Chapter 344 Is the Bed Comfortable?

In the private room, Kyle sat at the head of the table in a white shirt, looking sharp and a bit stern. When Molly walked in, his distant expression melted into a warm smile. "Molly," he greeted, taking her coat and hanging it up.

"How long have you been waiting?" Molly asked.

"Not long, I just got here too," Kyle replied.

They sat down, ordered food, and soon the dishes arrived. They chatted while eating. Molly enjoyed the seafood, savoring the texture even though she couldn't taste it. Kyle swapped her plate for some stomach-friendly veggies. "Molly, don't be picky. Eat these before more fish."

Since her stomach surgery, Kyle had been careful with her diet. If he restricted her too much, she'd lose her appetite. Molly obediently ate the bland vegetables.

Kyle smiled. "Molly, why not merge your company with my uncle's? His business isn't well-known in Northfield."

Molly shook her head. "Kyle, drop it."

She didn't want to rely on Kyle any more than she already had. He rarely disagreed with her, but his eyes dimmed. "Alright, but I'll have someone trustworthy help you with the benchmarking."

"Kyle, I really don't need..." Molly started.

"Molly, I insist," Kyle said, holding her hands. "I want this over as soon as possible."

Molly didn't pull away, feeling the warmth of his hands. She didn't want him involved in her mess. She finally pulled back, ignoring his disappointment. "Kyle, I want to handle this myself. I am grateful that you can help me with..."

Her throat tightened, unable to utter that name, and tears welled up. "I'm very grateful to you."

Kyle's lips moved slightly. "Molly, Taylor is doing well, better than you think. As long as we find a suitable match, he'll get healthy. Focus on what you need to do."

Molly broke down, covering her face. "Thank you, thank you."

She thought, 'Thank you, Kyle, for keeping Taylor from knowing he has a terrible mother who did awful things.' Taylor was too good, and she felt too tainted. After his birth, she had severe depression and had attempted suicide several times.

One night, Molly placed her hand on Taylor's fragile neck. The more she had hoped for this child, the more she hated him now. Why was he still alive? But when she really started to squeeze, Taylor suddenly cried out loudly.

Molly was jolted awake. When had she become so much like Robert?

Kyle stood up, placed his hands on Molly's shoulders, and gently stroked them until she calmed down. "Molly, you did nothing wrong. Don't blame yourself. I believe Taylor won't blame you either."

Kyle's eyes were clear and firm. "Don't doubt yourself. You didn't do anything wrong."

He then gently hugged her, his movements light and soft, as if afraid of breaking her.

After dinner, Kyle didn't let Molly drive. He settled her in the passenger seat and drove himself.

The car stopped at a grand hotel.

Molly asked, "Are you staying here?"

"Yes, the new house has been empty for a long time. I had it aired out, and it will be ready in a few days. I have the nanny staying here with Taylor."

When Taylor's name came to her ears, Molly's eyelashes trembled.

Kyle noticed it and asked, "Molly, do you want to see him? Taylor should be sleeping by now."

Downstairs at the hotel, Zack was waiting in the car. Soon, a black limo pulled up.

Zack quickly got out and approached.

The window rolled down, revealing Robert's pale, handsome face.

After the emergency at the hospital, he had a terrible fever that night, which almost damaged his lungs.

Robert's lungs had some pre-existing conditions, and this episode had him in the hospital for five days before he stabilized.

Even now, he hadn't fully recovered. The doctor had forbidden him from smoking, but he couldn't stop him from that.

Zack reported Molly's entire itinerary after leaving the restaurant.

Robert lifted his eyelids and glanced at the hotel's grand entrance. "Here?"

Zack nodded, dreading to say too much. Then, there was a moment of pregnant silence.

A man and a woman arrived in a hotel, where they unlikely went to work.

Robert suddenly extended his hand. Zack knew what he wanted and nervously handed over his phone, which had a video he had just recorded.

It was a video of Molly and Kyle marching in the hotel together.

As they went up the steps, Molly almost tripped, and Kyle caught her, and then held her hand until they went inside.

At this moment, every expression on Robert's face was tightly gripping Zack's fragile nerves as he was waiting for Robert's outburst.

But Robert watched the entire video without any expression. After a while, he suddenly smiled, inexplicabl. His pale, handsome face, combined with the smile, looked gloomy and sickly.

Zack was bewildered by this ominous smile.

Robert then took Zack's phone and skillfully dialed a number.

After a few rings, the call was answered.

"Hello, who is this?" Molly's voice came through the phone, soft and gentle.

Robert, with a calm expression, called her name. "Molly, is the bed comfortable?"
