Chapter 191 Offering Yourself
Simon furrowed his brows; he wasn't interested today.
"No, just take her away."
The manager's smile didn't waver as he waved the woman off, and the two of them tactfully left.
After walking a short distance away, the woman asked, "Didn't you say that Mr. Miller usually has women accompany him when he stays over? Why not today..."
The manager said, "That's usually the case, but there are exceptions. Do you think every man who stays at a hotel is just looking for sex?"
"But I..."
She had waited a long time for this opportunity.
The manager sneered. "What you want doesn't matter; what matters is what Mr. Miller wants. Blame your bad luck. The man had his fill outside and doesn't want more. You should just save your energy."
The woman gritted her teeth.
Meanwhile, Juniper had just finished a nice bath and was drying her hair when there was a knock on the door.
She thought it was Simon and asked, "What do you want?"
However, a young man stood at the door, and their eyes met. He smiled awkwardly, "Sorry, I think I knocked on the wrong door."
"No problem," Juniper said as she started to close the door.
Suddenly, a hand stopped the door from closing.
Juniper raised an eyebrow and looked at the man, "Is there something else?"
"Do you really not recognize me?" The man suddenly asked, his eyes turning wistful and a bit aggrieved.
Juniper laughed and took a good look at him.
She didn't believe the excuse of knocking on the wrong door.
There were only two suites on the top floor.
She and Simon each occupied one.
He said he knocked on the wrong door, but was he really looking for Simon in the middle of the night dressed like that?
The man wore a white T-shirt, light green casual shorts, and sneakers, exuding a youthful and sunny vibe.
Every detail hit Juniper's aesthetic preferences perfectly.
"Who are you?"
"Alvin Jordan." The man didn't mind that she didn't know his name.
"What do you want from me?" Juniper crossed her arms, looking relaxed.
"Lyle really took you to the dinner, didn't he?"
"So what if he did?"
"If he did, then you should find somebody else."
Alvin and Lyle were from the same agency and debuted at the same time. Although they seemed to get along on the surface, they fiercely competed for resources.
Juniper's smile deepened, and she asked the question Alvin had been waiting for, "Who then?"
His eyes lit up, "How about me? I'm younger than Lyle, cleaner, and most importantly, I know the rules."
Juniper looked him up and down; he did seem more appealing than Lyle.
"So, are you offering yourself?"
Alvin's cheeks visibly reddened, "If you need me to."
"Come in."
Juniper turned and walked inside.
Alvin's heart pounded as he stepped in and gently closed the door.
Simon lay in bed playing with his phone, unable to sleep.
He was a bit hungry.
He decided to order some late-night snacks and thought about asking Juniper. So he knocked her door, "I'm ordering some snacks. Do you want anything?"
"No, I'm sleeping!"
"Alright." Simon turned away, but suddenly paused.
Why did she sound out of breath?
"Hey, are you okay?"
This time, there was no response from inside.
Simon snorted. Juniper was not only fierce and domineering but also rude!
Without someone to eat with, he lost his appetite and quickly fell asleep after returning to his room.
The moonlight was like water, and the night was long.
The next day, at nine in the morning, Simon woke up and went to find Juniper.
Just as he was about to knock, the door opened from the inside.
A young man stood at the door, his hair tousled, clearly just waking up and about to leave.
They locked eyes.
Simon was stunned.
In contrast, Alvin was much calmer. He nodded slightly and made a silent gesture, then pointed inside, "Keep it down; she's still sleeping."
With that, he left.
Simon stood in the hallway, dumbfounded for a long time before realizing, "Fuck!"
Juniper had sex with a man in his hotel, in the room across from his!
Simon stormed in, slamming the door in an attempt to make noise.
Unfortunately, the doors were soundproof, making little noise.
Simon angrily kicked over a chair, but it was futile because the floor was carpeted.
High-quality carpet, at that.
He yanked open the curtains, letting the sunlight flood in, finally waking Juniper.
"Alvin, what the hell are you doing!"
Juniper was furious, sitting up abruptly, but the sunlight made her squint. She could only vaguely see a man standing by the bed.
She thought it was Alvin and ordered, "Close the curtains!"
Juniper was great at everything except her morning temper.
Even Camilla didn't dare provoke her in the morning.
Simon sneered.
Seeing the hickeys on Juniper's neck and chest, he could tell they had sex both last night and this morning.
"Juniper! You had quite the fun, huh?"
His voice made Juniper freeze.
She blinked and finally saw that the man in front of her was Simon.
After a moment, she quickly grabbed the fallen blanket to cover her chest, "Why the fuck didn't you knock?"
"No need; someone opened the door." He looked for a place to sit but found all the chairs overturned.
He had to sit on the bed. "You really know how to have fun. Dump one guy and immediately get a new one!"
"Simon, did you take the wrong meds? Why are you here this early in the morning? Cut out your mocking and bitter tone, will you?"
"No!"
"Then get lost! Stop buzzing in my ear like a fly." Juniper pulled up the blanket and went back to sleep. "By the way, close the curtains."
And then, Juniper literally fell asleep.
When Juniper woke up again, the sunlight wasn't blinding, and there was no one making noise.
She sat up and stretched comfortably.
Youth was great, with endless energy.
Simon spoke, "Awake?"
Juniper froze, "Why are you still here?"
Simon was sitting on a chair, glaring at her.
Juniper casually grabbed a shawl to cover herself. She was only wearing a camisole, and the hickeys were still visible.
Simon was about to speak when she interrupted, "Wonderful, get me a glass of ice water, thanks."
"The fridge is inside." Seeing Simon's confused look, Juniper pointed, "What's wrong with you? Can't even find things in your own hotel?"
