Chapter 550 That Woman is Pregnant Again!

Audrey slumped against the wall, completely wiped out, and muttered, "Francis, you're a total maniac!"

"Audrey, this is the price you gotta pay," Francis taunted her without mercy.

Audrey felt like her whole world was crashing down; it was all over. But she didn't want to die. On second thought, with so many people going down with her, it wasn't that scary.

"Francis, you think you've won?" Audrey sneered, "Actually, you haven't. Your announcement also broke Harper's heart!"

Those words made Francis's calm face turn icy cold. Every line on his face showed a murderous chill as he said ruthlessly, "If you have time, think about what you're about to face!"

"I don't care anymore." Audrey's quick shift from trembling to calm was suspicious. "With you accompanying me, it doesn't seem so scary. Dying together doesn't sound so bad, right?"

A wave of disgust surged in Francis's heart, and he said coldly, "Audrey, who said I was going to let you die?"

Audrey looked up, a hint of confusion flashing across her face.

A syringe was thrown at Audrey's feet. Francis said, "You can give yourself a way out."

Audrey didn't understand, "Why do you..."

But the next second, Audrey, who had orchestrated so many murders, figured it out. "Francis, your intention isn't to let me die! You want me to kill Stanley and then live the rest of my life in fear, being hunted by the Charles family, right?"

A bloodthirsty glint flashed in Francis's eyes, "This will only allow you to survive a bit longer. How capable do you think you are to keep evading the Charles family's hunt?"

Just the thought of being hunted by the Charles family sent a chill down Audrey's spine.

The Charleses were ruthless. If they went all out, they would complete the task in the shortest time possible. And Audrey would not only spend her last days in extreme fear but also face torture if captured alive. The Charles family had many methods and would definitely torture her to the last second.

This kind of painful life made Audrey want to die just thinking about it. How could she face it?

"You're so cruel." Audrey felt like she was in an ice cellar, her face devoid of any color.

Francis said, "You've done so many evil things; this is what you deserve."

Audrey couldn't say a word, and her body started trembling uncontrollably at the thought of being hunted by the Charles family. Terror enveloped her like a giant net, and she was about to drown in this endless fear.

After a long silence, Audrey suddenly burst into a hysterical laugh. She said excitedly, "Do you know Harper is pregnant?"

Francis's face changed, "What did you say?"

Audrey, with a wild look in her eyes, didn't bother hiding her twisted grin. "I'm saying, your precious Harper is pregnant, and if I'm not wrong, it's your kid."

She let her words hang in the air, savoring the moment. Since Francis was hell-bent on killing her, she wasn't about to go down without a fight.

Francis's face went pale in an instant. He lunged forward, grabbed Audrey by the collar, and with bloodshot eyes, demanded, "What do you mean?"

Audrey just laughed maniacally, not saying a word. Francis, even more frantic, glared at her, "Speak, how do you know?"

But Audrey suddenly went silent, only letting out that eerie laugh. She laughed like she'd just heard the funniest joke. And in a way, she was happy. She knew Harper had been brought back by Keith. With Harper in the building, Audrey didn't feel so scared anymore.

Francis frowned, puzzled by how Audrey knew this. At this point, Audrey had no reason to lie. Based on his experience, she wasn't bluffing. But why would Harper, pregnant with his child, keep it from him again?

Francis thought about his plans to take out Audrey and Stanley. He could see why Harper stayed quiet. Even if he knew, what could Francis do? The outcome was already set. He could only try to eliminate any future threats for her.

But how did Audrey find out?

"Explain it to me!" Francis shook Audrey by the collar, his agitation growing.

"Francis, do you really think all those misfortunes were my doing?" Audrey replied, seemingly off-topic. "Haven't you thought that you're the real culprit? Who do you think brought all this disaster to Harper?"

"But she's lucky. I tried so many times, and she didn't die. In the end, I had to team up with Stanley. I didn't expect her to be so lucky that even Stanley failed." Audrey let out a bitter laugh, "But ultimately, the fate of your woman and your mother was all because of you. If you had never given me hope, I wouldn't have been so obsessed with you, and they could have been safe."

Audrey's expression turned more sinister as she continued, "The one who deserves to die the most is you. You're the root cause! Anyone close to you will suffer! I curse you to never find happiness in this life!"

"I'll kill you!" Finally, after her string of vicious curses, Francis coldly wrapped his hands around Audrey's neck. His grip tightened like a vice.

Just as Audrey's eyes rolled back and she was about to pass out, the pressure on her neck suddenly eased. Francis leaned in slightly, his cold breath brushing against her, making it unclear what he intended to do next.

He sneered, "You want me to do this to you so that when Stanley arrives, he wouldn't believe you are the love of my life, right?"

Audrey thought that Francis knew her too well, guessing her thoughts with pinpoint accuracy!

Francis reached out but didn't touch Audrey, pretending to caress her hair from a distance. "Audrey, you're dreaming. The harm done to my children, Harper, and my mother cannot be forgiven just like that."

Audrey felt more than just a chill; it was as if a poisonous scorpion was crawling all over her scalp, ready to sting at any moment.

"You..." Before Audrey could finish, the window shattered. Before she knew what was happening, three men in black burst in.

Loud clapping echoed. Leading the group was Stanley. He wore a fake smile, curling his lips, and said, "You two are really in love!"

Instantly, the entire space felt like it had transformed into a terrifying hell. Audrey's eyes widened, and fear crawled all over her body.

"No, it's not what you think..." Audrey's trembling voice betrayed her fear.

Facing someone as crazy as Stanley, no one would be unafraid.

Francis interrupted her, standing protectively in front of Audrey, and looked at Stanley warily, "Who are you?"

Francis played the role of a good husband to perfection, urgently saying, "Don't hurt her, come at me instead."

Two dull thuds sounded as the men in black each kicked Francis in the abdomen. Blood trickled from the corner of Francis's mouth, but he continued to gaze deeply at Audrey.

Audrey was so angry she almost bit through her lip. This was exactly what she would do to sow discord, and Francis was using it so skillfully.

Stanley sneered and asked Francis, "Do you remember killing a woman over a shipment twenty days ago?"

Francis pretended to think for a moment before saying, "Oh, that woman..."

He continued without much remorse, "I didn't mean to."

This was a tacit admission, and Francis's attitude deeply angered Stanley. The woman Stanley loved to his core was killed by Francis, yet Francis seemed indifferent. Unforgivable!

Audrey was terrified and shouted, "Don't talk nonsense, Francis, you didn't kill her!"

She had just realized that Francis was raised under Dylan's strict guidance. Dylan's teachings would never allow Francis to become someone who killed innocents for his own purposes. Even to harm Audrey, Francis wouldn't have killed Aria.

"Mr. Charles, believe me, I'm not lying." Audrey looked at Stanley, pleading, "Investigate the death of your wife; it's not that simple."

Francis didn't defend himself, letting Audrey scream like a madwoman. The more she did this, the more Stanley thought she was trying to exonerate herself.

Clearly, Audrey knew Stanley's methods, which was why she was so scared. After all, Audrey had collaborated with Arthur and Stanley several times before, so she should know quite a bit about Stanley.

The two men in black easily subdued Francis. Francis didn't resist because it wasn't the right time. Many pre-planned actions had to be changed because of what Audrey had just said.

Previously, Francis was fearless, but now, he suddenly didn't want to die so recklessly.

According to Wesley, he had two months left to live. If necessary, he could take Audrey's miraculous drug. Francis wanted to hold on until his child was born. After seeing the child, he could die without regrets.

But Francis wouldn't disturb Harper. He would hide in a nearby corner, silently watching her. Just like his initial thought, as long as she was okay, that was enough.

For this reason, Francis's desire to help the police capture Stanley grew even stronger. Only with Stanley gone could Harper and the child be truly safe.

Francis and the police had already planned for the capture, but Stanley wasn't a fool. Stanley's influence had infiltrated to the point where they couldn't detect it. He had planted explosives under the police's noses.

Moreover, from the moment Stanley and his men entered, the invisible earpiece Francis used to contact the police had been jammed, indicating they had brought interference devices.

Francis closely watched Stanley's every move. Given Stanley's personality, he wouldn't kill Audrey immediately but wouldn't waste time either.

Stanley approached Audrey, squatted slightly, took her hand, and politely kissed it. "Ms. Hernandez, I didn't expect our reunion to be under such circumstances."

Audrey said, "Listen to me, Stanley, don't act impulsively. I'm not the woman he loves; this is all a trick."

Stanley ignored Audrey's screams. He was an extremely arrogant person. Once he made up his mind, he wouldn't change it based on a few words from others. Moreover, he always adhered to the principle of preferring to kill wrongly than to let go.

So, in the next moment, Stanley's gentle expression instantly turned into a vicious one. He swiftly broke Audrey's five fingers. Audrey's scream almost shattered the windows and pierced the ceiling.

Stanley stretched out his hand, and a man handed him a hammer and two long nails. Francis's face turned pale, "What are you doing? Don't hurt her. I won't allow you to hurt her!"

This concerned shout only provoked Stanley to act more crazily. Stanley aimed the nail at Audrey's instep and then raised the hammer high!

Audrey's scream almost tore her throat apart; the pain was excruciating.
