Chapter 202 How Can There Be So Many Coincidences

Noe panicked. "What are you doing?! Do you believe I'll sue you for violating my image rights?"

Hestia retorted, "This is a public place, reasonable evidence collection, sue me all you want, I'm just a concerned citizen, thank you."

"You guys!"

Noe was furious.

Bronte saw that Hestia was really taking pictures with her phone and couldn't help but frown. "Noe, are you out of your mind?"

Noe was puzzled.

"If you don't know, don't talk nonsense. We clearly agreed to split the bill ourselves, what reimbursement are you talking about! Alright, stop blocking the door, hurry up and eat, and let's get back to school after we're done!"

Noe was a bit unwilling, glaring fiercely at Camilla and the others before walking away.

Irvin, however, didn't move. He thought, 'Splitting the bill...'

Then he said, "Sorry, I just remembered I have something to do, I'll head back first, you guys take your time!"

With that, he left quickly.

Noe said, "He's definitely afraid of spending money!"

Bronte said, "Ignore him."

Camilla and her group left the restaurant, and the car they had called just arrived.

Hestia and Royce got in first.

Camilla was about to sit in the front passenger seat when she glimpsed a figure and paused.

After thinking for a moment, she walked over, "Irvin?"

A tall figure emerged from the shadows around the corner. He scratched his head and then smiled awkwardly, "Yeah."

"If you're heading back to school, we called a car, you can come with us."

"Really? Can I?" Irvin was a bit surprised but mostly anxious.

The school was quite far from here, and it had cost over twenty dollars to get here in the car Noe had called earlier.

Irvin had planned to take the bus back, but at this hour, the bus had already stopped running.

He had posted a carpool request on a ride-sharing app, which would only cost five dollars to get back to school, but he couldn't find anyone to share the ride with. Just as he was debating whether to cancel the request, Camilla appeared.

"Sure. It's on the way."

"Thank you so much!"

Irvin, being tall with long arms and legs, was given the front passenger seat by Camilla.

The back seat already had Hestia, and it would be too cramped with him there.

The driver was surprised. "You're quite burly, the car feels smaller with you in it."

Irvin didn't know how to respond, so he scratched his head and flashed a big white smile.

Fifteen minutes later, the car stopped at the school gate.

Irvin got out and saw that the three of them hadn't moved, looking puzzled. "We're here, aren't you getting out?"

Camilla replied, "We don't live on campus."

"Oh? I see." He scratched his head, "Thanks for today."

Then he quickly pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to Camilla through the car window before running off.

Camilla was stunned for a moment and picked up what he had handed over.

It was twenty dollars.

Royce glanced at it. "He's not bad."

The total fare was twenty-five dollars, split among four people, it would only be six dollars each.

Because they weren't going the same way, Irvin paid twenty dollars himself.

Hestia sighed. "He just followed the wrong teacher, why did he choose Calliope?"

Royce explained, "He and Ignatius are from the same hometown and know each other, who else would he choose but Calliope?"

" How do you know?"

"On the day of the opening ceremony, Ignatius came to find him."

"That's new! Alright then."

The car stopped at the alley, and Camilla got out.

Royce and Hestia had already gotten out ahead.

Camilla walked towards the apartment building.

There were few stars, sparsely scattered in the night sky.

The wind carried the summer heat, not at all cool.

Suddenly, she stopped in her tracks.

She saw Marcus leaning against a tree with his hands in his pockets. When he saw her, he instinctively stood up straight.

Then, he smiled. "What? Surprised to see me?"

Marcus walked up to her.

Camilla was stunned for two seconds. "A little."

"Are you adjusting to the school life?"

"Yeah."

"Are your classes full?"

That question hit Camilla's sore spot. Full? More like overloaded!

Marcus shrugged. "From the look on your face, I already know the answer."

"Is it that obvious?" She touched her face.

"No."

"Then how did you know?"

Marcus said, "I have good eyesight."

Camilla's mouth twitched.

"It's too hot outside, and I know you definitely won't invite me up, so how about we find a cool place to sit?"

He was quite self-aware.

"I bet you're thinking right now, well, this guy is pretty considerate and self-aware."

Camilla was surprised.

"Great, I guessed right again, didn't I?"

They went to the coffee shop they had been to before.

It was just across the street, had air conditioning, and was very cool.

But Marcus, in his business suit, drew a lot of attention.

Camilla said, "What do you want to drink? It's on me."

"Caramel macchiato, extra sugar."

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Marcus touched his chin.

Camilla was silent for a moment, then went to the counter to order. "Two caramel macchiatos, extra sugar."

As soon as she finished speaking, Marcus chuckled softly. "So you like it too, does that mean we have a connection?"

Camilla said, "Just a coincidence."

Marcus smirked.

How could there be so many coincidences in the world?

He might not know everything about Camilla's likes and dislikes, but he definitely knew more than Leopold.

Soon, the coffee was ready.

They sat down and chatted while drinking.

Camilla asked, "So, what do you want to talk about?"

"Can't I just want to see you?" He raised an eyebrow.

Camilla was silent for a moment. "I don't think you would."

If Marcus just wanted to chat, he wouldn't suggest finding a cool place.

And he definitely wouldn't show up at her apartment late at night.

Camilla said, "Even if you really wanted to see me, you would find a suitable reason, not just show up unannounced."

"So, who showed up unannounced?" Marcus's eyes flashed sharply.

Camilla didn't respond. Was that the point?

"Has Leopold been looking for you lately?"

Camilla didn't want to answer.

But Marcus didn't want to drop the topic, smiling. "Let me guess, first, he definitely came. And it wasn't at night. I also guess he brought flowers."

Marcus continued, "And he definitely didn't show up at your apartment, since it wasn't at night, it must have been during the day, and you're mostly at school during the day. So he went to your school?"

He guessed it all right!

Camilla couldn't help but laugh. "You're so good at guessing, why don't you become a fortune teller?"

"I'm not interested in other people's fates."

She casually replied, "Then what are you interested in?"
