Chapter 233 Applying Medicine to Get Close to Her

Sebastian said, "Not yet."

"Oh, I get it! Still chasing, right?"

Sebastian didn't say anything.

A few guys thought he had tacitly agreed.

"How long have you known each other?"

Sebastian pondered for a moment. "More than a year."

"So long and you still haven't won her over? What's wrong with you? All that height and good looks for nothing!"

Sebastian remained silent.

"Listen, let me teach you a trick that 99% of women can't resist..."

Sebastian didn't seem to care much, but as the other person got to the point, he subconsciously perked up his ears.

On the way back, Camilla said, "That shot was amazing, and that move..."

She gestured as she walked, talking animatedly.

Sebastian walked beside her, occasionally responding, with a constant smile on his face.

Passing by a pharmacy, Sebastian suddenly stopped. "Wait for me a moment."

He went inside and came out with a tube of ointment.

Sebastian pointed to her forehead. "I noticed it's still a bit red. It might bruise tomorrow. Applying some ointment will help it heal faster."

Camilla didn't expect he went into the pharmacy to buy medicine for her.

"It's just a small injury, it'll be fine by tomorrow. No need to go through the trouble," she said, waving her hand.

Sebastian insisted. "A bruise on the face doesn't look good. Don't you girls all love to look pretty?"

"You girls?" Camilla raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, Juniper is the same way."

"Well, thank you." She reached out to take the ointment.

But Sebastian didn't seem to have any intention of handing it over. Instead, he took out a pack of medical cotton swabs.

He said, "Let me help you."

For this, he even washed his hands and used sanitizer in the pharmacy before coming out.

Camilla's mouth opened slightly, seemingly a bit surprised.

Sebastian had already dipped a cotton swab in the ointment and gently brushed aside the hair on her forehead, revealing the red area.

As his fingertips touched her skin, Camilla distinctly felt a warmth different from her own body temperature.

The warmth disappeared as the cool cotton swab touched her skin.

"Hey?" Camilla sniffed lightly, her nose twitching like a puppy's. "This ointment smells pretty good."

It wasn't irritating at all.

It had a rich floral scent.

Sebastian hummed in agreement. He had asked the store clerk earlier, and they said this was the best one.

Especially for girls, they really liked it.

"All done." After applying the ointment, Sebastian stepped back, threw away the cotton swab, and took a step back.

Camilla felt her forehead cool and comfortable, much better than before. "Thank you."

They went upstairs together, and at the door, they parted ways.

Somehow Sebastian didn't give the remaining ointment and cotton swabs to Camilla but took them home himself.

Camilla didn't mind. She figured the small injury would be fine after a night's sleep. Even if Sebastian had given her the ointment, she might not remember to use it.

That night, after taking a shower, Sebastian lay in bed.

The advice from his teammate echoed in his ears.

"First of all, as men, if we like someone, we should take the initiative. Don't foolishly wait for the girl to express her feelings first."

"Next, create opportunities for contact. Only with more contact can feelings develop. And let me tell you, ambiguity often arises in unintentional interactions. If you rarely interact, how can you move to the next step?"

"Then, the most important part! When you're together, create opportunities for physical contact, intentionally or unintentionally. Like accidentally kissing, falling, and landing on her lips, or finding a romantic place and, when the moment is right, pulling her into your arms and kissing her passionately!"

"Finally, use your attentiveness, gentleness, and thoughtfulness to win her heart. Like showing concern, sending goodnight messages, buying gifts on holidays, having meals together, and being there when she needs you!"

"Only then will she feel you're reliable and throw herself into your arms without any worries! Got it?"

Sebastian thought it made a lot of sense.

Except for one thing, he didn't quite agree with.

Falling and kissing or pulling someone into his arms and kissing them.

The former was too fake and dangerous.

The latter was outright harassment.

He didn't think this was an expression of love; on the contrary, it was disrespectful to women.

However, in his dream, he did all the disrespectful things.

He even inexplicably asked, "Camilla, does it feel good?"

Sebastian woke up with a start, sitting up in bed, holding his head in frustration like a child who had done something wrong.

After a long time, he finally calmed down, got out of bed, went to the closet, and pulled out a clean pair of boxers to change into.

He thought he was fine already, but it happened again.

The next morning, Hector arrived at the lab early.

He had left before the data was finished yesterday, so he came early today to make up for it.

If Sebastian found out, he would nag endlessly.

So, he set three alarms, got up before dawn, and drove straight to the lab.

But then.

"Oh my God! When did you get here? Isn't today Sunday? We agreed to take two days off this week, so why are you here!"

Hector's reaction was overly excited.

It was obvious that he felt guilty.

Sebastian stood at the lab bench, looking up coldly. "So, you didn't finish the data yesterday?"

Hector was shocked.

He thought, 'Crap!'

"No, why are you here on your day off? Sebastian, sometimes I really think you're too diligent!"

Sebastian responded indifferently. "I already finished two sets of data for you. It seems like you don't need them?"

Hector paused, then immediately switched to a smiling face. "I was just kidding! Diligence is good!"

Sebastian remained silent.

At noon, Hector was exhausted and planned to take a nap in the break room.

Passing by Sebastian's room, the door wasn't fully closed, and Hector heard him on the phone.

"Yes, make the BBQ pork ribs sweet, two servings... deliver them to the lab before 6 PM... okay..."

"Hey, who's bringing you food? Your girlfriend?" Hector immediately got curious.

Sebastian lay down, showing him the back of his head.

Hector touched his nose and walked away.

On the other end, Paloma had just hung up her son's call and excitedly rushed to the living room, snatching the tea Cedric was about to drink, then grabbed his shoulders and shook him wildly. "Two servings! Two servings again!"

Cedric was puzzled.

Paloma asked, "Do you know what your son said on the phone? He said to make the BBQ pork ribs sweet! Sweet! Why do you think that is?"

"Stop shaking me, I'm getting dizzy."

"It must be because his girlfriend likes it! I'm cooking it myself! And delivering it myself!"

She stormed into the kitchen, knocking something over with her clothes as she turned. She didn't even look back.

Cedric called out, "My tea!"

Sebastian took the food Paloma made from the lab back to his place, then grabbed the ointment and cotton swabs and went to knock on the door next door.

But he got no response for a long time.
