Chapter 260 Sebastian Got Shy Again

After visiting the garden and eating macarons, Bella felt very satisfied.

The next day, the couple returned to Starlight City.

Camilla took them to the high-speed rail station.

Elmer rushed over upon hearing the news. "Bella, these are letters from fans sent to the publisher, and they asked me to pass them on to you."

Bella was a bit surprised; it was her first time receiving fan mail, and it came in a big package.

Back home, Camilla took advantage of the good weather to wash the sheets and duvet covers of two rooms. The summer heat had waned, giving way to the cool breezes of autumn.

She reorganized the wardrobe, putting away seldom-worn clothes and moving the fall outfits to a more convenient spot.

There were only two tomatoes left in the fridge.

By the time she finished, it was already 2 PM, and she hadn't had lunch yet. There were only two tomatoes left in the fridge. Camilla sighed, resignedly changed her shoes, and went out. She still had to go to the supermarket.

"Going out now?" She had just gone down one flight of stairs when she ran into Sebastian.

"Yeah," Camilla nodded, "There's no food at home, so I'm going to the supermarket."

"Perfect timing, let's go together." Sebastian immediately turned around and went downstairs with her.

"What are you buying?"

Sebastian subtly avoided the question and just asked, "Which supermarket are we going to?"

There were three nearby, all within walking distance.

Camilla named one and then asked him, "Is that okay?"

The previous question was naturally skipped over.

Sebastian said, "I'm fine with any."

In a few minutes, they were inside the supermarket.

Living in an old neighborhood was convenient with well-developed facilities. Despite the poor environment and lack of an elevator, everything else was great!

Camilla walked in front, and Sebastian followed with the shopping cart. They always kept a half-step distance between them, looking no different from other couples shopping together.

When they reached the seafood section, it was the season for crabs.

Camilla didn't like grilled crabs or garlic crabs, finding them troublesome to eat, but she loved crab rolls.

"Today's crabs are very fresh. Want some?"

Camilla nodded. "Give me a bag."

"Ok."

When Camilla bent down to pick crabs, her hair slid to both sides, almost dipping into the water. She quickly stood up, wanting to tie her hair with a rubber band, but realized she had forgotten to bring one.

She quickly stood up to tie her hair but realized she had forgotten a rubber band. Sighing, she remembered the gray hair clip in her bag—the one she bought at a stall yesterday—and took it out.

She casually twisted her hair up and clipped it. Though it was loose and not stylish, at least her hair wasn't falling down.

Camilla happily picked up the bag, put it on her hand, and bent down to continue picking crabs. But her hair loosened and fell.

Sebastian sighed, took the clip from her hair, and said, "Stand up straight."

"Okay." Camilla obeyed instinctively.

He skillfully twisted her hair up and clipped it in place. In less than thirty seconds, her hair was neatly secured.

"Have you done this before?" she asked softly.

Sebastian replied, "Not really. This is the second time."

Camilla fell silent, feeling a bit defeated.

Soon, after the crabs were picked and weighed, Camilla bought some breadcrumbs and handed them to Sebastian, who took them with ease.

After weighing, they went to buy vegetables, meat, and eggs.

Passing by the household section, Sebastian stopped. "Do you need anything?"

Camilla remembered they were running out of body wash and laundry detergent at home, so she said, "Yes."

While she was picking body wash, Sebastian was filling the cart with various items like towels, slippers, and hooks. She glanced over and saw the nearly full cart piled even higher.

At checkout, Sebastian said he would pay, and Camilla just asked him to keep the receipt for later calculation.

Sebastian nodded and motioned for her to wait outside the checkout area. "It's too crowded here."

"Okay." Camilla went out through the non-shopping lane.

Soon, Sebastian finished paying and came out with three large bags.

Camilla reached out to help, but he dodged. "No need."

"But there are so many items."

The bags were neatly organized: one held meat and vegetables, while the other two contained various household items.

"Are you sure you don't need my help?" Camilla asked again.

"No need."

It turned out that men's physical strength was indeed much better than women's. Sebastian carried the bags up seven flights of stairs without even panting.

Camilla took her two bags and placed them by the door, then asked Sebastian for the receipt.

Sebastian coughed lightly. "It's not much; no need to pay me back."

"How can that be? Is the receipt in the bag? It doesn't seem to be in mine; let me check yours."

Sebastian quickly dodged, not letting Camilla see his bag.

Camilla was puzzled.

"It's not in there. I'll calculate it later and send you the exact amount, then you can transfer it to me."

"That works too." Camilla nodded. But she was puzzled—what was in the bag that he was so afraid of her seeing?

The thought flashed by, and Camilla didn't dwell on it.

Feeling hungry, she took her bags inside and quickly made a bowl of instant noodles with a fried egg, ham, and greens. It looked good, tasted great, and she felt instantly full.

She rested on the sofa for about ten minutes, then rolled up her sleeves and went into the kitchen. Two hours later, fresh crab rolls were ready. Camilla counted; there were over thirty, enough to last a while.

On the other side, Sebastian walked in, let out a deep breath, and looked at the shopping bag in his hand, feeling like a thief.

With a wry smile, he shook his head and took out the towel, slippers, and hooks. However, the main reason he went to the supermarket was to buy underwear. This was why he didn't want Camilla to touch the bag.

Whether it was shyness or embarrassment, when he saw Camilla reaching for the bag, he froze. Luckily, he reacted quickly.

Sebastian sat on the sofa, picked up his phone, and texted Camilla: [The receipt amount is $242, mine is $163, you owe me $179.]

Camilla was on her phone and replied instantly: [That little? I remember you didn't buy much. Towels, slippers, underwear, hooks, dish soap, that's it, right?]

Sebastian froze again.
