Chapter 161 Miscarriage

The screen showed the entire process of her sneaking into the study and swapping two documents.

In addition, there were surveillance videos of her bossing Elodie around and verbally attacking her.

Amara was caught off guard and stunned.

She didn't know if it was because of these videos or because of the two merciless slaps from Leopold.

"I thought you were just vain and shallow, but I didn't expect you to be a habitual liar, sharp-tongued, and a troublemaker trying to sow discord. Slapping you is to make you recognize your place and stop having delusions. It's also a warning not to stir up trouble again, or you'll find out there are things worse than death in this world." Leopold's eyes narrowed slightly, his tone grim.

Amara instinctively stepped back, so terrified that she could even ignore the burning pain on both cheeks. "Leopold, I'm sorry."

Leopold said nothing, his face expressionless.

Amara continued, "I will personally go to Elodie and apologize. She can hit me or scold me, and I won't talk back! I'll do whatever she wants."

Leopold still didn't speak.

Amara panicked, tears and snot streaming down her face. "I really didn't mean it. Maybe it's because of the pregnancy, the hormonal imbalance caused emotional issues, so I treated Elodie that way."

Leopold watched her coldly as she tried to justify herself, crying even more pitifully.

"Are you done talking?"

Amara was stunned.

"Have you cried enough?"

"Leopold!"

"If you're done talking and crying, go pack your things."

"What?"

Leopold smiled. "Did you think I was joking when I told you to get out that day? Letting you stay for more than half a month was already more than enough."

"No! You can't! You can't do this to me!" Amara cried and shook her head, the fear of being kicked out now far surpassing her previous terror.

"I'm still carrying your child, you can't kick me out!"

Leopold ignored her screams and directly called security.

"No, I'm not leaving!" Before security arrived, Amara panicked.

She went crazy and lunged at Leopold. "I don't want to! Why should I leave! I'm not leaving! Your mom values the child in my belly so much, how will you explain to her if you kick me out!"

Leopold didn't have time to dodge and was hit by her. Amara started to go berserk, her fists raining down on him.

"Leopold! You heartless and unfaithful man! I'm still carrying your child, and you're thinking about your ex! I'm not leaving! I'll die here if I have to!"

Amara screamed and shouted like she had lost her mind, refusing to listen to anything. He was really annoyed and pushed her away.

Amara staggered back, hitting the wall with a dull thud.

But she seemed crazy, standing up and charging again.

This time, Leopold was prepared and dodged.

Amara couldn't stop in time and crashed into the edge of the desk.

Her face turned pale, her body stiffened, and she felt a warm flow between her legs.

Sensing something, she slowly looked down to see bright red blood trickling down her legs and hitting the floor.

She was bleeding

The red was blinding.

At that moment, she felt something important being stripped away, moving far away!

Amara's legs trembled, and she almost fainted.

"Ah! My baby!" A piercing scream shattered the night.

Leopold took Amara to the hospital and left without a glance.

After all, she had been here so many times, was there ever a real issue?

Just a tactic.

He wanted to see how long Amara could keep this up!

"Where are her family members? The baby can't be saved, we need to induce labor. Here's the consent form for the family to sign!"

The nurse stammered.

The doctor glared at her, "Hurry up, what are you standing there for?"

"The family has already left."

"What! What do you mean by left?"

"She is our hospital's SVIP, she's been admitted several times before."

The doctor was puzzled. She was on night duty today and hadn't handled Amara before, so she didn't know the situation.

But the nurse was familiar, and Amara had given her a hard time.

Every time Amara was admitted, the entire nurse station was in a gloomy mood.

"What does that have to do with the family signing? Contact the family immediately! We need the signature to proceed with the surgery. The fetus has no heartbeat, and she is bleeding heavily. If we delay, her life could be at risk."

"But the man who brought her here left her and walked away!"

The doctor was a bit angry.

She thought, 'How can there be such a husband in this world! So what if he had money? He could afford SVIP but doesn't have time to stay with his bleeding wife?'

"Didn't you say she had been admitted several times before? There should be other visitors, right? Check the visitor log and contact someone."

"Okay!"

When the call came, Elodie was sound asleep.

She had her phone on silent and didn't hear it.

The screen lit up and went dark, over and over, four or five times, and finally went silent.

Clara, on the other hand, received the call. She was partying with friends and having a great time.

"Clara, your phone is ringing."

"Let me see." She took out her phone and saw it was a landline number.

It was probably a spam or sales call, so she hung up without thinking.

A moment later, the call came again.

This time, she answered.

But the loud music drowned out the voice on the other end, and she could only hear bits and pieces.

"What? Hospital? Amara? She's in the hospital again? Unbelievable!"

"Miscarriage? No way, her belly is tough!"

"Sign what? I'm busy, you let her handle it herself, I don't care about this crap!"

"Hello? What did you say? I can't hear you, don't call me again. I know you're a nurse, even if the director calls, I won't care! I don't have time for her drama."

"Alright, that's it, you handle it however you see fit, I have things to do, bye."

She put away her phone and smiled at her friends.

"Come on, let's continue! Whose turn is it to drink?"

The nurse almost cursed when she hung up the phone.

She returned to the operating room and reported to the doctor.

"What do you mean no one cares?" the doctor asked.

"Just what it sounds like."

The doctor was shocked, "What about her parents, can we contact them?"

The nurse shook her head and whispered, "Her situation is a bit complicated."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, she seems to be pregnant out of wedlock, trying to marry into a wealthy family with the baby. Her boyfriend didn't want the baby, but his mother did." She paused, thinking about how to phrase it, "But she kinda likes a troublemaker, so she keeps coming to the hospital. Last time she was admitted, she had a big fight with the man's mother in the ward. Maybe because of too many incidents, no one believes her anymore."

The doctor understood, her anger dissipating. She sighed, "The surgery must be done. Since we can't get a family signature and we've tried our best to contact them, we'll initiate the emergency protocol. Report to the hospital administration, check the operating room surveillance, and follow all procedures strictly to avoid unnecessary disputes later."

With everything in place, the doctor put on her gloves, her expression professional and calm. "Prepare for surgery."
