Chapter 359 It Feels Like Someone Is Watching Us

As a single person, suddenly being discriminatedagainst, Charles thought, 'Being single is fine, it's better than Mr. Raymond's lovesick look, right?'

Raymond returned to his room and headed straight for the walk-in closet.

In the massive walk-in closet, which spanned dozens of square feet, there were three large wardrobes against the walls. To the left of the entrance was an entire wall of bags and jewelry.

All of them were top-tier luxury limited edition bags and jewelry, clearly prepared for Paige.

Opposite the bags and jewelry was another wall of women's clothing, ranging from high-end custom dresses to business attire, casual wear, and even pajamas and bathrobes, all meticulously prepared.

The servants had neatly arranged and hung everything in sections, with all the clothing tags facing outward.

It was obvious that these were newly prepared clothes.

The remaining wall was Raymond's men's section, which also included clothes, accessories, watches, etc., but it was less than half of what was prepared for Paige!

The floor of the walk-in closet was covered with a soft wool carpet, and in the middle was a large full-length mirror and a sofa.

This was also Charles's first time in this room.

After seeing the layout, Charles couldn't help but laugh.

What used to be Raymond's exclusive walk-in closet had been changed, and the family hierarchy was evident.

Charles asked, "Mr. Carnegie, you've already set up the walk-in closet for Mrs. Carnegie. Are you sure Mrs. Carnegie will like it?"

Raymond glanced at Charles. "How about you stop calling yourself Charles and change your name to 'Shut Up'?"

Charles quickly made a zipping motion at his mouth, indicating he would be quiet.

Raymond picked out a suit and hung it aside, then his gaze fell on the clothes prepared for Paige.

Although he could imagine what Paige would look like in those clothes, or even without them, he also knew that for tonight's party, Pearl would definitely prepare the most suitable dress.

The clothes prepared here wouldn't be needed tonight.

However, the thought of seeing Paige made all of Raymond's resentment disappear.

It didn't matter if Paige wasn't wearing the high-end custom dress he had chosen; what mattered was that if the opportunity was right, he needed to seize the chance to explain his identity clearly.

Thinking back to when he and Paige got married, how did he mock Louis?

He insisted on using Uncle Raymond's status to bully Louis, making Louis call Paige Aunt Paige.

Now, Louis's status had nothing to do with the Carnegie family, but Paige was the one who belonged to the Carnegie family.

It was a bit like shooting yourself in the foot.

But there was no chance to explain!

Raymond prepared everything and, before heading to the party, personally went to the kitchen to pack some soup to take along.

On the other side, Paige left work early in the afternoon to prepare at home.

While matching clothes in the walk-in closet, Pearl reminded Paige as she selected outfits. "Ms. Ellison, at such high-society parties, Mr. Carnegie might also attend. Are we sure we really want to go?"

Paige responded, "Pearl, I can't hide forever just to avoid him, can I? There are so many things I need to do that aren't finished yet. Can I keep hiding?"

Pearl asked, "Ms. Ellison, have you thought about what to do if you see him?"

Paige replied, "Don't see him! Tell Julian that if Raymond does show up, try to keep us apart."

Pearl took a deep breath. It seemed that to avoid any accidents, she should give Raymond a heads-up.

No matter how much she missed him, it was better to stay hidden and just take a few glances from afar, without any contact.

After all these days, it had been hard to control her emotions and feel a bit better. She didn't want to risk being heartbroken again if they met.

Pearl knew what to do, and Paige felt reassured.

Tonight's party was part of her plan. If she didn't show up, would she waste such a good opportunity?

More importantly, if the person she was looking for appeared at the party, Lily might be able to recognize them.

This was the main reason Paige was willing to attend the party despite the trouble.

Not daring to think too much about what it would be like if they accidentally met, Paige refocused her thoughts.

Attending a high-society gathering in Arcadia officially marked her debut.

So tonight's makeup and attire were not to be overlooked.

Although she was pregnant, it was still early, and her figure hadn't changed at all.

She could still wear those beautiful dresses that highlighted her good figure.

Pearl knew this well, so she chose high-end custom dresses that suited Paige perfectly.

For accessories, she selected a set of highly collectible rubies.

After finishing her makeup and hair, the ruby necklace around Paige's neck made her look even more exquisite and beautiful.

"Truly beautiful, this set of rubies seems to have found its true owner." Pearl stood beside her, looking at Paige in the mirror.

She couldn't help but marvel at how enviable this beauty was.

Paige gently touched the large ruby embedded in the pendant and smiled faintly. "Tonight, most of the women will probably be wearing diamonds. Let's choose something different that will make us stand out!"

Pearl said, "Even without the jewelry, Ms. Ellison, you would still be the most striking presence in the crowd."

Looking at herself in the mirror, Paige suddenly missed Amelia.

She said, "Since I'm attending a formal party, I can't hide my whereabouts anymore. Let's bring Amelia over. She's probably having a hard time at home, being pressured to get married."

Pearl's eyes lit up. Amelia was smart, outgoing, and lively.

Pearl liked Amelia very much because she was beautiful, intelligent, and loyal.

After all, when Amelia was around, she would actively help Pearl with some small tasks.

Pearl replied, "Alright, she'll be thrilled to hear this news."

Paige said, "Send a private jet to pick her up."

Pearl nodded, "Okay."

After getting ready, the group headed to the Morgan family's party.

When Paige's car stopped outside the Morgan Manor, a car that had arrived earlier quietly rolled down its window. However, the person inside only peeked out with their eyes, not daring to reveal any other part of their body.

As Paige got out of the car, someone from the Morgan family warmly came up to greet her.

Paige's gaze casually swept towards the parked car.

Pearl also glanced in that direction.

Pearl said in a low voice, "Ms. Ellison, why do I feel like there's a pair of eyes staring at us from behind?"
