Chapter 277 I Need to See Her Body

The sea was raging, and Robert searched frantically but in vain.

Without any hesitation, he jumped over the railing, only to be grabbed by Zack, who had rushed over. "Mr. Perot, don't. If you fell at the wrong angle, you could hit the rocks..."

Zack didn't finish his sentence, but he meant that there would be no point in saving her.

Molly was doomed.

"Let me go." Robert's eyes were wild like a demon's, and his voice was heart-wrenching.

The deep blue sea was bottomless, and every second of delay reduced Molly's chances of survival.

"Mr. Perot! Ms. Koch wants this." Zack reluctantly revealed the truth as he told him, "This morning, a large sum of money was deposited into Mrs. Koch's hospital account, enough to cover fifty years of expenses. It was Ms. Koch who deposited it."

Wasn't that clear enough? Perhaps when she saw Leah yesterday, Molly had already decided to die.

In an instant, Robert's blood stopped flowing.

Molly had long made up her mind. She preferred death over staying by his side.

Suddenly, Robert's heart felt like it was being torn apart, bleeding inch by inch, the pain spreading throughout his body, almost unbearable.

In the dim light, it seemed like a voice was calling from the deep blue sea. "Robert, Robert."

Each call felt like a knife stabbing his heart until his vision darkened, and he could no longer stand.

Zack caught him just in time.

Robert looked up, "If I don't come back, bury us together when you find us."

Robert leaped, his body instantly swallowed by the vast ocean.

"Mr. Perot!" Zack cried out in anguish.

He immediately went to the seaside office and dispatched several lifeboats to search them.

When Robert woke up the next day, he had been found by Zack and the maritime office.

They had searched the sea for nearly an hour, and when they found him, he was exhausted, sinking to the bottom.

When Robert opened his eyes, he threw off the covers and got out of bed.

Zack quickly stopped him. "Mr. Perot, the doctor said you need to rest."

Robert said, "I need to find Molly! Did you send to keep looking for her?"

Zack's eyes dimmed, and he breathed, "We've already found Ms. Koch."

"Where is she?" Robert's bloodshot eyes, stained by the seawater, brightened as he stared at Zack. "Is she in the hospital?"

Zack closed his eyes and said harshly, "Ms. Koch has passed away. Please don't be too sad."

Robert staggered back half a step and slumped onto the bed.

Molly was dead? How could that be?

Last night, she had been strong enough to try to strangle him in the car.

How could she be gone overnight?

Robert's eyes were bloodshot and unfocused, his voice trembling as he said, "Where is she?"

Zack hesitated and said, "Mr. Perot, maybe it's better you don't see her. Ms. Koch didn't fall into the sea; she fell on a rock. The body is unrecognizable."

She was sent to the funeral home, but they refused to restore her body.

Her body was too damaged, with a leg missing, which was likely dragged away by some animals.

Robert's heart ached as if it were being torn apart, his tone brooking no argument as he said, "Take me to see her now."

On the way.

Robert's face was calm, unusually composed.

Memories of Molly's every smile and frown flashed through his mind, and he couldn't accept her departure.

Even though Zack had confirmed that the damaged clothes and personal items were indeed what Molly had worn that day, he still didn't believe it.

He felt that maybe Molly just hated him and was hiding from him.

He needed to see her, alive or not. He wouldn't believe it until he saw it with his own eyes.

In a room.

A white cloth covered the obviously damaged body.

Robert slowly approached, his hands, which had once torn wolves apart, now trembling like a man with Parkinson's.

With great difficulty, he lifted the white cloth.

Instantly, his mind felt like it had been pierced.

For a moment, there was no sound around him.

Robert's ears suddenly went deaf; he couldn't hear anything.

He didn't dare, didn't want to admit it, but even though the face was mangled, its shape and outline matched Molly's.

"Impossible! Molly, I will expose your trick!" Robert's eyes were bloodshot and terrifying as he frantically tore at the clothes on the mangled body.

Zack was shocked and tried to stop him. "Mr. Perot!"

The waist was exposed, and on the slender waist, the only remaining piece of skin had a small, bright, and conspicuous red mole, which was so dreadfully conspicuous.

Bright red blood splattered on the white cloth.

Robert felt like he had been hit by a devastating blow, coughing up blood.

The reality was so cruel that he couldn't even lie to himself.

Robert hugged the broken body, kneeling on the ground, his anguished roar echoing through the room.

After that, there was suffocating silence.

Tears, which he hadn't shed since he could remember, fell in large drops from Robert's eyes.

"Molly, I won't hold you back anymore, okay? Come back, I promise I won't hold you back; I'll set you free. It was my fault. It was my fault." Robert pressed his face against the exposed bones of her head, filled with endless love.

Zack felt his scalp tingle at the sight of the corpse, which was honestly more horrifying than Quinn's disfigured face.

Quinn was at most ugly, very ugly, but she was still alive, still breathing.

This corpse, besides being mangled, exuded a chilling aura, especially the two sunken eye sockets, as if they would suck out one's soul.

Robert had clearly despised Quinn's ghastly appearance, despised it immensely.

But now, he didn't mind the mangled body in his arms at all.

"Please, Molly, come back. Come back; I'll give you my life." No matter how he called, the person in his arms would never wake up again.

The door was pushed open from the outside.

A piercing cry filled the room.

Harper knelt on the ground, crawling to the corpse.

Seeing the mangled face, she reached out to touch it, her eyes quickly filling with tears, painful sobs escaping her throat.

The next second, Harper slapped the heartbroken Robert hard in the face.

The slap was vicious.

Five finger marks instantly appeared on Robert's face.

Harper cursed, "Robert! You bastard! If it weren't for you, Molly wouldn't have ended up like this."

Robert knelt on the ground, holding Molly. He didn't care about anything at this moment.

It was as if the slap hadn't landed on his face.

"She lost her child because of you. She intended to keep it. She wanted that baby, you bastard!" Harper shouted.

Robert's body trembled violently.

Molly had wanted to keep their baby.

She had wanted to keep it.

"Keep it, haha." Robert suddenly laughed and cried hysterically, tears mixing with the blood in his mouth, both salty and bitter.

"Give her back to me! Give Molly back to me!" Harper showed no pity, trying to take the body from him as she hated him so much. "Your filthy hands don't deserve to touch her. Drop your act, you bastard."

Robert's dark eyes suddenly flashed with a sharp light.

He raised his hand abruptly and roared, his voice hoarse but fierce, "Don't take her, she's mine!"
