Chapter 150 I Will Not Only Pursue Her but Also Marry Her

Instantly, Francis' handsome face turned even darker.

Keith, however, didn't care how ugly his expression was. He just looked Harper up and down and asked with concern, "Are you okay?"

Harper shook her head.

Francis' anger surged. He remembered that the last conflict between him and Keith was still unresolved.

Drowned in anger, he said, "Keith, you really are everywhere."

Their gazes met in the air silently, but neither backed down.

"Mr. Getty, you're joking."

Compared to Francis' rage, Keith was much calmer.

He said lightly, "Harper and I are just friends. Compared to me, it's Mr. Getty who needs to be more careful. After all, it's clear Harper doesn't really want to be around you."

Francis didn't hear a word of the latter part. His attention was all on the word “friends” he had said.

In just a few days, they were together.

He suddenly grabbed Keith's collar and gritted his teeth, saying, "You think you're worthy?"

Harper's expression changed, and she thought Francis was about to hit him again. So she quickly reached out to stop him and angrily said, "Francis, let him go."

Francis didn't want to let him go, but seeing the wariness in Harper's eyes hurt him deeply.

He let Keith go and said coldly, "I'm telling you, he's not a good person. You are not allowed to be near him."

Harper was fed up with Francis' domineering logic. Anyone he didn't like was not a good person.

She sneered as she said, "Yes, there is only one good person left in the whole world, and that's you. The rest of us are all bad people."

Harper's words effectively put her and Keith in one camp, leaving Francis alone.

He felt very uncomfortable hearing this and said firmly, "Anyway, you can be in contact with anyone but him."

Harper got angry and asked, "Mr. Getty, what makes you think you can tell me what to do now?"

"I'm doing this for your good."

"Well, thank you very much."

They started arguing like this. To outsiders, their relationship didn't seem like that of a divorced couple but more like a quarreling pair.

Keith's eyes turned cold. He grabbed Harper's wrist and said, "Harper, let's go."

"You're not going anywhere."

Francis also grabbed the other of her hands and said coldly, "I'll take you back. You're not going with him."

Harper didn't hesitate to shake off Francis' hand and said, "I don't need your help."

Seeing Harper shake him off without hesitation, Francis' expression turned gloomy as he said, "You really think he's a good person, but in reality, he's just hiding his dirty thoughts from you."

Harper was about to say something when Keith spoke first.

"Mr. Getty, I don't know what makes you misunderstand me, but I didn't express my feelings before because Harper was married. Now that she's single, I'm not afraid to let everyone know that I want to pursue her."

Harper was a bit stunned by this.

She thought, ‘Keith is going to pursue me?’

Francis' anger was almost instantly ignited as he said, "Pursue her? You think you're worthy?"

Keith wasn't angry at all. He smiled and said, "Indeed, pursuing a woman as beautiful and excellent as Harper is a lot of pressure, but..."

He paused for a second and looked at Francis with a hint of amusement in his eyes. "I still have to thank Mr. Getty for letting her go and giving me this opportunity."

This was a blatant provocation.

Francis directly punched him fiercely, and without holding back, he knocked Keith to the ground as blood was trickling from the corner of his mouth.

This time, Keith didn't back down as he usually did. He retaliated with a punch to Francis' jaw.
They wrestled with each other, but neither was willing to back down.

Normally, Francis would have easily defeated Keith, but he had just recovered from a serious illness, and his stamina was nowhere near what it used to be. It took several punches before Keith started to show signs of weakness.

Harper, standing nearby, anxiously shouted, "Stop. Francis, stop it."

Francis' raised fist paused for a moment, but Keith seized the opportunity to provoke him, "Mr. Getty, I will not only pursue her but also marry her."

This time, Francis didn't hesitate to throw his punch, but seeing Harper rush over, he suddenly held back.

Harper took the chance to push him away and supported Keith with a concerned look. "Are you okay?"

After all, it was clear that Keith had taken the heavier beating, and when she spoke up, Keith had already stopped, while Francis was still relentless.

Keith shook his head and gently reassured her as he said, "I'm fine."

This scene pierced Francis' eyes painfully.

He reached out to grab Harper's arm, and his eyes were bloodshot as he stared at her. "Are you really picking him over me?"

Harper felt nothing but anger. She couldn't understand why he was asking such a ridiculous question.

She always hated to owe other’s favor, and now Keith was injured because of her, which added to her psychological burden.

Her tone was extremely harsh as she said, "Francis, what part do you not understand that we are divorced? Please don't just hit my friends."

With that, she helped Keith up and started walking towards the car.

At that moment, Francis felt like his actions were those of a self-deluded fool.

His fists clenched tightly, and the wounds he had just sustained were still bleeding.

But Harper couldn't see this, or perhaps she chose to ignore it.

All his emotions, especially his anger, could no longer elicit even a shred of concern from her.

Defeat, exhaustion, and helplessness weighed on him like mountains.

Watching Harper's retreating figure, Francis coldly said, "Harper, if you leave with him now, we're completely done."

At this point, his words were clearly unwise, but he couldn't just stand by and watch them leave.

Harper paused for a moment but didn't stop.

They had ended long ago when they divorced and when she lost her child. They were already over.

Seeing Harper walk away without hesitation, Francis burst out laughing.

"Harper, have you been waiting for this day? You two have been doing this for a long time, haven't you? Just waiting for us to divorce so you two could be together."

His words were filled with defiance, unwillingness, and an emotion he hadn't even realized, namely jealousy.

He continued to laugh. "You're just my discarded ex-wife. If you want to leave with him, I won't stop you. From now on, you have nothing to do with me."

The desperation in his words was obvious to anyone who wasn't deaf.

Francis' mind was already muddled, and he didn't care about what’s right and what’s not. He was spewing out whatever came to mind.

In essence, he just wanted her to come back to him.

How could she be able to throw him away like garbage?

Harper stopped walking and didn't move forward. Keith was about to say something, but Harper held his arm.

She softly said, "Wait for me."

Then she turned around and slowly walked towards Francis.

Francis stared at her as he said, "Harper, do you think I can't live without you?"

Harper used all her strength to slap Francis, which even made her palm hurt.

She looked at him. Her eyes were tinged with red from anger, and through gritted teeth, she said, "This slap is for my baby."
