Chapter 612 He Just Wanted Her to Admit Defeat

Molly didn't notice anyone watching her. She stomped her foot at Kyle and snapped, "Why don't you get your own?"

"Yours tastes better," Kyle said, popping another piece into his mouth.

Molly turned away, muttering, "I'm mad at you." But deep down, she knew Kyle was just looking out for her, and she was only teasing him.

Molly walked a few steps ahead. The night was dark, and she didn't see the figure dressed in black lurking in the shadows. She accidentally bumped into a broad chest.

"Sorry," she mumbled, but then she felt a jolt of surprise. Recognizing the familiar scent, much like Robert's, Molly looked up in panic and saw a cold, handsome face. A thunderclap went off in her mind, and she felt completely shattered.

"Long time no see." Robert's voice was unexpectedly calm. His face was hidden in the darkness, showing no emotion.

But Molly felt her scalp tingle, like a thousand ants crawling all over her, giving her goosebumps. In her mind, a voice kept urging her to run, but her legs wouldn't budge.

Robert scooped Molly up in a princess carry and took her to a nearby corner tower. Molly didn't struggling because if she made any noise, Kyle would be in danger. Robert had two burly men in black with him. She was determined not to let Kyle get hurt.

From the corner tower, they could see the entire street below. Molly saw Kyle anxiously searching for her. His worry and anxiety were written all over his face, but he didn't dare call out her name, fearing any mishap. He grabbed every passerby, describing her appearance to them. Molly had never seen Kyle so helpless. Tears streamed down her face, and her heart ached.

"Feeling heartbroken already?" Robert's cold voice whispered in her ear.

Molly turned to look at him. "You can't hurt him!"

Robert smirked. "Do you think you have the right to say that to me?"

Molly's complexion had improved, looking completely different from when she was with him. Back then, Molly's face was beautiful but always carried a look of deep resentment. She always treated Robert coldly, and her body was so thin it seemed like she could be blown away by a gust of wind.

But now, Molly's face was rosy, her lips were beautiful, and she had a vitality that showed she was loved. That kind of energy and vitality was like when she was in college, dating him. Robert could clearly see that she had truly fallen in love with someone else.

"Looks like you've been doing well while you were on the run," Robert said coldly.

Molly knew shouting or running was useless. Since Robert had found her, he wouldn't let her go.

Feeling hopeless, Molly said, "Robert, I don't want revenge anymore. Last time I tried to send you to jail, it didn't work, but let's call it even. Just let me go, and we can live our own lives."

"Even?" Robert chuckled, grabbing her chin roughly. "What about the time you stabbed me? How do you plan to make that even?"

Molly winced from the pain. "Robert, why can't you just let me go? You have a fiancée. What more do you want from me?"

"What do I want?" Robert's hand slipped inside her jacket, a sinister smile on his face. "There's a lot I can do."

"You bastard!" Molly was both ashamed and furious, pushing him away and cursing.

Robert's eyes turned icy, his grip tightening. "Still not used to it?"

Molly shook her head violently. "Robert, even if I die, I won't go with you. If you want to take me, you'll have to take a corpse."

Robert didn't seem angry; he just smiled slightly. "Don't speak too soon."

Molly's eyes widened. "What are you planning to do?"

Robert smirked, extending his long fingers. "Have you slept with him?"

Molly felt humiliated, but her hands and feet were restrained by his body, unable to move. She knew Robert wouldn't let them go no matter what.

Last time, Kyle was nearly killed; this time, he wouldn't leave them alive. Since that was the case, Molly decided to go all out. She knew Robert too well. The more she begged, the harsher his methods would be.

Molly looked at him, making herself cold to thwart his dark intentions. He just wanted to see her humiliated, to make her go crazy from the physical torment, so he could have more reasons to humiliate her. But she wouldn't give him that satisfaction.

Molly coldly said, "It's none of your business." To Robert, this was almost an admission that they had slept together.

Robert clenched his teeth, his eyes red. "Did you enjoy it when you had sex with him behind my back?"

Molly laughed. "Robert, I've decided to marry him. We're not having an affair; everything we do together is legal."

Robert was stunned by her words, seemingly too angry to know how to react. After a while, Robert shouted like a madman, "Molly, why are you so heartless? I treated you so well, compromised in every way, and this is how you repay me? You even want to marry Kyle!"

"Why wouldn't I?" Molly coldly mocked, "You treated me well? You mean forcing me to have sex regardless of my will, making him watch you do it, turning me from a normal person into a hidden mistress? Is that your idea of treating me well? Robert, I really can't handle 'your goodness'."

Robert didn't reflect on himself; instead, he felt extremely displeased. In his mind, Molly was his possession, not supposed to betray him, let alone escape.

He sneered, "If you had listened, I wouldn't have treated you that way. What else did you do besides being stubborn with me?"

Molly suddenly laughed, as if hearing a particularly funny joke. "Robert, am I your pet? Why should I listen to you? If you just want an obedient woman, it shouldn't be hard to find! You just couldn't conquer me. Once I complied, you'd think I was boring and bland. In the end, it's all my fault. Men like you love to make excuses and are truly shameless!" Molly ranted.

Robert's face grew increasingly grim. He sneered coldly, "I'm shameless, but Kyle isn't?"

"He respects me, protects me, treats me well, and never does anything to hurt me. He's the best person in the world. Between us, I'm the one who doesn't deserve him. He's so pure, and I'm so dirty," Molly said with a faint smile.

They had agreed to face difficulties together and overcome everything. Robert was a challenge they would have to face sooner or later, wasn't he? She said, "In my heart, Kyle is already my husband. If he dies, I'll die with him."

These words undoubtedly enraged Robert. He pressed Molly against the railing, their bodies close, and said, "You still want to die with him? What a dream!"

Molly laughed through her tears, ready to face death. Fortunately, she had left enough money for Taylor. Once she died, the lawyer would find Isadora, and she trusted Isadora to wait for a matching donor.

Molly had also left Isadora decades of salary and various insurances. She had prepared everything and had come to terms with it.

Kyle was too stubborn. Asking him to give up on her was impossible. Rather than letting him sacrifice his life for her, it was better to die together. On the street, Kyle was still tirelessly asking passersby.

Robert saw that Molly's eyes were lifeless and grew even more furious. He grabbed her neck and said, "Look up."

On the rooftop of the corner tower, a man in black was holding a large flowerpot, dark and heavy, as if it could fall at any moment.

Molly's face turned pale, her eyes wide. "Robert, you're insane."

"He dared to mess with my woman; I have to teach him a lesson, don't I?" Robert smirked coldly. "Where do you think this flowerpot should land?"

He leaned close to her ear and asked, "Head, neck, hand, or leg?" With each word, Robert's cold hand moved to those parts of her body, finally lifting Molly's leg and pressing hard against it.

Molly groaned in pain, her beautiful face pale under the moonlight. "You're insane, you'll die a horrible death!" Her eyes were full of hatred. If she had a knife, she would have killed him.

"Aren't you unafraid of death, wanting to die with him?" Robert lifted Molly's chin, making her look down. "Then call out. Look how anxious he is to find you."

Molly bit her lip hard, refusing to speak. Robert's voice was full of mockery. "Call him over. It's not the first time he's seen us have sex."

Molly's body felt numb, but tears streamed silently down her face. "I won't beg," Molly said firmly, "Robert, you can't break me. We won't beg you."

The rooftop setup wasn't a spur-of-the-moment idea. Molly knew Robert had planned to kill Kyle from the start and then torture her. Her surrender would only make him more triumphant. She wouldn't let him win.

"Kill us, you murderer, do it!" Molly suddenly screamed, making Robert laugh out loud.

He caressed her cheek, cold and gentle. "Molly, are you trying to provoke me? If I want to kill someone, it will look like an accident, just like this flowerpot."

"Molly!" Kyle saw both her and Robert. Kyle's eyes turned cold, and he rushed over.

Robert laughed. "Such a handsome face, it wouldn't look good smashed."

"No," Molly hadn't even called out. The sound of the flowerpot crashing down was heard. The tall figure running towards her collapsed softly.

Molly's vision blurred; she couldn't see or hear anything. "No!" she screamed, pushing Robert away with sudden strength. She grabbed the railing of the corner tower, trying to jump over.

Robert's eyes narrowed, and he grabbed her sleeve, pulling her back. He hadn't expected Molly to be serious about dying for Kyle.

In an instant, jealousy turned Robert's eyes blood-red. A sudden fear gripped his heart, realizing Molly really didn't belong to him anymore.

Robert pulled Molly back with force, holding her tightly, and roared, "Are you crazy?"

The three-story corner tower wasn't very high, but for someone like Molly, with a frail body and brittle bones, a fall could be fatal or crippling. She was really willing to jump down without hesitation. So, when she said she would die with Kyle, she meant it.

Molly was like a soulless puppet, her expression empty, her eyes full of despair. After all the entanglement with Robert, it was still all come to such a desperate end.

Robert was furious. "You're willing to die just for Kyle? Molly, are you crazy?" He just wanted her to give in, why was it so hard?

The flowerpot didn't hit Kyle's head, because Robert had aimed for his leg, just to teach him a lesson. As for passing out, it only showed Kyle was useless.

Although Robert really wanted to kill Kyle, deep down, he subconsciously didn't dare to go that far. It wasn't fear of killing. When he was struggling abroad, he killed who knew how many people.

Robert had never been afraid of that. But he was really afraid Molly would follow through on her words. Robert had gambled, but the result was that he lost completely.

"Robert, you're nothing compared to him." Molly's voice was cold and empty.

To her, Kyle was the pillar of her new life, a beacon in her darkness, a clear spring in a barren desert. With his kindness and persistence, he had slowly healed her broken, once hopeless self. Now, her only hope was taken away, like a disaster.

Molly's eyes lost all light. Darkness engulfed her, like a boat in a storm, sinking into the deep sea. The whole world was pitch black.
