Chapter 631 Stirring Things Up Won't Do Her Any Good

Harper had been anxiously waiting for Francis's call and picked it up almost immediately. "Francis, how is it?"

Harper's voice was trembling, deeply worried that something bad had happened to Molly.

"I had Victor bring the best team to search, and we've reported it to the police, but she's not at the place where she went missing. We're still looking." Francis didn't hide anything because he knew Harper's persistent nature would make hiding the truth pointless.

If she kept not hearing from Molly, she would go out searching herself, which would make Francis even more worried.

Harper burst into tears, "Molly, could she be in danger?"

"Don't worry, I've already informed Robert. I'm confident we'll find her soon," Francis said.

"What?" Harper was shocked.

Harper then shouted, "How could you tell Robert? He's the murderer! Who else in Northfield would want to harm Molly? When her father's company went bankrupt, she even borrowed money to pay the employees' compensation. Besides Robert, no one else would want to hurt her. I bet he's the one who had someone harm Molly!"

"It's not him," Francis said calmly. "Harper, trust me. Molly is the mother of his child; he wouldn't harm her. Right now, only Robert can find out where she is."

Every minute that passed increased the danger.

Francis didn't say this to Harper, fearing she would worry even more.

"Can someone like Robert really see Taylor as just his child?" Harper didn't believe it.

After all, Robert had always shown that he would abandon everything for profit.

Given all the excessive things Robert had done, Harper found it hard to believe that he would spare Molly just because she was Taylor's mother.

"Harper, trust me, I wouldn't be wrong about this. He won't harm Taylor, nor will he let anyone harm Molly," Francis said.

There were many things Francis could comfort her about but couldn't interfere with, as Taylor was Robert's child, and it wasn't anyone else's place to say much.

However, from Robert asking Francis if he knew any good cardiologists, it was clear he wasn't as indifferent as he appeared.

Because of Molly and Harper's relationship, they hadn't gathered in a long time.

Differences in views, Francis's deep affection for Harper, and the fact that their babies were still young led him to reduce unnecessary social interactions.

Adults didn't need to explain everything; a mutual distancing was the last bit of dignity.

Francis believed Robert understood this, which was why he hadn't contacted him. But this time, for Taylor's sake, he put aside his pride to ask Francis, showing that he did care about Taylor.

Harper's worry was unnecessary.

Francis said, "I've already arranged it. I'll fly back tonight. Victor and his team are searching. Don't go out running around; stay home and wait for news. I'll be back soon, okay?"

Harper was at a loss. She did want to go out and search for Molly, but her methods wouldn't be better than those of Victor's professional team. Going out would only cause more trouble.

If something happened to her, Victor would have to divert resources to find her, possibly delaying the search for Molly.

So Harper chose to listen to Francis and stay home to wait for news.

"Isn't your project at its most critical stage? Will coming back now affect it?" Harper asked.

"It's fine. I've already handed it over to the supervisor here. Your matter is more important right now," Francis said gently.

Harper felt a warmth in her heart and said emotionally, "Safe travels. Try to get some sleep on the plane."

She knew Francis hadn't been sleeping well these past few days, dealing with jet lag and intense work.

She felt sorry for him but could only support him.

"Yes, I know. Once this project is over, I'll take a long vacation to spend time with you all."

Since getting married, Francis avoided business trips unless absolutely necessary.

The kids were still young, and even with many nannies and Zoey and Abigail helping out, Francis still worried.

Moreover, mothers during breastfeeding were prone to psychological issues, so Francis reduced his work to stay home with Harper as much as possible.

But this project was crucial for expanding into the overseas market.

Foreign countries had been using various technologies to limit Dreamlandia, and Francis wanted to contribute to his country by expanding into the overseas market.

So Francis took this project very seriously and had already made many trips abroad.

But each trip was short, sometimes flying back within twelve hours of landing, because he missed the kids and worried Harper would be unhappy at home.

Now was indeed a critical time. After hanging up, Francis squeezed in some more meeting time before rushing to catch his flight back.

The project was important, but Harper's emotions were equally important to him.

Francis had promised on their wedding day that he would never let her face difficult and frightening times alone.

Robert suddenly had to leave, barely having eaten a few bites.

Rosie was full of displeasure. She seemed to have heard the person on the phone mention Molly, and her displeasure quickly turned into extreme unease.

"Robert!" Rosie suddenly stood up and grabbed Robert's arm.

Robert stood still, looking at her, seemingly waiting for her to speak.

Lately, their relationship had grown increasingly distant. Though they were engaged, they were less familiar than colleagues from different departments at the company, who at least nodded in greeting.

A woman's intuition was always subtle, and Rosie felt that Robert had been avoiding her. He was either on a business trip or working overnight, leaving almost no time to spend with her.

Even today's meal was only because she mentioned visiting Robert's parents' graves, prompting him to agree to this late-night meal.

But Robert hadn't even taken a sip of the soup Rosie had simmered.

Rosie's lips moved slightly, and she said, "I simmered this soup for six hours, and you haven't even tasted it."

In fact, Rosie wanted to ask if he was going to find Molly, but she didn't dare to.

Saying too much would only annoy him. As long as she didn't say it, she was still Robert's fiancée and could still become his wife.

If she made a scene, it wouldn't benefit her.

Robert said expressionlessly, "I have something urgent. I'll drink it next time."

He tugged at his arm, his brows slightly furrowed, showing some impatience at Rosie's grip.

Rosie, understanding the situation, immediately let go and maintained a smile, saying, "Then go ahead. Don't forget to eat while you're busy. I'll make the soup again next time."

Seeing her happy face, Robert frowned slightly but said nothing more.

Rosie pretended not to notice Robert's discomfort and gently took his coat to help him put it on.

As he was about to reach the door, Rosie called out to him again, "Robert,"
