Chapter 402 Summon Everyone to Stand By

Raymond was confused. "Looking for me? Here?"

Charles nodded, his eyes warily glancing towards Paige.

Paige keenly caught Charles' look. "What's wrong? Is it not convenient for me to listen?"

Charles immediately waved his hand. "No, Mrs. Carnegie, I'm just afraid you won't be happy hearing this."

Paige said, "What could make me more unhappy than I am now? Go ahead."

Charles took a deep breath. "It's Mrs. Francesca Carnegie. She said she wants to see Mr. Carnegie."

Upon hearing it was Francesca, Paige turned and walked out of the study. "Pearl, I'm hungry. Is breakfast ready in the kitchen?"

She didn't want to see Francesca, nor did she want to hear anything about her.

In hindsight, she shouldn't have asked Charles.

Hearing Francesca's name somewhat affected her appetite.

Raymond knew that this pain was something Paige might never heal from.

Raymond said, "I'll go out to see her. This is Paige's place; it's not convenient to let her in."

Charles nodded. "Mr. Carnegie, she's right at the front door."

Raymond nodded slightly, put down what he was holding, and went out first.

Outside, Francesca looked very anxious, pacing back and forth. Raymond quickly walked over. Francesca, seeing Raymond come out alone, looked deeply behind him.

Raymond said, "No need to look, I came out to see you myself."

Francesca said, "You came out yourself, meaning I don't even have the right to step inside, is it?"

Raymond replied, "You wanted to see me, right? Just say what you need to say."

Francesca said, "I still want to have a good talk with Paige."

Raymond said, "She won't acknowledge you."

Francesca insisted, "What if I tell her the truth?"

Raymond shook his head. "I don't want you to hurt her any further. She's already been hurt too much. She has other important things to do today. Pick another time."

Perhaps if Francesca were willing to explain her difficulties, Paige might be willing to listen.

But now was not the right time.

At six in the evening, the Universe Group's banquet would start, and there was still no direct and effective way to resolve the huge crisis.

Not just Paige, even Raymond was betting on this.

At this moment, even if Francesca wanted to explain something, Paige wouldn't be in the mood to listen.

Francesca said, "No, I need to see her now. Raymond, please tell her I need to see her, right now."

Raymond frowned. "I thought, even if you had no feelings for her, you would at least have some humanity. At least you could do it for Louis, why do you have to be so cruel to her? I've already told you, she's not in the mood to talk to you today. Or you can briefly explain to me, and I'll pass it on to her."

Francesca grabbed Raymond's arm. "It's extremely important. Didn't you give her the information about her father's car accident? I can't let her continue to misunderstand that I'm the one who harmed her father."

Raymond said, "Alright, I'll pass it on to her. Besides, is her father really dead?"

Raymond's words left Francesca suddenly stunned, her pupils dilating. "What did you say? I don't understand."

Francesca was momentarily at a loss for words.

Raymond wasn't surprised to see her panic. "What did I say? Shouldn't you be the one who knows best? By the way, let me tell you, Paige caught a man, mistaking him for Steven. Tonight, if Margaret betrays Paige, she might kill that man to let Margaret taste the feeling of loss."

Raymond's words left Francesca speechless with shock.

Her mouth twitched, but no sound came out.

Just as Francesca was about to release her grip on Raymond's arm, she suddenly tightened her hold. "Who did Paige catch?"

Raymond replied, "A disfigured man."

As Raymond finished speaking, Francesca's hand went limp, releasing Raymond's arm.

Francesca's breathing grew heavier, and she unconsciously took two steps back. If it weren't for the attentive person supporting her, she might have fallen.

Raymond, seeing Francesca in this state, didn't intend to say anything.

He casually instructed the person beside Francesca. "Take Francesca back."

With that, Raymond turned and left.

Francesca, like a puppet, was helped into the car by the person beside her. The car drove back to her residence. After getting out, Francesca rushed into the house like a madwoman.

She ran ahead, with the servants following behind. "Mrs. Carnegie, Mrs. Carnegie, slow down."

Francesca asked, "Where is he? Where is he?"

The servants, hearing Francesca's voice, didn't know who she was looking for. It wasn't until she rushed into Rodolfo's room that someone said, "Mr. McCoy had something to do yesterday and hasn't returned yet."

Francesca said, "Where did he go? Where did he go? I told you to contact him last night. Why didn't you inform me immediately when you couldn't reach him?"

Francesca, like a madwoman, vented her anger, then made several more calls in a fit of rage.

She locked herself in the room, the sound of things being smashed coming from inside, but no one outside dared to go in.

Everyone was anxious. "When will Mr. McCoy return? Leave him a message quickly, saying Mrs. Carnegie is smashing things again."

Francesca smashed everything in the room, but this time, no one came to help her clean up the mess.

After a long time, the room finally quieted down.

Everyone understood that everything that could be smashed had been smashed, so it was quiet.

After a while, the servants outside didn't dare to leave until the door to the room opened.

Francesca's hand was still bleeding, she slowly lifted her head, her eyes bloodshot.

She spoke softly, "Is the latest custom dress arriving today?"

The maid in charge of the wardrobe immediately replied, "Yes, Mrs. Carnegie, it should be arriving soon."

Francesca looked at the small piece of glass embedded in her hand, blood continuously oozing from the wound. She gave a mad smile. "Then let my fitting model try it on. Prepare the most expensive dress for me. And the jewelry, go to the safe and bring the largest black box to the dressing room. Tonight, I have a very important banquet to attend. Find the best makeup artist to design my look for tonight. Whether it's the dress, jewelry, or makeup, nothing is allowed to go wrong tonight, understand?"

All the servants immediately responded.

Francesca walked out of the room herself, and the bodyguard quickly called for the family doctor, but Francesca shot him a killing look. "You handle my wound, no need to call the doctor."

The bodyguard nodded, quickly grabbing the first aid kit and following Francesca.

After walking a distance, Francesca lowered her voice, "Summon all the bodyguards and assassins, be ready at any time tonight!"
