Chapter 619 Falling Out
The guard was caught off guard, not expecting Kyle, who was usually so quiet, to have such a sharp edge.
He quickly bowed his head and apologized, "I'm sorry, ma'am."
Kyle naturally took Molly's hand and led her towards the ward.
The guards didn't dare say a word.
The Scotts had said that unrelated people weren't allowed to visit, but they also mentioned not to make Kyle angry; his mood was important.
Holding Molly's hand, Kyle asked as they entered the ward, "Have you been eating well?"
Then, he touched Molly's wrist, looking a bit distressed. "You seem to have lost weight."
He had worked so hard to help her gain weight.
Hearing that, Molly couldn't hold back her tears.
Kyle's concerns were always different from others; he only worried about her health, and he was the only one who could immediately and keenly sense her emotions.
"I have been eating," Molly lied to him.
She had eaten because Robert forced her to, and she also thought about moving on, so she forced herself to eat a little.
"Don't worry, we'll solve Taylor and Leah's issues together."
Molly was stunned, not expecting Kyle to know about Taylor and Leah's issues so quickly.
Kyle also had connections within the Scott family; an assistant by Rene's side had received his help.
The assistant's child had a strange illness that didn't get better for a long time, but he didn't dare to show it because he relied on Rene's salary and bonuses to pay for the child's treatment. But one time, Kyle overheard him on the phone and took the initiative to ask him about it.
Kyle introduced him to a doctor and suggested he take his child for a consultation.
After the assistant's child recovered, his view of Kyle changed.
Among the younger generation of the Scott family, only Kyle was the most promising. Although he was an illegitimate child, the assistant still left himself a way out in his heart.
After all, Kyle had really helped him, and even if Kyle didn't succeed in the future, the assistant wouldn't lose anything.
So, after returning this time, Kyle got a lot of information from the assistant.
Kyle looked at Molly, explaining her doubts, "Don't worry, I have people in the Scott family; they wouldn't dare to do anything to me."
Molly saw that his limbs were not very convenient, and there was a deep scar on his wrist, a sequela from when Rene had someone beat him.
Kyle might not care about his leg, but his hand was meant to save lives.
Molly couldn't bear to see his hand unable to lift heavy objects anymore and choked up. "Kyle, will you go for treatment?"
"Now is not the time," Kyle said lightly, not taking his injury to heart.
Kyle even pulled down his sleeve to cover the glaring scar, so Molly couldn't see it.
Molly's heart ached, and she spoke with difficulty, "Isn't now the last chance?"
Robert said that if Kyle missed this opportunity, it would be too late, and there would be no way to save it.
Robert mocked, wondering whether Kyle would stay and fight a futile battle or become a normal person.
Kyle knew he couldn't hide it from Molly, so he patted her head and comforted her, "It's not as serious as you think. I can still hold you."
He held her in his arms, his voice gentle. "Molly, I'm really happy that you worry about me."
Molly was held tightly by him, feeling his overwhelming warmth.
Kyle was like a little sun, continuously sending warmth to her.
But to him, she was actually a burden.
Kyle was an excellent doctor, and even without the Scott family, he could have had a good future.
Even if the Koch family hadn't sponsored him back then, the Scott family would have found him, and he would still be a Scott, inheriting a fortune that ordinary people couldn't reach.
No matter what kind of life Kyle encountered back then, it wouldn't have been too bad.
But he chose the hardest path, staying with Molly, and facing countless hardships together.
Whenever Molly wavered, Kyle would always keenly sense it. "Molly, you can't leave me. I will always follow you."
Hearing his words, Molly's eyes welled up with tears.
Love was never an equal process. One person would always give more than the other, but if giving made them happy and feel blessed, it was still a positive value output.
Molly just needed to respond to Kyle.
She raised her hand, ruffled his hair, and said, "I won't leave you. We'll get better together."
---
At the Scott Villa, Robert lounged on the couch, one leg propped up on the table, oozing arrogance.
"Mr. Scott, what did you say to me back then?" Robert's tone was dripping with displeasure.
Back then, he had shown mercy, knowing the Scott family's situation, and left Rene an heir.
Rene had been grateful, thanking him and promising to make Kyle leave Molly, no matter what it took.
But Robert wasn't acting out of kindness; he wasn't so benevolent as to care about whether someone else's family had an heir.
Robert just thought that rather than letting Kyle die and become someone Molly would forever remember, it would be better for them to part ways more decisively.
Seeing lovers turn against each other was the scene he wanted to see.
Robert couldn't let Kyle become someone Molly would always remember fondly.
Rene was unhappy with Robert's arrogance, but he could only endure it and bowed his head. "Mr. Perot, I did have someone watching Kyle, but when Ms. Koch came looking for him, I couldn't stop her. After all, we didn't raise Kyle ourselves, and he's a stranger to us. I can't offend him too much, can I?"
This was clearly an excuse.
Rene obviously didn't want to separate them anymore.
After all, as long as Kyle could give the Scott family a child, he didn't care what kind of woman Kyle liked.
He planned to arrange for several young and beautiful women to seduce Kyle, confident that he would be tempted.
Rene's main concern was to continue the Scott family lineage, and Kyle was just a tool for that in his eyes.
But now, with Kyle being the only tool left, Rene couldn't just watch the vast family fortune fall into the hands of others.
So now, anything concerning Kyle had to be handled with caution.
Robert sneered coldly. "Mr. Scott, that's not what you said when you begged me. If I had known, I would have let Kyle fend for himself."
Rene stroked his beard and smiled. "Mr. Perot, we are very grateful that you told us Kyle's whereabouts. Rest assured, we are not ungrateful people. If you need anything from the Scott family, we are at your service and will not be perfunctory."
Rene's words were very pleasant to hear. But in reality, it meant he was completely breaking his promise.
Rene clearly wouldn't take the initiative to interfere in Kyle's romantic affairs anymore.
Robert flung his hand, and the glass in his hand accurately smashed into the decorative vase behind Rene.
The vase, worth millions of dollars, shattered with a crash.
Rene's face turned very grim, but he held his breath and didn't speak.
He knew Robert was angry and could only let him vent.
Robert snapped, "Mr. Scott, do you think that now the Scott family has an heir, you can compete with me?"
Rene didn't dare to respond, feeling furious inside but still had to reply, "No, we certainly don't think that."
"I think you do!" Robert sneered coldly. "But since I could give you Kyle, I can also destroy him. Clearly, I have that ability now."
Rene shuddered. "Mr. Perot, you know that the Scott family now has only this one heir. Even if we have to use all the Scott family's resources, we will protect him."
Rene first stated his position, then smiled and said, "So please, Mr. Perot, don't say such hurtful things. We will continue to cooperate in the future. I promise you, in future business dealings with the Perot family, we will unconditionally offer concessions."
The Scott Group's current status was actually on par with the Perot Group.
But after the Scott family heir's car accident, the company's momentum had significantly declined, and everyone had their own agendas, all wanting to take a share of it.
Rene was well aware that many people were just waiting for him to die so they could carve up the Scott family.
He was getting old and was barely holding on, but seeing the previously inconspicuous Kyle had reignited his hope.
Therefore, until the task was completed, Rene wouldn't let anything harm Kyle's life.
Robert sneered coldly. "I'm afraid, Mr. Scott, that your wish for someone to inherit the family business may not come true."
