Chapter 316 Excitement
So, among the dudes I knew, there were plenty of lookers, each with their own kinda charm.
Eighteen-year-old Daniel? That guy got this natural swagger. Louis, who just got back to the Anderson fam, was all classy and stuff but kinda wishy-washy. Yancy got that young, wild energy, like a wolf on the down-low. And Lars, the guy who taught me knitting? He was so pretty he could pass for a girl.
But Brad? He's perfect.
Even though he was top-notch, Brad was super chill. Besides work and me, he didn't give a damn about much else.
Still, Brad's name pops up all the time on the confession wall. The ladies couldn't get enough of him.
When he just stood there in front of Crystal House, he was already a sight to see.
Inside, everyone except Adam and me went nuts. "Isn't that Mr. Pitt? He's so hot, I'm totally crushing on him."
"No way, I gotta remember this. If I get to draw someone in the competition, it's gonna be Mr. Pitt."
"He'd make an awesome model, for sure."
"Forget modeling, he should be an actor."
I was like, seriously?
Having such a killer boyfriend was cool, but it came with its own set of headaches.
Adam was so pissed at their over-the-top reactions to Brad that he was grinding his teeth.
"Mr. Pitt, what brings you here?" A blushing girl ran up to Brad, all excited.
Brad gave her a cold look, then his eyes softened when he saw me. He smiled and said, "I'm here to pick up my girlfriend."
"What, girlfriend!" The girl's face fell, and she pouted, "Mr. Pitt, you have a girlfriend? How can you have a girlfriend? Who is she?"
She started scanning the room, trying to figure out who Brad's girl was. I caught her looking all bummed out.
"Hey, Mr. Pitt's here for Jane," a boy shouted.
"Really, Mr. Pitt, is Jane your girlfriend?" The girl looked shocked, happy, and weirdly excited.
"Yep." Brad nodded and walked over to me at the door. He tucked my hair behind my ear and grabbed my hand. "I'm here to take my girlfriend to lunch."
Engaging in such intimate actions in front of the students would undoubtedly provoke their laughter.
My face went red, and I quietly asked him to back off, but Brad acted like he didn't hear and pulled me into his arms.
The students went wild, especially the girl who almost confessed to Brad. She was jumping up and down, tears of excitement in her eyes.
Did they really have to be so extra?
Thanks to their over-the-top welcome, Brad and I got roped into having lunch with them.
Everyone was super hyped. They talked about everything from space and geography to current events and whether the new dorms should have private bathrooms.
Brad and I couldn't get a word in, so we just sat there, nodding along.
Somehow, the convo shifted to Brad's birthday, and the lunch vibe went through the roof.
Everyone started throwing out ideas on how to celebrate, and in the end, they decided to deck out Crystal House and throw a bash for Brad's twenty-ninth birthday.
Brad tried to say no, but they weren't having it.
Adam wasn't super into it, but he played along. He didn't get mad, and even tossed in a few good suggestions during the chat.
