Chapter 181 The Drunken Maniac

Camilla had completely forgotten that memory.

She only remembered that Alistair asked her to see Sebastian off, and she went.

And then?

Nothing after that.

When she woke up again, it was the next morning. She stretched comfortably in bed, feeling nothing out of the ordinary.

Bella pushed the door open and handed her a glass of warm water. "Awake?"

Camilla sat up, took the glass, and took a sip, just as Alistair continued, "See if you dare to sneak that much alcohol again! You went on a drunken rampage, wouldn't listen to anyone, acting like a little lunatic."

Drunken rampage?

Little lunatic?

Camilla's hand froze mid-sip.

Some fragmented memories flashed through her mind, but she couldn't grasp any of them.

She swallowed hard, her tone cautious. "Dad, what did I do yesterday?"

"What did you do? You don't remember?"

Camilla shook her head frantically.

She really didn't remember.

"I asked you to see Sebastian off, and you ended up messing up his hair. Not only did he not mind, but he also carried you back."

"Alright," Bella interrupted, "stop scolding her. Her face is about to turn as red as a tomato! Let's go, leave her alone."

With that, she ushered Alistair out and thoughtfully closed the door behind her.

Later, a burst of embarrassed wailing erupted from the bedroom. "Oh my god!"

She had lost all face!

Alistair and Bella exchanged a glance and couldn't help but laugh.

Bella said,"Your daughter is just like you, terrible with alcohol."

Alistair replied, "And like you, bad at drinking but loves to drink."

Bella glared at him. "Want a beating?"

Alistair immediately waved his hands. "No, no."

The family of three lived happily and peacefully, but comparatively, Elodie had been having a tough time lately.

Ever since Clio and Travis caused a scene at the hotel and realized no one could stop them, they seemed to have tasted success. For several days, they camped outside the Wipere family's old mansion, playing the role of shameless troublemakers to perfection.

Elodie got a headache just seeing Clio and Travis. She still felt disgusted by that phlegm.

The security reported that the two of them came to the gate every day, rain or shine, even bringing their own stools and snacks, as if they were planning a long-term stay.

She didn't dare to leave the house!

"How about it? Are those two still there?" In the living room, Elodie gritted her teeth and asked the servant who had just returned from grocery shopping.

The servant looked a bit frightened. "Still there. When Mira and I went out, that man and woman stared at us fiercely, as if they were going to kill us the next second. It scared Mira and me to death."

Clio wasn't stupid. This was a residence, not like the hotel where they could barge in. If they caused trouble, they could be charged with trespassing.

So, she and Travis just camped there.

They came and went at the same time every day, doing nothing but squatting there and staring creepily at everyone who passed by, causing everyone in the mansion to talk and feel uneasy.

To avoid Clio and Travis, Elodie had been cooped up at home for a week.

She was anxious every day, couldn't sit still, and had to endure the servants' gossip. But thinking that those two would eventually leave, she gritted her teeth and waited them out.

Unexpectedly, almost a week had passed, and the two showed no signs of stopping.

Elodie couldn't take it anymore!

Seeing her friends' beautiful photos on social media while she was stuck at home like a prisoner?

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got, and the more she wanted to go out!

Elodie called the driver, "Get ready, I'm going out in twenty minutes."

"Yes, Madam."

Elodie went upstairs to change and put on makeup.

The driver was already waiting. She bent down and got into the car.

"Let's go."

Sure enough, the car hadn't even left the gate when she saw Clio and Travis squatting by the iron gate, one on each side.

"Madam, those two have been squatting at the gate. What if they rush up to block the car?"

The driver asked because a few days ago, when he took the car out for maintenance, those two had blocked him.

Seeing no one in the car, they let him go.

The driver was also annoyed. Those two were clearly shameless and reckless troublemakers. He just wanted to keep his job and get paid every month, not risk his life.

Hearing this, Elodie sneered, "Don't worry about it. Just drive out and don't stop. I'll take responsibility for whatever happens!"

The driver was a bit scared, but he didn't dare disobey Elodie's orders.

As the car drove out, the two immediately blocked the way.

The driver instinctively wanted to brake, but Elodie was staring at him from the back seat. He didn't dare stop, so he gritted his teeth and stepped on the gas.

Clio and Travis weren't blocking a car for the first time. Previously, the driver had always stopped. This time...

Clio's face changed, and she quickly pulled Travis aside.

The next second, the car sped past where they had just been standing.

If they hadn't moved...

"Wow! They were trying to run us over! No need to guess, that old bitch Elodie must be in the car! What a bunch of heartless lunatics. If you hit us, I bet you won't afford to pay!"

Clio continued, "Don't think you can go out today and tomorrow! I'm telling you, if you don't give us compensation, we'll come every day, make a scene every day, and let everyone know! If you make our lives miserable, we'll make sure your whole family loses face!"

The shouting came from behind, and Elodie sneered as she looked back, seeing Clio and Travis jumping up and down. She felt inexplicably pleased.

Travis said, "Mom, what now? She's gone. Should we keep staying here?"

They had been camping out to force Elodie to show up. Now that she was gone, the mansion was left with just some servants and security. Staying seemed pointless.

"She left, but she has to come back. If you're tired, go home first. I'll stay here! Let's see if she never comes back!"

Clio's plan was simple. She didn't have to work and had plenty of time to wait Elodie out.

Travis thought it made sense. "Then I won't go back either. I'll stay here and make them pay!"

But who knew, they ended up waiting for two more days.

"Mom, do you think she's really not coming back?" Travis was covered in mosquito bites, scratching everywhere, his face and neck full of red bumps.

Clio pouted. "I don't believe it. This is her home. Where else would she go?"

"But rich people have so many houses."

Just then, Travis's phone rang.

He answered impatiently, but then whatever was said on the other end made his eyes light up. He thanked the caller and promised to treat them to a meal.

After hanging up, he looked at Clio, excited.
