Chapter 452 You Can't Beat Me
Robert's eyes went dark as he stared at Molly. Molly smirked, "Robert, you really think I'm dumb enough to just walk into a trap?"
She'd left the real documents at home. Her helper was gonna grab them and take 'em to the cops. She brought the fake encrypted files to get caught by Zack.
Zack ripped open the file on the table, finding it empty. Furious, he lunged at Molly, tied her hands behind her back, and slammed her to the ground.
"Bitch, you think you can trick me?" He pressed his knee hard into her back, rage boiling over.
Zack had been with Robert for years, surviving on smarts and brute force. The suits had hidden his true nature, but deep down, he was still a savage.
Zack pressed harder, choking Molly, and roared, "You got guts messing with Mr. Perot. I'll kill you right now."
Molly, gasping for air, refused to beg for mercy from a guy like him. Zack and Robert were two peas in a pod.
"Let go," Robert said coldly.
Zack, heartbroken, said, "Mr. Perot, this woman has hurt you over and over. Don't go easy on her; she won't on us."
Zack finally let out what he'd been holding back.
Robert had lived like a ghost for five years, using self-harm to atone for his sins. Zack thought Molly's return would make things better, but she came back for Robert's life, no mercy.
Zack hated her and really wanted to kill her. If Robert gave the word, he'd do it without a second thought.
Robert's voice was icy as he commanded, "I said, let go."
Zack had no choice but to release her.
Molly gasped for air, coughing like crazy. Robert walked over and slowly reached out to help her up.
Molly slapped his hands away, disgusted, "I don't need your fake concern."
But he grabbed her hands and pulled her into his arms. Molly's face changed. She struggled and snapped, "What are you doing? Let go of me."
Robert's expression was calm, like he had everything planned, including her scheme.
Just then, Kyle burst in. Seeing Molly caught by Robert, Kyle fought off the guards at the door and rushed in.
Seeing Molly struggling in Robert's arms, Kyle's anger surged, and he charged forward, only to be stopped by Zack. Having fought the guards, Kyle was easily restrained by the stronger Zack.
Kyle shouted, "Molly, don't be scared. The cops are here."
Seeing Zack twisting Kyle's arm, Molly glared at Robert and said, "Make him stop."
Her protective tone pissed Robert off. His eyes flashed with mad jealousy, his rage flaring up, and he held her tighter.
"Let go of me." Molly kept struggling.
Unbeknownst to her, Robert's rage was growing, and he eventually put on a twisted smile. He said to Kyle, "Watch whose woman this is."
With that, Robert grabbed Molly's neck, pinned her against the wall, and kissed her fiercely. The kiss was sudden, brutal, and invasive.
Molly felt like she was being bitten out of revenge. Her struggles were nothing against his strength.
Kyle, tangled up with Zack at the door, yelled, "Let her go, you psycho!"
Robert finally let her go after what felt like forever. Holding her face, his eyes red, he grinned, "Molly, you can't beat me. I'm never letting you go again."
His cold tone was like a curse, making Molly shiver.
Just then, the investigators showed up at the door, asking, "Is Robert Perot here?"
Robert let go of Molly, his face calm, and said, "Here."
The officers flashed their badges and said, "Mr. Perot, we got a report you're involved in financial fraud and illegal transactions. Please come with us to assist in the investigation."
"Alright," Robert said, staying cool as a cucumber. As he walked past Zack, he ordered, "Take care of her."
Zack wanted to strangle Molly right then and there. But he wouldn't go against Robert's orders, so he nodded. "Don't worry."
Robert turned to look at Molly, smiling gently. Molly didn't get his smile but felt a chill run down her spine.
Watching Robert's calm steps, she felt a growing unease.
In that split second, she saw the ruthless Robert back in the day, the one with no weaknesses.
That sight hit her like a ton of bricks, making it hard to stand.
Kyle immediately supported her, his face full of concern, and asked, "Molly, you okay?"
Molly, weak, clung tightly to Kyle's arm, feeling like everything was unreal.
Kyle said reassuringly, "Molly, don't worry. Let's go home."
Molly nodded, but as they were about to leave, Zack blocked their way. "Ms. Koch, not looking so good? Need a doctor?"
His tone was mocking, and Molly coldly replied, "No need."
Zack's tone grew more mocking as he said, "If you feel unwell, hit me up. Mr. Perot specifically told me to take good care of you."
"Move," Kyle said coldly.
In this world, Zack feared no one but Robert. Zack said, "Mr. Scott, be careful at night. Don't fall out of bed and hurt yourself."
It was a clear threat.
Kyle's eyes darkened as he said, "Seems Robert isn't good at keeping his people in line. You're welcome to come to the Scott family to learn some manners."
The Scott family had its own dark secrets, which Zack had heard of. Especially Rene, who was said to be more ruthless than Robert in her youth.
Now Kyle was clearly Rene's treasure, a bastard pushed into the spotlight. Zack had to think twice before messing with Kyle. This explained why Zack only blocked instead of openly attacking Kyle.
Robert hadn't given any order to destroy the Scott family, so Zack wouldn't make them enemies. He held back his hostility, mocking, "Indeed, the Scott family has a different vibe."
Kyle ignored him, supporting Molly as they left.
Zack couldn't help but taunt, "Mr. Scott, don't be thick. You think your little tricks will work?"
Molly, holding back for a long time, turned and said, "Even ants can move stuff hundreds of times their size. What makes you so sure the Perot Group will last forever?"
Zack's face was full of disdain as he said, "Ms. Koch, you underestimate Mr. Perot."
Molly laughed, "Zack, while you're chatting with me, do you even know what's happening outside?"
