Francis raised an eyebrow and said coldly, "Throw them out!"
Victor knew he meant the loudest fans and reporters, including Chloe and Lenora.
Kicking out the press conference hosts meant ending it, but he had to follow orders.
Victor signaled the bodyguards to act.
"Hold on," Francis frowned, then said, "Let's watch."
He almost lost it but remembered Harper didn't want him interfering. She had a plan, so he held back his anger.
He trusted she could handle it and saw it as practice for dealing with troublemakers.
Still uneasy, Francis instructed, "Keep the bodyguards around Harper. If anyone tries anything, take them down."
He worried Isla couldn't handle the chaotic crowd alone. Harper's safety was the priority.
The press conference got heated again with reporters and fans shouting.
"Answer our questions!"
"You weren't this quiet when seducing a married man!"
A few fans tried to rush forward but were quickly pinned down by bodyguards.
Harper, surprised, followed the security's gaze to Victor. Further back, she saw Francis at the back door, calm and reliable, giving her a sense of peace.
Harper finally spoke, "Mrs. Hall, you say I seduced your husband. Do you have any proof?"
Lenora, caught off guard, froze. She coughed awkwardly, "Of course I do! Let's show everyone."
Harper knew she meant the footage from that night, showing her and Maurice entering the lounge. The hotel's surveillance was hacked, and only a maliciously edited video remained.
Both she and Maurice had been drugged, making it look like they were involved. The video was posted online but taken down quickly.
Lenora thought Harper paid to remove it. She would replay it at the press conference anyway.
At that moment, the large screen behind Lenora started playing the surveillance footage from that night, showing Harper entering the dinner and the spliced scenes of their interactions.
Chloe and Lenora exchanged smug glances, confident this would bring Harper down.
Suddenly, the screen switched to explicit moaning, heavy breathing, and indecent words.
"Do you play with your wife like this at home too?"
"Mr. Hall, your wife used to be wild, with several men in one night."
"I realized too late, I've fallen for her trap!"
Lenora, initially smiling and facing the reporters and fans, noticed the fans' changing expressions and the voices from the screen. She hadn't heard this part before! The male voice was Maurice's, and the female voice...
Lenora turned around to see Maurice with a woman in the bathroom, clearly consensual. No drugging, no seduction—it was all voluntary.
Chloe, panicking, rushed forward.
"Turn it off! Turn it off now!"
The bodies were pixelated, but the faces were clear.
Everyone recognized Chloe, the director of Epoch Studio, who had just been defending Lenora. Turned out, Chloe was the other woman.
Chloe grabbed the remote but couldn't turn off the screen. The remote malfunctioned! Then, a crucial conversation played.
Chloe whispered something to Maurice.
Maurice, breathless, said, "I want to, but I'm exhausted. I just gave it all to you."
Chloe whispered more.
Maurice's greasy smile appeared. "Baby, you're so smart. If I could get that woman, it would be great."
Though Chloe's voice was too low to record, it was clear she was talking about framing someone.
The room fell silent. The fans, who had been shouting moments ago, were stunned by the truth.
Lenora reacted first, pointing at Chloe with a trembling finger. "So it was you who seduced my husband!"
Seducing Maurice was one thing, but bringing up her past was another. Lenora had always portrayed herself as innocent. Now, with Chloe's words and Maurice's confirmation, her image crumbled!
Chloe, used to playing the victim, looked pitiful. "Lenora, don't be fooled. This must be a doctored video. That's not me."
"Bitch! You're the liar!" Lenora didn't buy it. After years in the entertainment industry, she could tell if it was doctored or not!
She lost her cool and shouted, "I thought you were a good person, giving me dresses, plans, and ideas on how to deal with the woman who seduced my husband. I never thought you were the most insidious and vicious one!"
