Chapter 154 Is This Considered Cheating?

Paige was all too familiar with the background in the photo. Wasn't this the place where she had lost her most precious first time on her first day out of prison?

She hadn't expect that upon his return to Northwind, Raymond would head straight to Windrain Tower.

Paige remembered that it was Louis who loved staying at Windrain Tower the most. She didn't expect Raymond would also stay there!

The protagonist in the photo looked quite carefree.

The young and beautiful female lead was bending over, stretching her neck, and kissing Raymond on the cheek.

Raymond even had a smile on his face.

Such a photo was simply glaring to Paige.

The more she looked at the photo, the more irrational she became.

She didn't know what went wrong, causing Raymond to come back a few days late, and the situation to change completely.

Yes, she admitted that it was somewhat unkind of her not to clearly state the purpose of taking him to Country M in advance.

But he had always been cooperative. Even in the dangerous depths of the snowy mountains, he insisted on letting Paige go first.

Even when she had proposed divorce multiple times before, Raymond clung to her like sticky candy, showing no intention of leaving or divorcing.

Why did he silently bring a woman back now?

He returned to Northwind but didn't come home, didn't report his safety, and didn't even answer her calls.

What was he trying to do?

Did he want a divorce?

He should just say it if that was the case!

She wasn't someone unreasonable, was she? What couldn't be said directly?

Paige looked at the photo, fuming with anger.

Beside her, Grace, who was leaning against the hospital bed, had a speech impediment but still noticed Paige's unusual emotions.

Grace reached out and tugged at Paige's clothes, softly calling out, "Ah... ah..."

Paige snapped back to reality and looked at her mother.

She forced a smile. "Mom, what's wrong? Do you want some water or something to eat?"

Grace shook her head slightly. "Ah... ah..." Her eyes were fixed on Paige's phone.

Paige smiled. "It's nothing. By the way, Mom, I invited Raymond's dad and Francesca over for dinner. I'll introduce them to you later."

Paige continued, "Bradley is great. I met him on my first day out of prison. He had a heart attack, and I happened to pass by and saved him. He liked me a lot and arranged my marriage with Raymond."

Grace called out twice, and Paige smiled. "They are all very good to me."

Grace said, "Ah... Xena... uh..."

Hearing Xena's name, Paige knew that her mother wanted to ask about her.

Paige told her everything without reservation. She had already woken up, and her body would gradually recover. Xena's situation would be known to her in the future.

However, when Xena was mentioned, Grace's emotions became somewhat agitated.

Paige didn't know if it was because Grace missed Xena too much.

Maybe, after waking up and mentioning Xena for the first time, Grace just wanted to see her.

However, Paige didn't really want them to meet too soon.

After all, Grace's current condition was partly Xena's fault.

If Xena hadn't pushed Grace, she wouldn't have fallen down the stairs and almost lost her life.

After hearing that Xena was still unmarried and hadn't fully taken over Sackler Group, Grace remained silent.

Paige couldn't fully guess what Grace was thinking, but she knew that, after all, they were mother and daughter, and Grace still cared about Xena.

Because Paige couldn't fully guess Grace's thoughts, every time Paige mentioned Xena, Grace would become extremely agitated, calling out several times.

Paige could only understand it as Grace being anxious to see Xena.

Paige was helpless. Although she didn't want Xena to meet Grace too soon, she had to respect Grace's wishes.

They had to meet!

But when and under what circumstances, that was up to Paige.

Paige was in a low mood today. After receiving such a photo, she couldn't muster the energy to do anything.

If it weren't for accompanying Grace, Paige might have already rushed to Windrain Tower.

However, she held her temper and didn't rush to find out what was going on with Raymond, why he suddenly had a woman by his side, and why he didn't come home or answer her calls after returning.

Maybe Raymond had some unspeakable difficulties.

The trip to Country M gave Paige new clues to things she had previously overlooked.

Raymond was not outside the clues of the secret funds; on the contrary, he was at the center of the clues.

Paige wanted to get more information, and she might be able to get it from Raymond.

After accompanying Grace in the evening, Paige unhesitatingly changed her clothes and went out.

After dressing up, Paige looked quite good.

She also wore the diamond necklace she brought from the house.

As soon as she walked out the door, Julian followed. "Xanthe, where are you going? Do you need someone to follow you?"

Paige replied, "No need. You all go about your business. I'm handling some personal matters, and none of you are allowed to follow."

If Raymond really was cheating, what would it look like if her subordinates saw it?

She didn't want to be embarrassed in front of them.

Paige drove out, familiar with the road to Windrain Tower. Although those memories made her feel somewhat guilty towards Raymond, the encounters between people were just so wonderful.

Paige didn't think much and drove all the way to Windrain Tower. When she arrived, she found out that Louis had also been staying there recently.

It seemed as if Louis had predicted Paige would come. As soon as she walked into the lobby, Louis saw her and got up from the sofa.

"Paige," Louis called out and walked straight towards her.

Paige asked, "Louis? What are you doing here?"

Louis replied, "I was waiting for you."

Paige frowned and immediately reacted, "You sent me the photo?"

Louis didn't answer or deny Paige's question.

Paige understood.

The photo was indeed sent by Louis.

"I don't want you interfering in my affairs, do you understand?"

Paige looked at Louis. No matter who the woman Raymond brought back was or what their relationship was, it was a private matter between her and him.

Louis was a junior, and his involvement would complicate things.

The thought of juniors watching their elders argue made her feel ashamed.

Louis didn't say much, just listened to Paige.

But Louis knew why Paige was there. Since she came after receiving the photo, it showed she cared about the matter.

Since she didn't need Louis to do anything for her, he wouldn't interfere.

So, Louis nodded and waved to the receptionist.

The receptionist respectfully handed Louis a card, "Mr. Carnegie."

Louis took the card and handed it to Paige, "This is Uncle's room key."
