Chapter 316 Agnes is Missing!

Harper suddenly felt dizzy and her legs gave out. "Zoey, what are you talking about?"

Zoey, almost in tears, said, "Ms. Murphy, I came to the kindergarten with the driver before school ended. The entrance was packed with people saying they were looking for the child of a bad woman. They were talking about you and showing some video on their phones. I didn't know what happened, but when I finally got in, Agnes's teacher said she was missing."

Harper felt like she'd been struck by lightning. Her face went pale, and she could barely stand. "Zoey, keep looking. I'm on my way."

Vincent heard everything and started the car immediately. "Don't worry. Agnes will be fine. We're on our way."

Behind them, Francis stood tall, having heard Harper's panic. Even from a distance, he could sense something was very wrong. What had happened?

Francis watched Vincent's car speed off, his face darkening. He got into his own car and ordered, "Follow them."

In the car, Victor checked his phone and reported, "Mr. Getty, there's a problem."

Seeing Victor's serious expression, Francis felt a bad premonition. "What is it?"

"A video from last night's meeting leaked. People are saying..." Victor hesitated.

Francis's face turned cold. "What are they saying?"

Victor wiped his sweat. "They're saying Ms. Murphy tried to drug and assault Mr. Hall from Starlight Entertainment for resources. They're calling her a... prostitute."

Francis's face changed dramatically.

Victor continued, "Public opinion exploded in just two hours, like someone is pushing it. Even Mrs. Hall has spoken out, accusing her of being a..."

Victor hesitated again, but finally forced himself to say, "A repeat offender!"

Victor didn't dare look at Francis and quickly spilled everything. "Mrs. Hall is a third-tier celebrity with a bunch of crazy fans. They've found out her address and which kindergarten her daughter attends. They're saying her daughter is an illegitimate child without a father. Some are even planning to go to the kindergarten and tell her daughter what kind of woman she is."

Victor finished, feeling like he was suffocating.

After a terrifying silence, Francis spoke in a chilling voice. "Suppress the news within half an hour!"

Victor was so scared he dropped his phone. "Mr. Getty, that's impossible."

Under Francis's terrifying gaze, he nervously explained, "The news is still hot and spreading fast. It's very difficult to handle in half an hour."

"Contact Mr. Dixon from CelestialGlow Entertainment and have him release an even bigger news to overshadow this. Get the entire Getty Group's network team on it. In half an hour, I want it gone," Francis ordered.

CelestialGlow Entertainment was the biggest entertainment company around, way bigger than Starlight Entertainment.

A story from CelestialGlow would definitely grab more attention.

But asking Kieran Dixon, the boss of CelestialGlow, to release a gossip was like asking him to jump off a cliff.

Victor reluctantly called Kieran. As soon as he mentioned the idea, Kieran roared, loud enough to hear without speakerphone, "Why doesn't your Mr. Getty just ask me to die? Tell him to come stab me himself!"

Kieran and Francis had known each other for years and often spoke bluntly.

Francis took the phone. "Kieran, the Getty Group will add five points to your talents' annual endorsement fee."

Five points meant hundreds of thousands of dollars more on top of the millions already in promotional fees.

Kieran's tone changed instantly. "Alright, Mr. Getty, top-tier news is coming right up."

Francis handed the phone back to Victor and coldly ordered, "After suppressing the news, find out who's behind this. Leave no one out."

In another car, Harper was too worried to check the news.

Her heart raced, filled with concern for Agnes.

Finally, they neared the kindergarten.

Vincent saw the crowd ahead. Security guards were blocking the entrance, but the crazy fans wouldn't leave, circling the gate.

Some held printed photos of Harper, others were live-streaming and shouting.

"The mistress's child doesn't deserve to go to school!"

"Look, this is Northfield's elite kindergarten, teaching mistresses' children how to become mistresses!"

"Do they teach the kids' moms not to seduce other people's husbands?"

Vincent frowned. "It's too dangerous. You stay in the car; I'll go find Agnes."

"No, I have to go in and find Agnes." Harper knew only she could calm Agnes down.

"Vincent, you wait here. I'll go in and find Agnes." Harper put on a mask and got out. Vincent couldn't stop her and followed. "I'll go with you."

Harper had already arranged to meet the teacher at the back door.

But as soon as they got there, some fans somehow found out and rushed over.

Seeing Harper, they got excited, "It's her! The mistress!"

Even with a mask, her eyes gave her away.

A few people rushed forward. Vincent quickly blocked them and turned to let Harper go inside.

Harper didn't hesitate and hurried to the door.

But a fan grabbed her hair. "Bitch! Where do you think you're going?"

Harper, worried about Agnes, was caught off guard. As she was pulled, her face was about to hit the iron gate's bars.

If she hit it, she'd be seriously hurt, maybe even disfigured!

Harper twisted the woman's arm, but another fan came to help.

The two of them were dragging Harper towards the bars.

With a loud scream, one woman was thrown aside, followed by the other.

Harper turned and saw Francis's stern face.

She opened her mouth but couldn't speak.

Francis pressed her shoulder, his face cold. "Don't panic. Go inside and find Agnes."
