Chapter 253 Don't Move, It'll Be Done Soon.
When they arrived at the restaurant, the waiter directly led them to a private room. Then they ordered food, and the dishes were served.
No wonder Hestia highly recommended it; it was indeed very delicious.
Midway through, Camilla went to the restroom.
When she returned, there was an extra bowl of ice cream on the table.
Sebastian explained, "It's cold to ease the spiciness."
She smiled and thanked him, feeling touched. Sebastian is so nice and considerate.
After eating, Sebastian went to pay the bill.
Next to the Mexican restaurant was a night market, bustling with people and very lively.
Bella wanted to go, and Alistair happily accompanied her.
Camilla thought it would be too rude if their family of three left without Sebastian, so she waited for him at the door.
After a while, Sebastian came out, holding a paper bag. "I saw you liked it earlier, so I had the waiter pack a box for you. Eat it tonight, and if there's any left, just throw it away. Eating cantaloupe that's been left overnight can upset your stomach."
"Okay." Camilla nodded.
"Where are your parents?"
She pointed in the direction of the night market. "They went to have fun."
"Shall we go for a stroll too?"
"Sure!" Camilla responded eagerly.
If it weren't for waiting for Sebastian, she would have gone with Bella and Alistair long ago.
The two walked side by side on a street lined with stalls selling all sorts of things, from food and drinks to clothes and accessories, and even toys and games.
Passing by a jewelry stall, Camilla stopped and pointed to a gray hair claw on the stall. "How much is this?"
"Five dollars."
"How do you clip it properly? In a way that's stable and doesn't easily come loose." Camilla had bought hair claws online before, but her thick, coarse hair made them hard to secure.
She noticed that this hair claw was bigger and sturdier than the one she bought online, so she stopped to ask the price.
The vendor immediately demonstrated. "First, gather your hair, twist it up, pull it upwards, split it into two sections, flip, twist, and secure. Simple, right? In less than two minutes, you can be ready to go out looking great."
Camilla remained silent, looking confused. She wanted the vendor to teach her again, more slowly, but two new customers arrived, and the vendor went to greet them with a smile.
Now, Camilla felt even more awkward to ask.
She was about to give up, but Sebastian had already paid.
Then, with his slender fingers, he picked up the gray hair claw from a pile of hair accessories and, under Camilla's slightly bewildered gaze, smiled and said, "Turn around."
Camilla was puzzled.
Sebastian repeated, "Turn around; I'll help you clip it."
"What?"
"What's there to be puzzled about?" he chuckled, "You didn't learn it, right? I did, I'll teach you."
Camilla turned around in a daze, and the next second, Sebastian's hand gathered her hair.
Because she couldn't see, her senses were heightened tenfold. Sebastian's warm, dry fingers gently touched each strand of hair. As he twisted her long hair up, his fingertips brushed her neck, electrifying Camilla and making her heart tremble.
"Sebastian." She felt awkward all over and wanted to get away.
Sebastian said, "Don't move, almost done." As soon as he finished speaking, the hair claw was secured in her hair, tightly.
Camilla moved her neck and shook her head. It was indeed very stable, not showing any signs of coming loose.
"Your boyfriend learns quickly; it seems he did a better job than me!" the vendor said with a smile.
Sebastian smiled.
Camilla was about to explain when the vendor said, "Your boyfriend is impressive," she gave Sebastian an approving look, "learns quickly, and most importantly, he's patient and willing to help."
Camilla said, "He's not..."
The stall owner continued, "You should cherish him; good men are hard to find these days."
Camilla was helpless. Couldn't she just finish her sentence?
The two left the stall and continued walking.
Sebastian suddenly asked, "Did you learn it?"
Camilla looked at him in confusion.
"How to twist your hair."
Camilla was silent. She didn't see it; how could she learn!
Sebastian said, "Want me to teach you again?"
"No." Camilla quickly waved her hand.
It wasn't necessary to twist the hair; just clipping it casually was fine.
"Don't trust my technique?"
Camilla smiled bitterly. "I don't trust my own technique."
Sebastian was silent.
After all, no matter how much she learned, she couldn't master it, so she might as well give up.
The two walked and stopped, and when they almost reached the end of the street, they met up with Bella and Alistair. "Mom!"
"Hey? Your hair clip looks good and is of nice quality. Where did you buy it?" Bella immediately noticed Camilla's twisted-up hair, her gaze naturally falling on the gray hair claw.
Camilla pointed to the stall ahead.
Bella looked at her again. "Did you clip your hair yourself?"
Camilla didn't speak.
"I knew it wasn't! You've never been able to twist your hair since you were a child, no matter how much you were taught! Did the vendor help you?"
Camilla quickly agreed, just wanting to skip this topic.
Sebastian didn't say a word the whole time, standing beside her, watching with a faint smile.
"Sebastian, what are you smiling at?" Alistair followed his gaze, glancing around, but saw nothing.
Sebastian touched his cheek. "Was I smiling?"
"You were smiling just now, not now."
He pondered for a moment before saying, "I suddenly thought of something funny and couldn't help but smile."
Alistair nudged his shoulder. "I sometimes do that too. When I think of Bella, I can't help but smile foolishly."
Sebastian's eyes flickered.
Alistair said, "By the way, how come you don't have a girlfriend at your age? Is it because you're too busy with work and don't have time to meet girls? Do you want me to introduce you to someone? We have some new female teachers at our school who are pretty good!"
Sebastian almost choked. "No need."
"Why be so polite with me?"
