Chapter 135: Drunk

"Don't stress, parents can wait," he mumbled through a mouthful of food, but he was firm.

"What if Emma and Hugh don't want us together? Wouldn't all your efforts be wasted?" I joked, but I was genuinely worried.

Daniel and I had caused some tension. Our families were still friendly, but not as close as before.

What if Emma, to keep the peace, didn't approve of us?

My thing with Daniel was just a silly crush. It ended, no big deal.

But with Brad, it was serious. I couldn't just walk away.

Emma was against Daniel and Zoe and tried to set me up with him through Helen. I refused, but now I'm dating Daniel's brother, Brad. How would Emma feel?

"Are you worried?" He smiled, brushing my cheek. "Afraid you won't marry me?"

Who was afraid? I was just saying.

He was good at twisting things!

I was so embarrassed I couldn't look at him. I playfully punched his shoulder, "I'm young, what am I afraid of? You're twenty-eight. I'm worried you won't find a wife and get anxious."

"You're worried about me? Tell me, what am I anxious about?" Brad leaned in, making me so embarrassed I bit his fingertip. It didn't hurt him, but he laughed even more.

I was just covering my embarrassment.

"You're anxious. I'm young and beautiful, you must feel a crisis. I'm doing this for you."

"Are you looking for trouble? Watch how I deal with you."

We played around like kids. This happiness was new to me.

Brad loved and respected me. He never crossed the line without my permission. He always said he wanted a willing and content me.

As we played, I noticed something odd.

Brad's body was stiff, his face red.

To confirm, I glanced at his crotch.

He noticed. Embarrassed, he pressed me under his coat.

I was not that obedient.

I wriggled and pinched his waist.

Brad's hot hand gripped my waist, "Baby, be good, don't move. I can't take it."

I was too shocked to speak.

He bit my ear, covering my eyes with his hand, "I'm twenty-eight, baby. If I don't react with you in my arms, am I still a man?"

I pretended to be scared, but my heart was sweet.

Him holding back for twenty-eight years meant he saved his first time for me. He was faithful.

He endured so much without making me uncomfortable. This was the love I’d been waiting for.

I secretly gave him a thumbs up, thinking when he got a hundred, he would be my real boyfriend.

This was my secret, no one knew.

"Dinner's ready, come out and eat," Ronan shouted.

Brad tidied my hair, "Want to change clothes before going out?"

I shook my head.

We made such a ruckus; Ronan and Helen must've heard. Changing clothes would make it worse.

Dinner was tense. Helen and I were on edge.

Ronan kept pouring Brad drinks.

Brad knew it was a test, so he didn't refuse.

After the meal, Ronan and Brad were passed out drunk.

Helen took Ronan to his room.

I looked at Brad on the sofa, calling for Jane, feeling troubled.

Should I let him sleep on the sofa? That was not good. His house was just across the hall. Not going home wouldn't be right.

After discussing with Helen, we decided to send him back.

But Ronan was asleep, and it wasn't convenient for Helen. I felt awkward asking someone from Brad's house, so I had to take him back myself.

"Brad, I'm taking you home. I'm not strong, so please cooperate, okay? If you hear me, respond."

After a while, Brad responded.

"Okay, I'm helping you up. One, two, three."

Brad was heavy.

I put his arm over my shoulder, supporting his waist, and slowly walked to his house.

Helen knocked on the door across the hall.
