Chapter 196 Fortunately, She Came Back
That day, Camilla got up early, first went to the administration office to check in, and then went to the college to complete the enrollment procedures.
The opening ceremony was scheduled for the next day.
Since Camilla was not staying in the dormitory, she saved the step of moving into the dorm, so she had nothing to do in the afternoon.
She decided to go to the School of Information to find Felix.
"Camilla? What are you doing here?" Felix's eyes lit up.
"Just came to see you. Otherwise, someone might complain that I don't visit him, then throw a little tantrum and deliberately test me with questions that are actually for the final exam."
Felix coughed lightly to cover his guilt, "I was just making full use of every question!"
They chatted for a while, and midway, Camilla received a call from Aurora asking her to come to the office, so she said goodbye and left.
"Aurora called you?"
"Yeah."
Felix snorted lightly, "I knew it was her, afraid someone might steal you away."
Keeping a close watch.
When Camilla arrived at Aurora's office, she heard other voices before she even entered.
She paused and raised her hand to knock on the door.
"Camilla? Come in." Aurora smiled and waved at her, "Perfect timing, you three can get to know each other."
Aurora had accepted three graduate students this year, Camilla being one of them, and the other two were a man and a woman.
The man was named Royce Castillo, a local from Imperial City, 22 years old, a fresh graduate who went straight to graduate school.
He was tall, handsome, a bona fide heartthrob.
But his expression looked a bit cold, giving off an unapproachable vibe.
Sitting opposite him was Hestia Sharp, whose demeanor was completely opposite. She had a round face, rosy cheeks, and when she met Camilla's gaze, she immediately grinned, revealing two adorable dimples.
She was a bit chubby, but really cute!
"Got to know each other? I hope you have a pleasant cooperation for the next three years. If not, it might be a bit difficult because there won't be anyone else to choose from."
Camilla's heart stirred.
Aurora sighed, "I'm getting old, my health is deteriorating, and I've applied to the college to stop accepting graduate students."
In other words, the three of them would be Aurora's last students.
Over the years, if it weren't for waiting for Camilla, Aurora would have applied to stop accepting students long ago.
One's energy was limited, especially for someone like Aurora, who was getting older and not in good health but still had academic pursuits.
Taking on students would only distract her, making it hard to focus on her research.
But she persisted for Camilla until now.
Meeting Aurora's kind gaze, Camilla's lips pressed lightly.
She had come back too late.
Fortunately, she came back now.
Midway, Aurora received a call and left the office.
Leaving the three who had just met in the same space, the atmosphere was a bit awkward.
At this moment, a rustling sound was heard, and then a box of cookies was handed to Camilla.
Hestia said, "Chocolate flavor, I've tried it, not too sweet. Want some?"
Camilla took a cookie, "Thank you."
"How is it? Tasty?" Hestia looked at Camilla with anticipation, like a child seeking praise.
Camilla replied, "Delicious, not too sweet."
"I've tried many brands, and this one has the best chocolate cookies!"
After thinking for a moment, Hestia looked at Royce. "Do you want one?"
Royce said, "No, thanks. Too many calories, easy to gain weight."
In fact, Royce meant no offense, he was just working out recently and needed to control his diet.
However, Hestia was shocked!
She thought, 'What did Royce mean? Is he subtly mocking me for being fat? Can we still get along?'
Camilla spoke up in time, "Hestia, can I have another one?"
Hestia immediately sat over, like a wronged puppy, "Love you, Camilla."
Soon, the box of cookies was empty. Camilla ate three, and the rest were all finished by Hestia alone.
Camilla thought, 'So, Hestia's good health has a reason. She can eat. Laugh and grow fat.'
At this moment, Aurora returned, bringing with her the campus cards and student IDs for the three.
"It's five-thirty, let's go to the cafeteria for dinner?"
The three naturally had no objections.
The fifth floor of the cafeteria had private rooms with large round tables that could seat about ten people.
Considering Hestia's love for sweets, Camilla specifically ordered some sweet dishes.
Hestia's eyes were filled with affection for her again.
Royce didn't like to talk and didn't express any particular preferences or dislikes, so Camilla didn't bother with him.
Taking Aurora's taste into account, Camilla also chose two dishes she liked and could eat.
Camilla thought of everyone.
After eating, Aurora swiped her card to pay. "This meal is on me."
None of the three argued.
As they were leaving, they happened to run into another group coming out of the opposite private room.
Calliope was surrounded by five students, like stars around the moon, and her laughter could be heard from afar.
The moment she saw Aurora, Calliope's smile faded, but then she quickly raised her lips again and walked over with her group of students.
"Aurora, bringing your students for a meal?"
Aurora's expression was indifferent, "Yes."
"I heard you applied to the college to stop accepting students?"
It was true, so Aurora had nothing to deny.
"Well, that's a pity. You have to keep accepting students to continuously produce outcomes. Look at you, only three students this year." As Calliope spoke, her gaze swept over Camilla, Hestia, and Royce, and she continued, "And now you're not accepting anymore, it's not just a gap."
At this point, Calliope's eyes twinkled, as if deliberately showing off, "Let me introduce, these five are my new graduate students this year, Bronte Ross, Irvin Hays, Noe Lester, Clara Wipere, and Azalea Gray. From now on, we're all in the same college and the same major. Whether in the teaching building or the lab, we'll see each other often, so it's good to get familiar early."
Hestia gasped softly.
Only Camilla, who was closest to her, heard it and asked, "What's wrong?"
