Chapter 200 The Only Thing I Can't Do is Love You
"Molly!" Robert snapped.
He grabbed Molly's arm and lifted her with one hand.
"Are you out of your mind? I told you to get lost! Didn't you hear me?" His grip was so tight it felt like her bones might break.
But her heart hurt more than her arm.
Molly hated herself for ever getting involved with Robert when she was young and naive.
It had brought disaster to her parents and the entire Koch family.
Molly's face was wet with silent tears, her body shaking.
Her quiet sobs were like a knife to Robert's heart.
Quinn, standing nearby, felt a surge of jealousy.
She knew Robert too well.
The angrier he got, the more he cared. He not only cared about Molly, but he was also hesitating about their plan.
The plan to take over the Koch family was something they had agreed on together.
Robert had promised her that after taking over the Koch family, he would stop messing with Molly and marry her.
The so-called three-year agreement was just a lie to deceive Molly.
It was to make Molly think she had time to deal with Robert.
All of this was Quinn's idea because the greater Molly's hope was, the greater the pain she had when it was shattered.
But now, Robert was hesitating.
It turned out that Molly still mattered to Robert. Quinn had to make sure he lost all his good impressions of her.
Quinn hid her malice, reached out to touch Robert's hand, and gently soothed, "Robert, calm down. Today is my birthday; I don't want anyone to ruin it."
Robert's anger seemed to vanish with Quinn's touch.
He suddenly let go, and Molly slumped against the deck railing, barely able to stand.
The wind on the deck was strong, and the coat Quinn had just put on was blown off all of a sudden, stained with blood when it fell to the ground.
Having been spoiled, she refused to wear it again and looked up at Robert. "Robert, can you get me another coat? It's so cold."
Robert, with a sullen face, looked at Molly and said, "I don't want to see you when I get back!"
As he turned away, two bodyguards immediately stepped forward, grabbing Molly's arms, ready to throw her out.
Molly had already regained her composure.
She knew Robert was determined to destroy the Koch family, and begging again would be useless.
She might try other possibilities.
She stood up, head held high, and said, "I'll walk out myself!"
Quinn called out to her, "Ms. Koch!"
Molly turned her head, and Quinn took a step forward, blocking her path. She said with a gentle smile, "Why are you in such a hurry?"
"Ms. Cane, please move," Molly said coldly, looking at her warily.
She had suffered losses because of Quinn more than once and knew she was up to no good.
"Why are you so nervous?" Quinn covered her lips and giggled, "Have you ever wondered why the Koch Group's orders went wrong today?"
Molly frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Come closer, and I'll tell you."
Molly knew Quinn might have some scheme, but her previous words had aroused Molly's suspicions, so Molly stepped forward.
"Spill it!" she demanded.
"Of course!" Quinn suddenly grabbed Molly's wrist and said sinisterly, "Since you're here, let me give you a gift; how about that?"
Molly's eyes narrowed as she looked at Quinn, but before she could react, her arm felt a forceful pull!
Quinn yanked her hands, and her body suddenly leaned back uncontrollably over the railing.
Before falling, Quinn screamed, "Robert, save me! Molly pushed me."
Countless splashes appeared on the water!
Quinn had fallen into the water!
Everything happened in an instant. Molly quickly grabbed the railing to prevent herself from being pulled down.
"Quinn!"
Robert rushed over, pushed Molly away from the railing, gave her a fierce glare, and, without hesitation, jumped into the river.
In no time, he emerged from the water holding Quinn. People on the yacht lowered a rope ladder and pulled them up.
It was freezing down there, and Quinn's body couldn't withstand it, and neither could Robert's. She shivered, her lips turning purple, her face pale.
Quinn was rescued in time and barely choked on any water. Now, she was leaning against Robert, crying incessantly.
She looked utterly pitiful.
Someone quickly brought a blanket to wrap Quinn up.
Robert ordered, "Take Ms. Cane inside to rest."
Quinn grabbed Robert's arm, biting her lip, tears streaming down her face. "Robert..."
Robert gently held her hands, soothing her, "Be good; I won't let you suffer."
Quinn lowered her head, a malicious smile appearing in her eyes. 'Molly, now you're really done for.'
Robert turned around, his expression icy. With each step he took, he approached Molly.
Stopping in front of her, his eyes narrowed dangerously. "Molly, I'll give you a chance to explain. Why did you push Quinn?"
His tone was calm, but Molly knew this was a sign of his impending rage!
She had been tormented by him like this more than once, and just the thought of it made every cell in her body tremble.
She was terrified of his current calm demeanor!
Molly's lips trembled involuntarily as she said, "I didn't push her."
Robert casually wiped his wet hair. Although he was drenched, he didn't look disheveled.
He took a lit cigar from someone nearby, leaned lazily against the railing, took a shallow puff, and asked indifferently, "Are you saying Quinn fell in by herself?"
"She grabbed my hands on purpose."
Before she could finish, the cigar in Robert's hand suddenly dropped near Molly's fingers!
The burning ember almost scorched the back of her hand!
His shiny black shoe tip lifted Molly's chin, forcing her face up bit by bit, and he said slowly, "Are you trying to say Quinn tried to frame you and ended up falling in herself?"
Her chin ached from the hard leather shoe.
Molly didn't dare lower her head, looking up at the towering Robert; she said with difficulty, "I didn't push her."
Robert sneered, his tall figure looking down at the tiny Molly like an ant. "Are you refusing to admit what you did is wrong, huh?"
He gestured to the nearest bodyguard. "Tell me, what did you see?"
The bodyguard lowered his head and answered smoothly, "I saw this lady push Ms. Cane!"
Quinn paid these bodyguards, and they knew what to do.
So, regardless of whether they saw it or not, the answer had to be what they had been told.
Another bodyguard quickly added, "Me, too."
Robert looked at Molly coldly, gritting his teeth. "I think you heard them pretty clear?"
His tone was like asking a condemned prisoner what they wanted for their last meal, terrifying!
Molly felt like an invisible hand was gripping her throat; she couldn't utter a single word!
She knew that on this entire ship, not a single person would stand by her!
No one would help her, so there was no need to argue.
Because what they wanted wasn't an answer but to see her punished!
It would be the grand finale of this revelry!
Robert looked at Molly's desolate eyes and sneered, "Is that enough for you?"
"If I say I didn't, would you believe me? In your heart..."
Molly laughed bitterly, "You've already made up your mind, haven't you?"
Robert's gaze was piercing as he stared at Molly. "If you don't tell me why you pushed her, how do you know I won't believe you?"
At this moment, he seemed possessed by something.
He didn't even know what he wanted to hear from Molly.
But he just wanted to hear a reason.
The conflict between women was usually out of jealousy.
The thought that Molly might be jealous of Quinn brought a strange sense of joy to his heart.
"Robert, what do you want to hear my explanation? You don't think I pushed Quinn out of jealousy, do you?"
Instantly, an unnatural emotion flashed across Robert's stern face, fleeting but caught by Molly.
This time, she really laughed.
It was a sneer!
How could he think she still loved him after being humiliated time and again? Was she too good an actress?
Now that her plan had failed, and all hope for the Koch family was nearly gone.
What else did she have to care about?
"Robert, you and Quinn are perfect together! One is a heartless asshole, while the other is a two-faced bitch! I hope, more than anyone, that you two stay together forever. Leave me alone!"
"Robert! Keep this in mind!"
"I hate you, loathe you, and am disgusted by you! Love is the one thing I will never feel for you!"
The smile on Molly's face was so heartless and so piercing!
The veins on Robert's temples bulged all of a sudden, and he raised his right hand.
He slapped Molly hard in the face!
