Chapter 332 Bastard
Audrey stopped, looking innocent. "Maybe I accidentally bumped it while putting the files away."
Francis's face turned cold. "I told you before, you don't need to deliver files yourself. If you have nothing better to do, maybe you should resign."
The office felt like it dropped a few degrees.
Audrey's fingers dug into her palm, but she kept a gentle smile. "Okay, I'll remember that."
After leaving the office, her face went blank, but her aura turned icy.
As she passed Payton Brown, who was delivering files, Payton bumped into her. Audrey grabbed her arm.
"Are you blind?" Audrey snapped.
Her nails dug into Payton's arm, making her wince in pain.
Payton's face went pale with fear. "Ms. Hernandez, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
Audrey had always been gentle. What turned her into this?
Audrey's anger lasted a minute before she let go and returned to her usual calm self.
"Be careful next time," Audrey advised, then walked away, leaving Payton stunned.
After delivering the files, Payton went to the break room, rolled up her sleeve, and saw five bloody nail marks. Moving her arm made her wince in pain.
A colleague asked, "Payton, what happened?"
Payton was about to explain but realized no one would believe her. Audrey had a great reputation. She mumbled, "A bug bit me."
In the car, Audrey dialed a number. "Find Chloe for me."
Since that incident, Chloe had been blacklisted by several wealthy women.
Chloe was smart and ran away from the hospital. Now she was missing.
The wealthy women had put a bounty on her.
Chloe had been sleeping with their husbands and scamming them. Once found, she wouldn't escape punishment.
"Once you find her, bring her to me." Audrey hung up, her face still cold.
Chloe had escaped Francis's wrath thanks to Audrey's advice to seek protection from Ryan.
Chloe had told Ryan about Sunny, and Sunny soon died quietly.
Francis, devastated by Harper's death, had become despondent and was easily defeated by Ryan.
All of this was part of Audrey's plan. She wanted Francis to feel alone so her companionship would seem invaluable, making it easier to win his heart.
Audrey had everything planned, but just when success seemed close, Harper returned alive, changing everything!
She thought about Francis's tone earlier, clearly wanting to kick her out. She felt a surge of resentment.
Audrey had been by Francis's side for five years, and this was her reward.
Why? Abigail had personally asked her to take the vice president position.
Back then, most of Francis's team had been poached by Ryan, and Abigail sought help from the Hernandez family.
The Hernandez family invested in a multi-billion dollar project, with Audrey as the project VP, to stabilize Francis's position.
Abigail had also promised to set up Francis and Audrey. Now that Francis had turned things around, he wanted to kick her out? How could that be fair?
Audrey's eyes turned cold. "Take me to the Getty Mansion," she told the driver.
It was time for Abigail to fulfill her promises.
After handling urgent files, Francis checked his phone and saw a voice message from Agnes.
He pressed play and heard an angry voice. "Bad guy. Big liar. I'm cutting ties with you. You're not my dad anymore."
Francis raised an eyebrow, puzzled, and tried calling back, but it didn't go through.
With his experience, he knew Agnes had blocked him.
He called Harper, but she didn't answer either. He shook his head and smiled wryly; like mother, like daughter.
"Victor, check if Harper is with Agnes right now," Francis instructed.
Victor stammered, "Yes, they're together."
Francis raised an eyebrow. "You checked?"
Victor felt bitter; he didn't need to check, he had Harper's Facebook.
Harper had just uploaded photos from their trip to the amusement park. Not only were Agnes and Harper in the photos, but Vincent was also there!
Victor panicked. If Francis saw this, it would be bad.
Seeing Victor's hesitation, Francis said coldly, "What's going on?"
Victor didn't dare hide it. "Mr. Getty, they're at the amusement park."
"How do you know?" Francis asked.
"I saw the photos she uploaded," Victor replied.
Francis frowned. "Give me your phone."
Victor pulled up the photos, especially the one with just Harper and Agnes, and handed it over.
Francis looked at the photo, his voice icy. "You even have Harper's Facebook?"
Victor broke into a cold sweat. "It was from long ago."
Francis swiped and saw the second photo of Vincent holding Agnes and posing with a robot.
His face turned extremely cold.
He had foolishly waited for Harper to invite him to the amusement park over the weekend, but they went without him.
"Get the car," Francis ordered.
"Huh?" Victor was stunned.
"To the amusement park," Francis said coldly.
