget."

"But..." Hestia hesitated.

"It's settled then," Camilla said firmly.

Royce coughed lightly, startling Hestia, "I almost forgot you were here since you weren't saying anything."

Royce's voice was a bit low, "Sorry, I can't help with the funding."

His family's situation didn't allow him to take out that much cash.

It was not that he didn't have it, but it would be hard to explain.

Camilla smiled, "Hestia and I can handle the money. Your role is elsewhere."

Royce was puzzled.

"Within two months, get all the necessary certifications and complete all administrative procedures for the lab. Make sure no one can find any fault. Can you do that?"

Camilla wasn't being paranoid; she was just being cautious.

Calliope's team had done some astonishing things recently, making Camilla realize that these people had no limits.

To prevent malicious reports, Camilla had to think ahead and prepare for all possible scenarios.

Royce nodded heavily, "Alright, leave it to me."

Tobias moved quickly. Three days later, he picked a date and started the construction.

Meanwhile, Harmony College had reached the final deadline for vacating the lab.

That morning, Calliope's team, except for Calliope herself, all her students were present.

Even the rarely seen Ignatius made a rare appearance.

Noe was impatient, eager to kick them out. "Hurry up! It's almost noon! You had so much time before, but you waited until the last minute to move. What's the point of struggling for so long? In the end, you still have to leave obediently!"

Hestia gagged, "Why do I feel nauseous every time you speak? It's like your mouth is full of crap."

Noe retorted, "You're the one full of garbage!"

He stood at a distance, instinctively leaning forward with his hands on his hips, looking every bit like a foul-mouthed street brawler.

This almost made Hestia laugh. "Why don't you come closer and say that?"

Noe wanted to stand closer but remembered how they had stomped on his feet last time, making him a bit scared.

He swallowed, "Why don't you come over here!"

Hestia immediately gave a sly smile and said, "Alright, I'm coming over."

With that, she started moving the equipment.

Noe was so scared he quickly hid behind Bronte.
