Chapter 182 Just Tell Me How Much

"Mom, I found that scumbag's company!"

Travis had asked someone to look into it with a try-it-and-see attitude, and to his surprise, they actually found it.

"Great! We were just wondering where to find him, and here it is! Let's go find him!"

Clio's eyes lit up with excitement, eager to get going.

During this time, just hanging around the Wipere Mansion had only made Elodie uncomfortable and afraid to go out, but it hadn't achieved anything else.

But now things were different.

Half an hour later.

"This is Leopold's company? Such a tall building, he must be loaded!" Travis looked up at the skyscraper in front of him, swallowing hard, unable to hide the greed in his eyes.

Clio also clicked her tongue in amazement, "Your sister really found a rich man this time. He looks incredibly wealthy!"

If they could seize this opportunity to get some money, they wouldn't have to worry about the rest of their lives.

Thinking of this, Clio and Travis exchanged a glance and walked in with large strides.

However, Leopold's company was located in the city center, equipped with a high-level security system, and not just anyone could enter.

Clio saw a janitor cleaning nearby and sneaked into the utility room, grabbing two sets of uniforms to disguise themselves as janitors and blend in.

Once inside, the two of them looked around the building's interior, clearly out of place among the people coming and going.

But they were completely unaware, looking around until the elevator arrived, and they followed the crowd inside.

"Travis, did your friend say which floor that man is on?"

Clio was a bit confused by the many floor numbers.

Travis shook his head, "He didn't say, but it must be the top floor."

Then the elevator opened.

It was indeed the top floor.

Clio and Travis stepped out, and Clio asked, "It's so big, which way should we go?"

Travis didn't know either; the place was surprisingly large and lacked any signs. "We should probably go straight?"

They thought, 'Oh well, let's try our luck!'

They hadn't walked far when they saw the words "President's Office," and Travis's eyes lit up.

Suddenly, an assistant got up from their desk and walked towards Clio and Travis, scrutinizing them with growing suspicion. "Hold on, you two! Yes, I'm talking to you!"

"Which floor's janitors are you from? How did you get to the top floor?"

And heading straight for Leopold's office.

Something was off!

"Sorry," Clio lied smoothly, "We're new here and somehow ended up on the top floor. But since we're here, we might as well clean this area for you."

Saying that, she started towards the president's office.

"Stop! Mr. Wipere's office is off-limits to unauthorized personnel, and cleaning is done by designated staff. We don't need you."

The assistant's gaze then fell on Travis. This janitor looked too young! And a male janitor at that!

He frowned, "Since you took the elevator, you must have your work IDs. Show them to me."

Clio froze.

Travis, being young, started to panic, his eyes darting nervously.

The assistant became more certain that something was wrong with these two. "If you can't show your work IDs, I'll have to call the police!"

Seeing their disguise was blown, Clio decided to drop the act, sneering and straightening up, "Who said we're janitors? I'm here to see Leopold. Where is he? Tell him to come out!"

Travis, emboldened by Clio's stance, chimed in, "Why do you care so much? Just call Leopold out! We need to talk to him!"

The assistant, seeing the two starting to act shamelessly, frowned even more and was about to call security when Leopold emerged from the meeting room.

"Mr. Wipere." The assistant sighed in relief.

Leopold had just finished a business meeting and saw two janitors and his assistant blocking his office door from a distance.

Hearing the janitors' rude words and recalling what Elodie had mentioned a few days ago, he immediately guessed their identities.

"You can go back to work," he told the assistant, waving him off.

Then, he opened the office door.

Without needing an invitation, Clio and Travis swaggered in.

Leopold then took a closer look at the two.

The woman had slightly loose skin, possibly due to age, with somewhat sunken eyes, but her facial features still hinted at past beauty.

Unfortunately, her sharp chin, thin lips, and shifty eyes gave her a mean and shrewd appearance.

Amara's features were strikingly similar to hers; they looked alike.

As for Travis, he looked like a small-time thug, with a sleazy demeanor, clearly up to no good.

While Leopold was sizing them up, Clio was also making her own judgments.

The man was tall, handsome, and dressed in a suit, looking like a TV drama's elite male lead, but his eyes were too cold, making him hard to fool.

She glanced at the watch on Leopold's wrist. Although she didn't recognize the brand, the numerous diamonds on it, shining brightly, indicated it was very expensive.

She thought, 'Amara sure knew how to pick a man!'

Clio swallowed hard, barely able to contain her greed. She even wanted to skip all the steps and go straight to discussing money.

After all, rich people wouldn't miss a bit of money.

But on second thought, she couldn't be too hasty. Having come this far, she couldn't ruin it at the last step!

Clio raised her chin slightly, adopting a stance of seeking justice, "Are you Leopold? You're the one who got my daughter pregnant and then abandoned her? Bullying us because we have no one to stand up for us? I'm here today to demand an explanation!"

"An explanation?" Leopold laughed, but the smile didn't reach his eyes.

"Yes! If it weren't for you, she wouldn't be in this situation! You scumbag! Heartless man! Give my daughter back her dignity!"

Saying this, she instinctively raised her hand, wanting to rush forward and hit him.

However, under Leopold's cold gaze, she shrank back in fear, finally lowering her hand awkwardly.

Seeing this, Travis also stepped forward to back her up, "You hurt my sister! Now here I am! My sister slept with you, and now she's had a miscarriage, lying miserably in the hospital. You should at least give us an explanation! This is a society governed by law, where everything is about legalities and rules. If you push us too far, we'll take you to court! Let's see what's what then!"

Leopold calmly watched the mother and son perform their act, his face expressionless.

Finally, he spoke, "Are you done?"

Clio and Travis exchanged a glance. "What do you mean?"

Leopold replied, "Just tell me, how much do you want?"
