Chapter 251 What Do I Have to Do for You to Look at Me?
Harper couldn't believe it. "Keith, are you nuts?"
Keith smiled softly. "Harper, I want you with me forever. I don't care about anything else."
"No!" Harper shouted. "Keith, I'm married!"
Keith's face tensed a bit. "Harper, I don't care if you've been married."
"It's not that I was married," Harper said. "I remarried Francis."
Keith slammed on the brakes, making Harper lurch forward and hit her head on the dashboard.
Keith's eyes were bloodshot. "What did you say?"
Holding her head, Harper replied, "Keith, I remarried Francis yesterday. He'll come looking for me."
The car went silent. Keith's gentle expression turned dark.
"Why?" he demanded, his voice a chilling whisper as he stared at her as if trying to read her soul.
Harper forced herself to stay calm despite the fear threatening to overwhelm her. "He's the father of my child. He will definitely come for me."
Keith's face turned icy. He grabbed her chin. "He hurt you, and you lost a child because of him. Have you forgotten?"
His grip tightened. "I thought your pregnancy was an accident, so I let it go. But you remarried him?"
Harper's tears flowed. Keith's grip was painful. "Do all you women like to degrade yourselves?"
Keith saw Addison in Harper, another woman who didn't appreciate him. Why did they push him to this?
His expression twisted, and he started strangling her. Harper's body trembled violently.
Her face turned pale, and she scratched Keith's arm, shouting, "Keith! Snap out of it!"
Keith watched her face turn red and her breathing weaken. He felt the thrill of controlling her life.
When he met her fearful eyes, he saw the fear that replaced the care and gratitude she once had.
Suddenly, he let go as if burned. Harper collapsed, gasping for air.
Keith regained his senses and said calmly, "Harper, I'm very disappointed in you. As punishment, you won't keep your child."
He had thought he could send the child away if Harper came with him. But now, the child couldn't be born.
Harper's eyes widened in disbelief. "Are you crazy? This is my child. How can you say that?"
"My love," Keith said, his face emotionless. "I'm doing this for us."
Harper's eyes filled with terror. Keith was completely insane!
She clutched her belly protectively. "Keith, don't you dare touch my child. If the child is gone, so am I!"
Keith replied coldly, "You'll agree. I'll help you forget this."
Harper's face went pale. She knew he meant it. No way could she let him take her child!
Keith restarted the car, ready to drive off, when Harper suddenly clutched her stomach and cried out, "It hurts. Stop the car!"
Keith turned, assessing her. "Keith, it hurts so much. Am I going to die?" Harper curled up, her face twisted in pain, reaching for his sleeve. "Keith," she whimpered.
Her soft voice made Keith pause. "Does it really hurt?" he asked.
Harper nodded vigorously. He leaned over. "Let me see?"
Before he could finish, Harper grabbed a perfume bottle from the console and smashed it against Keith's head. Blood flowed from the cut on his forehead.
Harper hit the unlock button, unbuckled her seatbelt, and tried to open the door. But Keith yanked her hair hard, making her cry out in pain. His blood-covered face looked terrifying.
"Harper, you've really disappointed me!" Keith pushed her back into the seat, tore off the seatbelt, and tied her up.
Harper, unable to move, said stubbornly, "Keith, I won't go with you. The only thing you can take is my corpse!"
"Is that so?" Keith leaned over, pressing the seat's recline button, laying it flat.
Harper didn't understand what he was doing.
"I heard that only that place in a woman leads to her heart. Do you refuse me because he's good in bed?"
He swung his legs over the seat and pressed her down. "How do you know I'm not better if you haven't tried?"
Harper's face turned pale. "Don't touch me!"
Keith looked at her steadily, then pressed his lips down. Harper turned away, and his cold kiss landed on her hair. He didn't mind and bit her earlobe.
Harper couldn't hold back anymore, tears streaming down her face. "Keith, don't touch me. You're disgusting."
Seeing the extreme disgust in her eyes, Keith's breath caught, and his eyes darkened. "Harper, can you just look at me?" His voice was hoarse, almost begging. "What do I have to do for you to look at me?"
With a low, raspy voice, Keith buried his head in her neck, seeking the warmth she once gave him. "If I listen to you, will you look at me?"
Keith's sudden change caught Harper off guard. She opened her mouth to speak when a blinding light hit her eyes.
Harper looked in the rearview mirror and saw a dark blue luxury car behind them. Just as she was about to call for help, the roar of an engine sounded.
In the next second, with a loud crash, the car behind them swerved into them without hesitation!
