Chapter 211 A Woman I Like

Hector "I feel like you've been in a bad mood lately. What's going on?"

Sebastian. "You're mistaken."

With that, he walked towards the lounge.

He brought a bag of clothes to change into and needed to put them in the locker.

The locker was in the inner room. As soon as he pushed the door open, he saw the folding bed Camilla had used still in its original place.

He remembered the time he came to change clothes and happened to catch her napping. Sebastian still recalled the feeling of his heart racing and breath catching.

It was like a dream...

He snapped back to reality, feeling a surge of frustration and shame.

He felt ashamed.

"Sebastian, I ordered some snacks. Want some?" Hector's voice came from outside.

"No."

"There are chicken wings. Are you sure you don't want any?"

"No, thanks."

"Speaking of chicken wings, I still think Camilla makes the best ones. By the way, has she started school? She hasn't been to the lab in a long time. Next time you see her, tell her to come by more often. We all miss her."

Sebastian came out of the lounge, his expression back to normal. "Tell her yourself."

He didn't want to think about Camilla, but she was everywhere.

Hector was puzzled. "You two are neighbors. Is it that hard to pass a message?"

Sebastian said, "Yes, it is."

Hector was stunned.

After a while, he said, "Sebastian, I really think something's wrong with you lately."

Sebastian was already at the lab bench, ignoring him.

Hector continued to mutter, "I even suspect you're heartbroken, always with that stern face."

Sebastian kept his head down, working, completely undisturbed.

Hector clicked his tongue. "See, there it is again."

The next evening, the blue sky was painted a golden orange.

When Camilla arrived at the restaurant, Marcus was already there.

She had just sat down for two minutes when the dishes started arriving.

The timing was perfect.

"Sorry to keep you waiting."

Marcus checked his watch. "You weren't late. Why apologize?"

They had agreed to meet at 6:30.

Camilla arrived at 6:20, not only on time but ten minutes early.

"When did you get here?"

Marcus replied, "Six o'clock."

"So early?"

"This restaurant's main feature is offering seasonal vegetables based on the time of year. Customers choose the cooking method, and there's no fixed menu, so it's best to arrive early to discuss."

Cooking fresh in the kitchen took time. If not arranged in advance, the wait could be long.

Looking at the dishes and soup in front of her, Camilla found them indeed fresh and delicious.

"Sorry, I should have arranged this since I invited you."

Marcus had chosen the place.

Camilla hadn't done her homework, thinking it was just a regular restaurant where she could just order and eat.

Marcus said, "That's okay. I like doing it for you."

Camilla didn't respond; there was no good way to reply to that.

Seemingly used to her avoidance and silence, Marcus's smile didn't waver. "The dishes are all here. Let's eat."

"I..."

"What is it?" Marcus looked at her, his gaze focused.

Camilla said, "I brought two friends. They're classmates from my project group. Is that okay?"

Marcus raised an eyebrow. "Of course. Where are they?"

"They should be here soon."

"Alright."

Just as he finished speaking, the two arrived.

Hestia walked in first, and as soon as she pushed the door open, she was face-to-face with a handsome guy, internally exclaiming.

Royce was a step behind and paused when he saw Marcus.

Then he couldn't help but take another look.

Noticing Royce's gaze, Marcus looked back without a change in expression, his eyes deepening.

"Please, have a seat."

"Thank you."

Hestia and Royce sat next to Camilla.

Marcus called a waiter, "Bring two more sets of utensils and have the kitchen prepare two more dishes."

"Sure, any specific requests?"

Marcus looked at the two.

Hestia said, "Meat, please."

Royce added, "No seafood."

"Got it." The waiter left, closing the door.

Now, only the four of them were left in the private room.

Marcus smiled at Camilla. "Aren't you going to introduce us, Camilla?"

Hestia blinked.

Royce's eyes also shifted.

Camilla's expression remained unchanged. "These are my classmates, Royce Castillo and Hestia Sharp."

Then she pointed to Marcus. "My friend, Marcus Davis."

"Camilla never invites me out, but this time is an exception. So, what problem are you facing?"

He said you instead of just Camilla.

One had to admit, his insight was sharp.

Hestia and Royce exchanged a glance but didn't speak.

Camilla spoke up, "I'll explain..."

"So, you want to use your own money to buy CPRT through TechNova Innovations?"

"Yes."

Marcus pondered for a moment, "Does the academy know about this?"

Camilla shook her head. "We haven't communicated with the academy yet."

After all, whether they could buy the equipment was still uncertain.

"You can use your own money, and TechNova Innovations can sell CPRT, but you must inform the academy. Otherwise, it could cause controversy."

Hestia was confused. "We're spending our own money. Why would anyone have a problem with that?"

"First, the equipment will still be placed in the academy's lab. Second, if you're spending your own money, are you just going to let the troublemakers off the hook?"

Hestia's eyes lit up. "Is there a way to teach them a lesson?"

Marcus replied, "Leave it to me."

Hestia exclaimed, "Mr. Davis, you're amazing!"

Marcus smiled at Camilla. "Do you agree, Camilla?"

Camilla felt he was doing this on purpose!

Definitely on purpose!

He had considered everything. What reason did she have to disagree?

But he still had to ask.

Marcus said, "If you don't say anything, I'll take it as a yes. As for the equipment price, how about a 50% discount?"

Hestia's eyes widened. "50%? Is that possible?"

That would save $630,000, enough to buy a house in a small town!

Camilla and Royce both frowned.

Camilla rejected the offer, "You're running a business too. We can't let you take a loss. We'll buy at market price."

Royce nodded. "That's right."

Marcus said, "50% is the internal discount. Don't think too highly of me; I never do business at a loss."

With the main issue settled, everyone started eating.

Hestia took a few bites and her eyes lit up. "This is delicious! How come I've never seen it on any delivery apps?"

"This restaurant doesn't offer delivery."

"So mysterious?"

Hearing this, Camilla couldn't help but look at him.

Marcus smiled slightly. "That's why it's called a private kitchen."

Everyone was very satisfied with the meal.

Especially Hestia, who ate the most and was the fullest.

Camilla left the private room to pay the bill.

But the waiter told her, "Mr. Davis has already paid."

At that moment, Marcus's voice came from behind.

"Didn't you say you were going to the restroom?"

Camilla turned around to see Marcus's amused eyes.

"Didn't we agree that it's on me?"

Marcus shrugged. "What can I say? I never let a woman pay, especially a woman I like."
