Chapter 638 Changes in Feelings

At this moment, Robert couldn't hear anything else. His fists didn't stop, each punch landing on Rhett's face with full force.

He shattered Rhett's teeth, leaving Rhett choking and half-dead.

Molly screamed again, "Robert!"

Robert's hand, about to strike down, stopped just inches from Rhett.

Robert turned to look at Molly, his face a terrifying mix of Rhett's blood and his own.

Robert's eyes were bloodshot, and he said expressionlessly, "Do you still want to keep him to take me down?"

Molly didn't know what to say to that.

Molly indeed didn't want Rhett to die; if he died, there would be no evidence, and Sloane would surely be dealt with by them.

That would make her even further from getting Taylor back.

As long as Rhett was alive, there would always be a chance.

But that was only part of it; the other part was that she felt Robert had no right to judge.

No matter how bad Rhett was, the law should punish him, not Robert taking lives at will.

Robert always saw human lives as insignificant, with no value in his eyes, to be disposed of at will.

But Molly only wanted a just trial.

Rhett's various crimes should be decided by the court.

"Robert, you..." Before Molly could finish her sentence, Rhett suddenly screamed from the ground. "You, you're that guy!"

Robert looked at Rhett, but Rhett's face was so swollen he couldn't see anything, let alone Robert's murderous face.

Rhett's tongue was twisted as he said, "You... you're that guy from the evaluation, you're that lunatic!"

No wonder Robert was beating him to death! He was sick; if he wasn't, why would he switch the samples?

Although Rhett didn't know how far gone Robert was, he knew about that drug. It was for people who couldn't control their emotions at all.

Such people either ended up completely insane or became seemingly gentle but violent. In the later stages, they desperately needed blood and killing to control their frenzied and restless minds.

Rhett felt he was doomed. He said, "A lunatic like you deserves to die. I shouldn't have switched that sample!"

But it was too late for regrets now.

Robert picked up a stone from the ground, ready to smash Rhett's head.

Molly reached out to stop him but was thrown back by Robert's force, losing consciousness instantly.

"Molly!"

In a daze, Molly heard this one word before completely passing out.

In the emergency room, Robert, covered in blood, stood outside the door, motionless.

Doctors and nurses came and went, but he remained steadfast at the door.

Zack was also rushed to the hospital. Seeing Robert, he felt a pang of guilt. Knowing Robert couldn't let go, he cursed himself for involving Molly.

Wasn't it just a woman? As long as Robert could control himself, what did it matter?

Robert had suffered so much in his life; whatever he wanted, he deserved.

And even if Robert couldn't control himself in the end, wasn't Zack there? He would be the backup, to stop him.

As long as it wasn't absolutely necessary, Zack decided he would protect Molly's safety in the future, even if it was for Robert.

Standing behind Zack was Rosie. She was worried about Robert and had asked Zack to inform her of any news.

But how could Zack let her know that Robert had gone to save Molly?

Zack said nothing, and Rosie secretly followed him, discovering that Zack had come to the hospital.

Seeing Rosie, Zack's face changed. Just as he was about to stop her, Rosie brushed past him, quickly stepping forward to drape a coat over Robert.

"Robert, you..." Seeing Robert's face, Rosie couldn't finish her sentence.

Dirt and blood covered Robert's entire face like a painting, not just his face but his whole body was a mess.

It was the first time Rosie had seen Robert in such a disheveled state.

Her heart ached, but along with it rose a surge of jealousy.

How could Robert be so distraught over another woman?

Rosie was unhappy but didn't dare show it. She suppressed it and then said softly, "Robert, take care of your wounds. Your forehead..."

Rosie cried, "How did you hurt your forehead?"

Robert glanced at Rosie, seemingly just noticing her presence.

"What are you doing here?" He wasn't pleased to see her.

Rosie's heart sank, feeling very uncomfortable.

"Robert, I was worried about you," She said softly.

In her heart, she thought, so Robert left her without a word to find Molly.

Rosie felt a crack in her heart. She realized she might not be able to do it. She couldn't keep the promise to Robert to just stay in the marriage.

Rosie realized that Molly was like a thorn, like a tumor, deeply engraved in Robert's heart, impossible to remove.

"You're not needed here, go back," Robert said curtly.

"But I want to stay with you," Rosie said, feeling very wronged.

Rosie was also worried about Robert staying with Molly. Why should she, his fiancée, be left out?

"Rosie, go back," Robert's cold voice made Rosie's heart sink halfway.

She knew he was about to get angry. No matter how much dissatisfaction she had, she didn't dare speak, only whispering, "Okay, I'll go back first. Remember to take care of your wounds and rest."

It was as if Robert didn't hear Rosie's words.

With Molly being treated inside, he had no mood to care about Rosie's feelings.

Besides, he never cared about her.

Rosie saw it all. What she could endure before, she couldn't now because of Molly's involvement, even to the point of exploding at any moment.

Rosie clenched her fists, glanced at the closed door, her eyes dark, then turned and left.

Robert thought of something and instructed Zack, "Go back to the villa and check on Taylor. See if Isadora is giving him his medication on time."

Rosie, who hadn't gone far, stood behind the corner, hearing every word clearly.

Each word was like a dagger, stabbing into her heart.

Robert didn't care about her feelings at all but was deeply concerned about Molly's child, Taylor.

Rosie sadly realized that she couldn't compare to Molly, not even to Taylor.

When Zack came out, Rosie stepped out from the corner to stop him.
