Chapter 93 He Seems to Care About the Baby
Francis's hand, gripping the steering wheel, tightened abruptly. He asked with worry, "What happened?"
Xenia gasped while sobbing. "Miss Musk just got up and felt dizzy. She fell down the stairs when she was going down."
"Did you call an ambulance?"
"I did."
Chloe's shrill cry came from the phone.
"My head hurts so much, and my leg hurts too. Where's Francis? I want to see Francis."
That coquettish cry was obviously a one made on purpose.
Harper was almost physically nauseated by it.
Only a man like Francis couldn't notice it and even favored this little trick.
"Which hospital are you in?" Francis asked.
Hearing that, Harper felt she did not need to stay in the car.
Rather than waiting to be kicked out of the car, she thought she’d better leave of her own accord.
She opened the car door and walked straight ahead after getting out of the car.
Francis had smashed her phone, and she couldn't even buy a high-speed rail ticket now. She could only walk to the bus station and prepare to take a taxi to the high-speed rail station.
The eye-catching supercar behind her made an arrogant humming sound and drove forward.
Harper stood in place, pulling a self-deprecating smile.
Sure enough, she was left behind without any surprise.
Chloe was an insurmountable chasm that she could never cross.
Fortunately, she would no longer feel angry and sad after being left behind, as it had happened so many times.
And it wouldn't hurt her.
After a while, a taxi stopped.
Harper reached out to pull the car door to get in.
Behind her, there suddenly came a harsh horn sound, and it continued.
Harper turned her head and found that Francis’ supercar returned.
Through the windshield, Francis's handsome face was clearly visible.
Francis rolled down the car window and clearly spit out the words, "You come over."
Someone behind her urged, "Miss, are you getting in this taxi? If you're not, I will."
Harper came back to her senses and hurriedly let go.
When the taxi left, Francis’ car stopped in front of her again.
Harper, afraid of attracting too much attention from the others, had to get in the car.
After sitting down, Francis leaned over and asked, "Why are you running?"
Harper subconsciously shrank back, her fingers gripping the edge of the seat. She stared at him.
Francis helped her fasten her seat belt.
But after fastening it, he still maintained that posture, looking at her with deep eyes. "Why are you so afraid of me? Am I a flood beast?"
He didn't touch her at all. But she shrank back after he approached her just now.
Harper didn't dare to breathe. She turned her face and said, "I didn't."
Francis didn't want to be delayed, so he reluctantly sat back in his seat.
Harper was a bit doubtful. "Aren't you going to see Chloe?"
Francis glanced at her and said, "Your ears are quite sharp. But did I say I was going?"
Harper thought, ‘You turned on the speaker just now. I’m not deaf.’
"I sent someone else to check her situation," Francis explained.
Harper didn't speak. She didn't want to trouble him at all.
"You don't have to send me anything special. I can go by myself."
Francis frowned. "You have to take the high-speed rail, don’t you? You're pregnant now. What if you get bumped?"
Harper was speechless for a moment, and for a moment, she felt like he seemed to care about the baby a lot.
But would he really care about the baby?
Harper thought he didn't like the baby she was pregnant with at all.
The car was quiet for a second, and Francis suddenly spoke, "I promised to go with you, and I won't break my promise."
Harper was stunned when she heard that. If his guarantee had been made before, she might have believed it, but now his guarantee has no credibility.
She didn't speak anymore, just leaning against the back of the chair and gently closing her eyes.
Francis glanced at her, reached out, and set the driving program to comfort mode.
The car moved smoothly.
In the hospital, Chloe was lying on the hospital bed, happily drinking the nourishing soup.
In order to be realistic, she made some abrasions on her hands and knees, and they caused her great pain.
But she thought it was worth it when she thought that she could anger Harper.
She got the news early in the morning, saying that Francis was going to accompany Harper to the cemetery of Harper’s Grandma.
Chloe would allow that to happen.
At this time, Xenia, who was guarding the door, said, "Miss Musk, he is here."
Chloe immediately put down the bowl in her hand, lay down, and pretended to be sick.
When Francis's assistant came in, Xenia looked behind him and asked doubtfully, "Sunny, where's Mr. Getty?"
Sunny coughed and said, "Mr. Getty is busy and sent me over."
When she heard that, Chloe was lying down, but she sat up abruptly and said sharply, "What did you say?"
Sunny repeated it again and then added, "But Mr. Getty asked me to invite the best doctor for you."
Chloe was shocked and disappointed.
She couldn't believe her ears. She fell down the stairs, but Francis just sent an assistant to deal with it.
She picked up the bowl on the bedside and smashed it at Sunny, cursing loudly, "You useless thing! Why didn't you bring Francis!"
Sunny dodged and lowered his head. "It is Mr. Getty's decision. How can I disobey?"
Xenia came up to make peace. "Sunny, don't take it to heart. She's just confused!"
"Xenia, why are you explaining to him? He's useless. He can't handle a little thing."
Sunny was angry and said, "Yes, you are right. Ms. Musk, you’d better find others to help you."
“You!" Chloe was choked with anger.
She had also talked about it with Victor but was rejected.
She couldn’t change Victor’s mind at all.
Chloe changed her tone. "Forget it. Xenia, you go out first."
Xenia went out to guard the door again.
Chloe hooked her finger and gestured for Sunny to come over. "Come over."
Sunny stood still, and his heart was gripped by deep regret.
He just had a few drinks at the bar last time, and when he woke up, he found he was on the same bed with Chloe.
Later, Chloe began asking him to probe Francis' itineraries. She threatened Sunny that she had the evidence that recorded what they did that night, and if he didn't obey, she would sue him for rape.
Sunny was angry. He disagreed with Chloe’s words. When they had sex before, Chloe would always have a lot of requirements. She didn’t allow him to stop until she was satisfied.
To Sunny, having sex with Chloe was tiring.
He’d rather to do that with a prostitute.
Chloe saw the hesitation in Sunny’s eyes. She reminded him, "Sunny, you are quite high in Getty Group now. You don't want to give up all this, do you?"
This is Sunny's weakness. He knew well that he wouldn’t get such a job in any other small companies.
He didn't want to lose what he had now.
He stepped forward, sat on the bed, and knelt in front of Chloe.
Chloe gasped. "That's right. You're getting more and more skilled."
Sunny raised his head and sneered, "You should take the credit."
Sunny thought, ‘She must have done it many times with other men. She knows a lot of skills that can add more pleasure to sex.’
Chloe quite enjoyed it.
But many times, she would imagine these men as Francis.
Thinking of that overly sexy, handsome face, it seems that the pleasure will be more intense.
After a while, she turned around and lay on Sunny. She panted and said, "Sunny, I will serve you today, but you have to do a thing for me."
