Chapter 635 Insult
The sky suddenly started to rain, and Molly's wound hurt terribly from the raindrops, making her whole body feel weak and powerless.
She was already in poor health, and after this ordeal, she had no strength left at all.
She could only hide behind a muddy bush, trying her best to shrink her body and reduce her presence.
Molly felt very sleepy, and just as she managed to doze off for a moment, she heard footsteps in the distance, as if someone was walking with uneven steps.
In the dead of night, the only person who could be there was Rhett.
With the rain washing away their tracks, she had no hope that anyone would come to rescue her.
The heavy rain made searching difficult, and even if Harper sent someone to find her, she might not be able to hold on until they arrived.
Molly hugged herself tightly, not only shrinking her body but also holding her breath, afraid of being discovered by Rhett.
The difference in strength between men and women was significant, especially for someone as sick as her. If Rhett found her, she would be as good as dead.
Sure enough, the footsteps got closer, accompanied by the sound of a stick pushing through the bushes.
"Stop hiding." Rhett's creepy voice sounded especially terrifying in the rainy night forest.
Rhett whistled and said, "There might be pythons and wild beasts here. Instead of being eaten by animals, why not come out obediently? I promise to give you a quick death."
Rhett's smile was extremely chilling.
Molly didn't dare to make a sound. She heard the footsteps getting closer, and Rhett had a flashlight. If he passed by, he would definitely find her.
Molly looked at the bracelet in her hand, trying not to make a sound. In a moment of inspiration, she wrapped the bracelet around a stone and threw it far away to create a noise.
Sure enough, Rhett, who was about to approach, was attracted by the sound and laughed loudly, "I'm about to find you."
Then she heard Rhett's footsteps heading towards the stone.
This bracelet was given to Molly by Isadora, saying it was Taylor's favorite gift and wanted to give it to Molly.
She hoped it would protect Molly, and indeed, at a critical moment, the bracelet worked.
At least Rhett would be misled by the bracelet and waste some time.
After confirming that Rhett had really walked away, Molly stood up with the help of a tree and limped out of the forest.
If she had been outside earlier, with no cover and her lack of strength compared to Rhett, she would have been caught for sure. That was why she chose to hide in the hard-to-find forest.
But now some time had passed, and she gambled that there might be a rescue outside. After all, she had contacted Harper, and Harper would definitely find a way to save her.
Now, if she went out, she might run into the rescue team if she was lucky.
Molly walked in the direction she remembered.
After walking for a while, she heard Rhett's furious voice, "Where are you hiding? How dare you trick me! If I find you, I'll ruin your face!"
Hearing Rhett's angry and crazy voice, Molly didn't dare to stop and quickened her pace.
Seeing the exit of the forest, Molly was overjoyed and ran towards it.
But when she finally got out, she was dumbfounded.
Molly had gone the wrong way. It was a slope, and their car was gone, let alone any rescue.
Everything indicated that she had gone the wrong way.
Just as Molly was in despair, she suddenly heard a creepy laugh behind her.
"Finally found you." Rhett had just come out from inside.
In the open area, Molly had nowhere to hide. She could only walk along the slope, but her legs were not agile, and she couldn't walk fast.
She hadn't taken a few steps before Rhett grabbed her hair hard, "Still trying to run."
Rhett threw Molly heavily to the ground.
Molly could feel her knee breaking.
"You bitch, you did that to my hand on purpose, didn't you?" Rhett's hand was wrapped in a cloth but still not very functional.
Molly said helplessly, "I saved you out of kindness, and this is how you repay me? People like you will be punished."
"I've done so many bad things, and if I were to be punished, it would have done so long ago. But I'm still alive and well, aren't I?" Molly spat, "Arrogant fool, it's just not your time yet."
Rhett jabbed Molly's knee hard with a stick.
Molly cried out in pain, her face wrinkled.
Rhett glared at her viciously, "I see you're still tough-mouthed!"
At this moment, a flash of lightning lit up the sky.
The white light clearly illuminated Molly's rain-washed face, along with her wet clothes that revealed her graceful figure.
Rhett's intentions changed instantly, and he became lecherous, poking Molly's neckline with the stick in a humiliating manner.
"Your body is really nice," Rhett said lecherously.
It was clear that Molly's body, soaked in rain, was far better than Sloane's. Coupled with her alluring face, it was like a scene of wet temptation, enough to arouse any man's interest.
Rhett became agitated, and his body showed shameless signs, but he didn't intend to hide it.
Instead, he deliberately turned sideways and said, "Ms. Koch, how about I make you feel good before you die?"
Molly spat at him and said fiercely, "Over my dead body!"
Molly saw that there was a river at the bottom of the slope. She would rather jump into the river than be humiliated by Rhett!
"That's fine. If you die, I can still... do it anyway." Rhett, the madman, had no scruples anymore.
Molly felt utterly disgusted.
Rhett had no bottom line; he was rotten to the core.
Now, after doing bad things and getting money, the ugliness in his nature had been magnified hundreds of times.
Seeing Rhett approaching, Molly didn't think twice and rolled down the slope, but her arm was grabbed by him.
Rhett dragged Molly up, cursing, "Don't worry, today is your death day. Don't rush to die; let me have some fun first."
With that, Rhett reached out to unbuckle his belt.
