Chapter 60 The Beauty Before Him Seemed Like Air
Leopold wasn't dumb; he had suspected that Camilla's accident might not have been an accident.
So, he jumped on checking the footage ASAP.
Turned out, it was just a fluke—the shark and the oxygen tank.
Marcus frowned. "Listen up..."
Leopold brushed him off and snapped, "Back off from Camilla, or you'll regret it!"
Marcus watched him walk away, raising an eyebrow.
He thought, 'Leopold didn't even mention Amara. Did he forget, or is he hiding something?'
Amara stood there, looking all jittery. When she saw Leopold coming over with that serious face, she slapped on a smile and grabbed his arm. "Babe, I've been waiting forever. Let's grab some breakfast; I'm starving."
She pouted cutely at the end.
Leopold just grunted and didn't pull away.
He glanced around; Camilla was already gone. He shoved his hands in his pockets, feeling annoyed. As expected, Marcus, that sneaky dude, had an agenda.
Camilla had been chilling on the island for a few days and noticed not only was the scenery dope, but the people were super chill too.
Tourists from all over were here, different skin tones and languages, but everyone got along fine.
Early in the morning, leaving the restaurant, she bumped into a dark-skinned beauty.
With fiery dreadlocks and a neon green bikini, she was bold and wild.
Noticing Camilla's stare, she blew a kiss her way.
Camilla felt the heat and beauty, blushed, and almost choked on her spit.
Juniper looked over. "You good? Got a cold?"
"No, just wondering, why's everyone in bikinis today?"
The island was surrounded by water, so bikinis and shorts were normal, but seeing so many at once was rare.
"You don't know!" Juniper exclaimed.
Camilla was puzzled. "Know what?"
"Seriously, you came to Reefhaven Isles without any research? Today’s 'Bikini Day.'"
"On this day, ladies rock bikinis to the beach, and guys carry a rose. They surf, drink, and dance. At sunset, everyone heads back to the beach, and the guys give their roses to the girl they think is the hottest."
"The girl with the most roses becomes the princess of the night and gets a mystery gift from the hotel."
She winked at Camilla and said mysteriously, "I've got everything ready to make sure you turn heads!"
Camilla was totally lost. "What?"
Five minutes later.
Juniper urged, "You done changing?"
A small head peeked out from behind the door, hesitating, "I feel like this outfit is too much."
Juniper raised an eyebrow, seeing her shrink back like a turtle, and yanked her out, pushing her in front of the mirror, "Wow! Look at yourself, where's the 'too much'? This is called stunning, okay?"
She nodded in satisfaction. "I have good taste. Look at that waist, those legs, that cleavage..."
"Hey!" Camilla quickly stopped her, "Enough!"
Just those two sentences made her cheeks burn.
Camilla took a deep breath and finally looked at herself in the mirror. The red bikini was the boldest two-piece style.
What made Camilla freak out were the two tiny pieces of fabric barely covering her chest.
Way too embarrassing.
"Nope, nope, I gotta change."
"Hey!" Juniper grabbed her. "Change what? This is perfect. There are folks wearing less, and you're shy about this?"
"Juniper, seriously, I can't wear this out."
"Don't." Just then, Juniper's phone rang.
Camilla seized the chance to break free. "Don't worry about me, go chat with your hot guy!"
With no choice, Juniper turned around to answer the call outside.
"Baby, does this outfit look good on me?"
"Yeah." Leopold didn't even glance up.
Amara picked up another outfit, "How about this one? Is the color too plain?"
"It's fine."
"And this one? It feels more sexy." Amara was comparing outfits in front of the full-length mirror when she noticed Leopold had been glued to his phone the whole time.
He hadn't looked at her once!
She frowned and her eyes widened, but just as she was about to lose it, she thought of something and quickly softened her expression.
"Baby." She fluttered into Leopold's arms like a butterfly, "Help me choose between these three?"
Leopold casually pointed. "That one."
"Ah! I like that one too. Seems like we're in sync. Should I try it on for you?" She bit her lip.
"Yeah."
Amara stood up and started taking off her dress right in front of him.
It wasn't until she unhooked her bra that Leopold finally looked up, but the sight before him seemed like air.
He even frowned. "What are you doing?"
Amara stood there awkwardly.
Leopold said, "Isn't there a dressing room?"
"Alright then." Amara picked up her dress and fled.
When she came out after changing, Leopold had already put down his phone and was rubbing his temples tiredly.
He had left in a hurry, and there were many things at the company that hadn't been dealt with. John had summarized the important ones and sent them over, and he had just finished handling them.
"Are you done changing?" Leopold stood up.
Amara said, "Yes."
"Let's go." He said and walked out first.
He didn't even look at her.
Amara was discouraged.
But she quickly adjusted her mood. She thought, 'If he doesn't look now, once we go out and see many men looking look at me, Leopold will naturally feel possessive.
Thinking of this, Amara pulled the fabric on her chest down a bit more.
"Baby, wait for me."
The beach was packed.
Looking out, there were men and women of various skin colors, in all sorts of bikinis and beach shorts.
Amara caught up with Leopold but deliberately didn't hold his arm, even keeping a small distance between them.
Sure enough, along the way, she received quite a few whistles from people trying to flirt.
But Leopold seemed not to hear any of it, walking ahead on his own.
Amara gritted her teeth in anger.
At the outdoor beach, Leopold lay down directly, leaving Amara standing awkwardly, unsure whether to lie down with him or not.
Her movements were stiff, and her expression was awkward.
"Hi, beautiful, are you from SinoLand?" A handsome guy with brown eyes walked over and greeted her with a smile.
Amara smiled sweetly. "Yes, do you speak our language?"
The two chatted happily, and during the conversation, Amara kept an eye on Leopold's reaction.
