Chapter 349 Don't Cross Me
Robert stayed silent, squinting at her.
After a pause, he finally spoke. "You're not crazy enough. Do whatever you want—kill me, play me—I'm in."
Then, he suddenly kissed Molly hard. It felt like rain after a drought; he lost all control.
The woman he'd wanted for five years was finally in his arms. Nothing felt better.
Robert closed his eyes, savoring it.
Surprisingly, Molly didn't resist. Her lips parted, letting him in.
Robert lost all restraint. He kissed her deeply, lifting her onto his waist.
Suddenly, the elevator dinged open. Flashing lights and cameras greeted them.
News of Robert's insane purchase of the Emerald Oasis Hotel had leaked, and reporters were there for the scoop.
They didn't expect this scandalous scene and snapped away.
Headlines were already forming: "Robert Spends a Fortune for a Woman."
Robert realized he'd been betrayed.
Buying the hotel at five times its value would cause chaos for the Perot Group.
He turned to shield Molly, closed the elevator door, and it started moving again.
He looked at her. "If we can't go back, how about here? I just bought this hotel; pick any room."
Molly smiled, "You're really crazy."
Just to find her room number, he bought a whole hotel. Only a madman would do that.
She sneered, "If I stayed at another hotel, would you buy that too?"
"Yeah, we could try different beds," he said, kissing her again.
Molly pushed him away.
Robert's eyes turned cold. "What's wrong?"
Molly leaned against the elevator wall. "Now I lost the interest."
Robert's eyes darkened. "Then let's go to your room and see who can make you feel better."
Molly frowned. "You're crazy."
Robert laughed, "Only with you."
Molly smiled slightly. She was testing Robert's limits. Her allure was still strong, but when it came to serious matters, Robert's ruthless side would show.
She thought she could push harder. She lifted Robert's chin. "Remember, Robert, whether I feel good or not, and no matter how many men I have, it's none of your business. You're not even a lover to me."
"Really?" Robert said, and before she could respond, he pulled at her blouse buttons. "Let me make you my business."
He stopped the elevator, and her blouse popped open.
Molly felt a chill. Even with the elevator stopped, there were still cameras.
She dug her nails into his arm, her face pale. "Don't you dare!"
Robert laughed wickedly, pressing his forehead against hers. "Molly, have you forgotten who I am?"
He moved to her ear, his breath hot. "There's nothing I won't do."
His hands roamed inside her clothes.
Molly stiffened, too angry to do anything but laugh.
She pinched his chin. "I said no, Robert. Are you trying to force me?"
Robert's dark eyes met her green ones. Seeing the disgust in her eyes, he paused.
She patted his face. "If you force me, I'll call the police."
Robert suddenly backed off. "You're playing me."
Molly smirked. "So what if I am? You can always say no."
"I'm in," Robert said hoarsely, gripping her wrist. "But you can't play with other men."
Molly laughed. "Robert, who I play with is my choice. You have no say."
Robert's heart sank. He knew he had no right to demand anything from her, but he couldn't help himself.
He looked at her calmly. "Molly, I know you hate me and want revenge, but I have limits. Don't cross them. Do whatever you want to me."
Molly laughed. "If I don't push, how will I know your limits? Do you think someone who's died once fears your threats?"
Her arrogance left Robert defenseless.
He clenched his teeth. "Molly, you've changed."
Molly smiled. "Thank you."
The elevator air was stifling.
Feeling uncomfortable, she asked, "Can you let me go now?"
Seeing her pale face, Robert relented and pressed the elevator button.
He drove her to work. Before getting out, Molly extended her hand. "Phone."
Robert took out her phone, removing himself from her blacklist. "How can you play with me if I'm on the blacklist?"
Molly smiled but said nothing.
Robert asked, "Are you free this weekend?"
"I don't know," Molly replied.
"I'll pick you up this weekend," Robert insisted.
They were completely out of sync.
Molly didn't argue. "See you."
She walked in gracefully.
Around the corner, she called someone. "Let the Mitchell family heir know the inside story of today's news."
The Mitchell family was the third party in the contract that cost Harrison his life. To gain their trust, Molly had to start with Robert.
Businessmen were profit-driven. With Robert's crazy actions, buying a hotel at five times its value for a woman, it was only a matter of time before the Mitchell family broke their alliance with him.
Meanwhile, Robert sat in his car, watching her and smoking.
His phone rang; it was Zack. "Mr. Perot, should we suppress the news?"
Some shareholders were already unhappy with Robert's reckless behavior.
Zack thought it would be better to suppress the news to salvage his image.
Robert raised an eyebrow. "No need."
He wanted to see how Molly planned to bring him down.
