Chapter 166 Drinking Coffee

Camilla and Marcus were sitting by the stone table, talking about something.

The two were sitting very close to each other.

Camilla had a serious expression, and Marcus was listening intently, nodding occasionally.

Sebastian didn't miss the faint smile at the corner of Marcus's mouth. Even from such a distance, he could sense the "courtship" hormones in the air.

His eyes darkened a bit.

The next second, he took out his phone and called Hector.

"Hey, Sebastian, what's up?"

"Want to grab some coffee?"

"Huh?" Hector looked at his phone screen to confirm it was Sebastian calling, "What do you mean? Why suddenly talk about coffee?"

"Do you want some? My treat. You can ask the others too."

Hector immediately shouted loudly, "Sebastian's treating us to coffee, anyone who doesn't want any, raise your hand! Great, no one. So, we're all having some."

"Alright. I'll go buy it."

"Why don't you just order delivery? It's much more convenient. Why go yourself?"

Sebastian said, "I'm already outside, so I'll just go. What flavors do you guys want?"

Hector said, "I'll have a caramel latte; Betty wants a White Chocolate Mocha..."

Sebastian rubbed his forehead. "You guys are ordering too complicated, I can't remember all that."

Hector was shocked.

What a joke!

He thought, 'You, Sebastian, have a photographic memory. You can remember complex experimental data after just one look, and this is too complicated?'

Sebastian said, "Send all that to Camilla. I saw her downstairs, I'll go with her to buy it."

"Alright, alright! That's a good idea! I'll send it to Camilla right away."

After ending the call, Hector quickly typed.

"Done! Sent!"

With a voice message: [Sorry to trouble you, Camilla~]

Suddenly, his smile froze.

Wait a minute!

He realized something was off, 'Sebastian going to buy coffee, it would be more convenient to send it to his phone, why send it to Camilla?'

'Making a simple problem complicated?'

"Camilla." Sebastian spoke up.

The two people in the pavilion looked up at the same time.

"Sebastian? What are you doing here?"

Sebastian told the truth, "Just passing by."

The smile on Marcus's lips faded slightly. He stood up and extended his hand. "Nice to see you again, Sebastian."

"Pleasure." Sebastian shook his hand.

Their eyes met, one calm and indifferent, the other casual.

The tension began to spread.

"Mr. Davis, what brings you to the school?" They released their hands immediately, and Sebastian withdrew his hand.

Marcus replied, "I'm here on behalf of my teacher to handle some matters."

At this moment, Camilla saw the message from Hector. She looked at Sebastian in surprise. "Sebastian, you're treating everyone to coffee?"

"Yes. After trying the one you gave me last time, I found it pretty good. I'm going to that same place today."

Sebastian mentioned the name of the coffee shop.

Camilla nodded. "Alright, but I might need you to wait for me a bit, it won't take long."

"Okay."

Marcus's smile faded when he heard the name of the coffee shop.

A suspicion arose in his mind. "You like coffee too?"

"Never had it before, but I tried the one Camilla gave me last time and found it okay."

"Hot or cold?"

Sebastian smiled, "Hot."

"Was there anything special about the packaging?"

"There was a hand-drawn picture of Cupid's arrow piercing a heart on the cup. Is the service at the shop that good? Drawing on the cups?"

Marcus confirmed it.

It was the one he bought for Camilla!

"Alright." Camilla finished checking the reference answers Marcus provided, "There are three places where the details are missing. I've added notes next to them. You can take it back to Felix."

She handed over the paper and pen. "Then I'll be off."

Marcus could only smile and say, "Alright. See you."

"Okay. Let's go, Sebastian. The coffee shop is just across the street from where we live."

She had been there with Marcus last time to discuss something.

"Coffee's here!"

Betty, Darren, and Hector came over.

"Thanks, Sebastian, and thanks, Camilla!"

"Making you two busy people run errands, what a sin!"

Hector took a lot, "Ah, refreshing~"

Betty asked, "Is it that good?"

Darren took his and Doris's coffee, smiling as he thanked Sebastian and Camilla.

Then he happily brought it to Doris.

"Doris, this is yours."

"Oh."

Knowing that Camilla went with Sebastian to get coffee for everyone, Doris felt a pang in her heart and lost her appetite.

Yet Darren kept pestering her. "Doris, why aren't you drinking? Here, let me put the straw in for you."

Doris couldn't take it anymore. "Can you stop being so annoying?! You keep nagging! Can you please talk less?"

She got up and left her seat.

Darren scratched his head, looking at the untouched coffee on the table, "When I asked, you didn't say you didn't want it."

Darren might never understand why Doris wasted the coffee.

This was the gap between them, a gap not from education or values.

But from the natural differences brought by their upbringing and family environment.

Doris didn't refuse because it was Sebastian's treat, nothing more.

She went to the hallway to catch her breath.

Suddenly, her phone rang, and she answered, "Hello."

"Doris, I found the house you asked me to find!"

"You found it?" Doris's eyes lit up.

"Yes, let me tell you, it took a lot of effort. The owners are an elderly couple who have lived there for most of their lives and were reluctant to rent it out. I had to persuade them, and it just so happened that their son had some issues and needed money urgently, so they agreed to vacate the house. But the price is a bit high."

"Money is not a problem. Which unit, which building, and which floor?"

"Unit 3, ground floor."

Sebastian lived in Unit 1, seventh floor.

That was too far.

The light in Doris's eyes dimmed, and she said indifferently, "Oh, is there any other unit?"

"Currently, this is the only one. Most of the neighborhood residents live there and rarely rent out. The other neighborhood I mentioned last time also meets your requirements, I don't know why you still won't accept it. Why don't you just tell me which unit, which floor, and which apartment you want to rent, and I'll ask for you?"

Renting a house was just an excuse; the real reason was to be close to someone!

Doris didn't catch the sarcasm in his words and thought he was serious. She thought for a moment, "Can you help me find a place in Unit 1? Preferably above the fifth floor, the sixth floor would be best."

She wanted to say the seventh floor, but Sebastian and Camilla lived there, so it wasn't an option.

The closest would be the sixth floor.

The real estate agent laughed. "Sure, I'll find it for you." But he thought, 'Of course not!'

Just as Doris hung up the phone, a voice suddenly came from behind.

"Doris, are you looking to rent a place?"

Doris froze.

She turned around slowly to see Darren standing not far away with a coffee in hand. She didn't know how long he had been there or how much he had heard.
