Chapter 394 Is Your Last Name Sackler or Carnegie?

"Is it possible for the mask to be lost? This is simply an unforgivable mistake!" Paige thought to herself.

While Paige was holding her forehead in thought, Raymond suddenly turned and rushed into the room where the disfigured man was held.

He walked up and grabbed the disfigured man's collar.

The disfigured man seemed equally shocked. Raymond had already left, why did he come back? Was he planning to torture him?

The disfigured man, who was tied up, was easily lifted by Raymond by his collar.

Raymond stood close to the disfigured man, looking into his eyes at close range, and asked sternly. "Are you sure you haven't seen me before?"

The disfigured man seemed equally angry at being grabbed like this. "Mr. Carnegie, should I have seen you before?"

Raymond seemed unwilling to give up. As soon as he let go of the disfigured man, he reached out to unbutton the man's shirt.

The bodyguards around, seeing Raymond unbuttoning the disfigured man's shirt, all widened their eyes.

Even Paige, who had caught up, was stunned by Raymond's actions and stood there in shock.

Charles slapped his thigh. "Mr. Carnegie, you..."

Before he could finish, Raymond snapped, "Shut up."

Charles immediately shut his mouth obediently.

Raymond seemed to think unbuttoning was too slow, so he forcefully tore the man's shirt open. He pulled up the man's sleeve but didn't see the mark he was looking for in the remembered spot.

The light in Raymond's eyes gradually dimmed.

Paige walked up and asked. "What's wrong?"

Raymond replied, "Nothing!"

Paige sensed that something was off with Raymond's emotions.

But the disfigured man mocked, "Mr. Carnegie, what are you looking for on me? You don't think the map is tattooed on me, do you?"

Raymond didn't directly answer the disfigured man's question but turned and walked out.

Paige hurriedly followed and threw a sentence to Charles. "Button him up."

The man still needed to be tied up, after all, his abilities were quite extraordinary.

A person involved with the missing mask from the tech department, who clearly knew he wasn't from the Ellison family, and held so many clues and maps.

Any one of these three conditions was enough reason for Paige to investigate his identity.

Maybe, they could even solve the Andrew problem along the way!

Paige, chasing after Raymond, asked, "What was that about? Is there a familiar mark on him that you need to confirm?"

Raymond was in a hurry. "I need to go back and check some things personally. I might not be able to stay with you. Have Julian keep a close watch on that man, don't let him escape. Keep people around you too, be careful when I'm not around."

Although Paige didn't know what Raymond needed to check, he was going to look up information and didn't have an exact answer yet, so Paige didn't ask further. "Don't worry, Julian will guard the man, and I have Selene with me. She's a girl, so it's more convenient for her to follow me around."

Raymond nodded. He had a premonition that even if the disfigured man was very capable, he would at most try to escape and definitely wouldn't harm Paige.

He had things to verify and had to go back.

It wasn't convenient to bring the man back to the Carnegie Estate; it was more suitable to keep him at the Ellison Villa.

Raymond hurriedly left, and Pearl brought over some documents. "Ms. Ellison, these are the documents about the mask that went missing eighteen years ago."

Paige took them and carefully read through them.

Eighteen years ago, the tech department recruited the first batch of volunteers at a high price to test the product.

Fearing the technology would be coveted and stolen, the tech department specifically chose volunteers from areas far from the Hamilton family and the Russell family.

They finally settled on a small village in Quorinthus Northwind.

They found volunteers there, and the testing went smoothly. Just as the tech department was preparing to take the mask back to Arcadia, a serious car accident occurred in Northwind.

The car was destroyed, and everyone died. The mask was lost, and the tech department had to handle the aftermath in Northwind.

The first batch of finished products was lost in an accident, which left a shameful record in the tech department's files.

After carefully reading, Paige looked at the accident scene photos and found them increasingly strange.

"Pearl, look at these photos." Paige handed the photos to Pearl.

Pearl looked at them. "Why do these accident scene photos look a bit strange?"

Paige also noticed something odd about the photos but couldn't pinpoint what it was.

Suddenly, Paige said, "Take the photos to Cecil and have him analyze them. Hurry up, I can't wait for the answer."

Pearl nodded and immediately took the photos to find Cecil.

Cecil had been living in the villa, so it was quick to get the photos analyzed by him.

Such a simple analysis was as easy as daily routines for Cecil.

In less than 15 minutes, Cecil had sent the analysis results to Paige.

Paige was stunned after seeing the analysis.

When Pearl brought the photos over, she paid special attention to Paige's expression.

However, Pearl was puzzled as to why Paige's face turned so pale after seeing the analysis results.

Pearl asked, "Ms. Ellison, are you okay?"

Paige replied, "I need to see that man alone."

Pearl asked, "The man we captured? Ms. Ellison, that man has extraordinary combat skills."

Paige said, "Although I'm not sure who he is, I believe he won't harm me. After I go in, tell Julian to surround the house inside and out. No matter who he is, he must not escape. He is still useful to me!"

Pearl had also seen the analysis just now. The tech department's car accident scene had been tampered with and could be staged.

But Paige's reaction was still puzzling to Pearl.

Although she didn't understand, Pearl immediately responded, "Yes."

Paige took all the documents and walked into the house.

Julian stood up to speak as Paige entered again.

But Paige spoke first, not giving him a chance to talk. "Julian, take everyone out. I need to speak with him alone."

Julian hesitated, "Ms. Ellison, he..."

Paige interrupted, "No more talking, just go out."

Julian reluctantly checked the ropes binding the disfigured man and then left with his subordinates.

After the door closed, Paige walked up and tried to pull the disfigured man's hair, but he quickly dodged, looking at Paige with a particularly surprised expression.

On his disfigured face, his eyes showed panic and fear.

Paige suddenly let out a mocking laugh. "You dodged faster than when I caught you. Now that you're in my hands, finding out who you are is very simple! Now, tell me, is your last name Sackler or Carnegie?"
