Chapter 108 Counterattack Begins

Harper found it ridiculous. What did it have to do with him whether she ate or not? She wasn't refusing to eat. It was just that he made her lose her appetite.

"You." Before she could finish her sentence, her mouth was covered. Francis kissed her lips gently and carefully. Even so, it reminded Harper of what happened in the bathroom, making her feel disgusted. She immediately waved her hand, spilling the soup all over Francis.

The hot soup scalded Francis, and his expression turned gloomy after he let go of her. Just when Harper thought he was going to explode, he restrained himself and brought another box of soup, saying coldly, "Eat, or I'll feed you in the same way."

Harper couldn't understand what he was up to. His behavior seemed insane to her. But she decided to eat as long as he could leave. She lowered her head and ate soup. It was a painful experience. Her mouth was injured, and every touch was excruciating. If it weren't for Francis's presence, she would have cried from the pain. But now, she didn't want to shed tears in front of him. In the eyes of someone who doesn't love you, tears are only seen as a sign of weakness. There was no need to humiliate herself in front of him.

Francis went to the restroom to clean up and came out wearing a fresh set of clothes. She thought, ‘Is he planning to stay in the hospital for a long time?’

After finishing the meal, the caregiver came to clean up. Harper wanted to rest, but Francis suddenly reached out his hand toward her mouth. Without a second thought, she slapped his hand away. Francis's face darkened. Harper looked at him warily and said, "Mr. Getty, even a tool needs a break." If it weren't for her good physical condition, she would have collapsed from last night's ordeal.

Francis's expression changed, and he took out a tissue, offering it to her to wipe her mouth.

Harper, however, refused and took another tissue, wiping her mouth and throwing it away.

Francis's hand was still suspended in the air, his expression showing his growing impatience.

"Harper, you should know when to stop."

Harper suddenly laughed and said, "So, do you want to do it here and now? I can use everything except my mouth, which is still in pain."

"You!" Francis' face turned pale with anger. He finally threw down the tissue in his hand and left the ward.

At noon, Victor brought the meal. As he was leaving, Harper stopped him. "Did you personally deliver the genetic testing report to Francis?"

Victor was surprised by Harper's question, but he nodded, already anticipating the outcome. Francis’ reaction had already confirmed everything.

"Did you hand it to him directly?" Harper asked again.

Victor paused, recalling that he had delivered it to the office, but Francis was in a meeting, which lasted only about ten minutes. He told the truth.

Harper said, "So there was a ten-minute interval before he saw it. Victor, please go back and check if anyone entered the office."

It was clear that someone was setting a trap for her, and she couldn't think of anyone other than Chloe who had a reason to frame her. Francis was unpredictable, and she couldn't take the risk with her child. He would never be generous enough to let her give birth to a child that wasn't his. Even if they divorced, she wanted her baby to be free from any unfounded accusations.

In the afternoon, Wesley came to visit Harper. As soon as he entered, he asked with concern, "Harper, are you feeling better?"

Harper didn't dislike Wesley and nodded in response. Wesley was silent when he saw Harper had lost a lot of weight.

"When Francis is not in a good mental state, it's best not to confront him directly. Be smart and spare yourself." Harper didn't say anything, but when Wesley was about to leave, she asked in a hoarse voice, "Mr. Redstone, can I ask you for a favor?" She asked him to help her conduct a genetic test using her blood and Francis's hair. The hair was collected in the morning.

Wesley hadn't expected this turn of events between Harper and Francis, which explained why Francis was absent-minded when he mentioned the child. But it was also understandable that Francis didn't tell him.

No man would ever have the courage to admit to his best friend that his wife was pregnant with another’s child. However, since Harper could calmly ask for help, it meant that she was sure that the child was Francis's.

Wesley nodded and said, "Twenty-four hours. There will definitely be a result."

After Wesley left, Harper closed her eyes to rest, but she couldn't sleep at all. She kept recalling what Francis had said, that he wouldn't divorce her and that she was not comparable to Chloe. It was laughable that she had previously wanted to challenge her powerful opponent herself.

This powerful opponent, Chloe, was probably deeply rooted in Francis' heart, and it would be impossible to remove her unless Francis died. So she would no longer overestimate her abilities. She must divorce. Even if she had to beg Dylan in the end, she would try.

Molly woke up on the big bed in the hotel. The room was dark, as the curtains were tightly closed, making it hard for her to distinguish if it was daytime. The air was filled with the scent of passion. Molly felt her vision blurred. She wanted to get up, but her body was sore and painful.

Looking down, Molly found that she was naked, with almost no good skin left. Robert was really a beast, pinching and biting her all night. That was not human behavior at all! But now, she didn't know where he had gone. He might have already left. Molly got up and wanted to put on her clothes.

A loud bang sounded. The hotel door was kicked open. Molly didn't even have time to react. She was grabbed by the hair and thrown off the bed. The other person stepped on her back and viciously said, "Kill this adulterous woman!"
