Chapter 276 Did You Go Running Again?

"Damn!" Noe clutched his foot, hopping around in pain and yelling

Camilla feigned a look of surprise. "Sorry about that, my hand slipped. But with your thick skin, a little hit shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Seeing this, Hestia turned around and picked up a table.

Noe was stunned. "What are you doing?"

Hestia said casually, "I'm moving stuff!" With that, she threw the table at him.

Noe immediately jumped aside. The next second, the entire table landed where he had just been standing. If he hadn't dodged quickly, he might have been knocked out.

"You guys..."

"Excuse me, let me through!" Royce, who had been silent, quickly walked over and stomped hard on Noe's other foot!

"Sorry! I left in a hurry today and forgot my glasses. Did I just step on some trash?" Royce said with a feigned look of concern.

Hestia shook her head seriously. "No, trash can be recycled. What you stepped on is worse than trash; no one would dare to handle it because it's too dirty."

"You guys are too much! You have to finish moving today, or I'll get the janitors to help you!" After saying that, Noe pointed angrily at them and left. But his retreating figure looked flustered and cowardly.

Hestia laughed with her hands on her hips. "If you have the guts, don't leave! Come back, I haven't finished moving my stuff!" After laughing, her mood instantly dropped. "I thought we had five days, but now we don't even have one."

Royce's face darkened. "They're pushing us too far!"

Camilla thought for a moment, took out her phone, walked to a corner, and called Sebastian. "Sebastian, can you do me a favor?"

After lunch, the janitors came again, it wasn't to move things this time. "We're really sorry. We're here to help you restore everything. The school just told us not to rush moving and to wait five days."

Camilla knew instantly that Sebastian must have negotiated with the school authorities.

"Alright, thank you."

"Oh, it's no trouble at all. It's our job."

Soon, the equipment was restored, and the lab was cleaned up. Hestia and Royce exchanged a glance, donned their lab coats, and got to work, with Camilla quickly joining them. They worked until ten at night, ordering takeout to save time.

Camilla checked the time on her wrist. "It's almost ten; let's call it a day."

Hestia said, "Alright, we'll continue tomorrow."

Royce nodded in agreement.

Then they took a cab home, with Camilla getting off first. "Bye, see you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."

She walked into her apartment building. The dim, narrow hallway let in a cold draft, making her wrap her coat tighter.

Suddenly, Camilla heard someone call her name. She turned and saw Sebastian, sweaty from his workout.

"Sebastian, out for a run this late?"

"No time to exercise during the day, so I run more at night."

Camilla stood still, waiting for him to catch up, and then they walked up together.

She said, "Thanks for your help today, otherwise we would've been kicked out of the lab."

He waved it off. "No need to be so polite between us. Is five days enough? If not, I can work things out with the school authorities again."

"It's enough."

Fire safety issues involved the district fire department, and the order must be followed. Even the principal couldn't solve it. They'd have to move eventually, so there was no point in making things difficult for Sebastian, who had already helped her many times.

Time always flew by when they were together. Before they knew it, they had reached the seventh floor.

"Sebastian, good night. See you tomorrow." Camilla opened her door and went inside.

Sebastian smiled. "See you tomorrow."

After she closed her door, Sebastian also closed his.

Entering his study, he sat back at his computer, and as soon as the screen lit up, Hector's messages started popping up:

[Where are you? Why did you stop replying?]

[Did you go for a run again? You seem really off tonight.]

[I've seen night runners, but never someone who goes out multiple times in one night.]

[Forget it, I'll handle the data myself. Can't rely on you!]

Gradually growing more annoyed, Hector finally gave up and logged off silently.

Sebastian recalled seeing Camilla alone in the dim hallway, looking frail and lonely. At least on his fifth trip down, he finally met her and could walk her up the stairs.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but smile.

On the other side, Camilla returned home, took off her coat, and felt the warmth of the heater spread through her body. After drinking a glass of warm water, she went to take a shower.

When she came out, it was almost eleven. She sat on the couch, tiredly rubbing her temples. Just then, her phone rang. Camilla picked it up, and the next second, seeing the caller ID, her expression darkened. "Hello."

Leopold answered, "I just need one day. Don't worry, I won't make any unreasonable demands, and all activities will be outdoors. As soon as it gets dark, I'll take you home."

Camilla asked cautiously, "What exactly do you want?"

Leopold gave a bitter smile. "You hate me so much now. It's really hard to see you. I just want to enjoy some peaceful moments with you and have a relaxed conversation."

Leopold thought with a self-deprecating smile, 'But even that has become a luxury, something that needs to be negotiated like a business deal.'

"Alright."

Leopold's eyes lit up.

Camilla added, "But I have conditions."

"What conditions?"

"Any request that makes me uncomfortable, I can refuse."

"Deal!"
