Chapter 169 Raymond is so Sweet.

Xena spotted the dude across the street making a beeline for the club's main entrance. She ducked behind a corner and started snapping pics like a paparazzo.

While she was at it, she muttered, "No wonder you wanted a divorce, Paige. You're so pathetic, you couldn't even keep a disabled guy from cheating on you."

Once the guy passed by, Xena stepped out and checked out the photos she just took. She couldn't help but laugh.

She edited the pics and sent them all to Paige in one go.

To send these photos to Paige, she even went through the hassle of unblocking her.

Finally, she added a message: [No wonder you wanted a divorce; turns out your hubby's cheating. Paige, you're really pitiful.]

Paige was at work when her phone buzzed. She saw it was from Xena and opened the message, curious. Xena's taunts and a photo of a young girl pushing Raymond in a wheelchair greeted her.

Paige smirked. Xena must be over the moon to have caught them.

She casually put her phone down and got back to work.

Xena saw that the message had been read, but even after getting into her car, there was no reaction from Paige.

Finally, she couldn't resist calling.

Paige knew Xena wouldn't miss a chance to mock her.

She was about to hang up when Pearl came in with coffee.

Glancing at Paige's caller ID, Pearl chuckled. "She actually dares to call you?"

Paige replied, "Why wouldn't she? She's calling right now, isn't she?"

With that, Paige put the call on speaker.

Paige sipped her coffee and listened to Xena ranting on the other end. "Paige, wanna know where your hubby is with his side chick right now? Beg me, and I'll spill."

Paige stayed chill, continuing to drink her coffee.

But Pearl, overhearing this, burst out laughing.

Paige remained unfazed. "You interested in the guy I dumped, Xena? Looks like it. You always go after what I don't want. How's it going with Louis? The engagement fall through, right? Now you're after Raymond? See for yourself; you're not even as hot as I am. How can you compete with the young, pretty girls around Raymond? They must be purer than you, right?"

Paige's words hit Xena right where it hurt.

At that moment, the word "purer" was especially grating.

Before Paige could say anything more, Xena, fuming, hung up the phone.

Holding the phone with the busy signal still ringing, Paige said, "I don't think that counts as bullying, right?"

Pearl laughed. "Poor you."

Paige said, "Raymond is not only showing off but doing it right in front of Xena. What does he want? For everyone at Northwind to see?"

Pearl didn't dare continue the conversation. She never really understood the relationship between Paige and Raymond.

They said they were going through a divorce, but it didn't seem very serious.

Now, it seemed like everyone was freaking out except the people involved, who acted like everything was peachy. Their attitude was solid, but their actions were all over the place.

Pearl wanted to do something but didn't dare move an inch.

At the club, Raymond and Lily were definitely turning heads.

Raymond had never brought a girl with him before, so when they walked in, all eyes were on them.

Lily smiled slightly and said softly, "Raymond, a lot of people are staring at me."

Next to her, Charles quickly said, "They're just jealous. Raymond never lets any woman get close to him."

Lily looked at Charles. "Not even Paige?"

Charles fell silent, realizing he had said too much.

Raymond continued, "She's super busy and doesn't have time to hang out with me."

Lily's smile deepened. "Raymond, you're amazing. I don't know how many women would kill to be by your side. Paige has no taste. She only knows how to work and doesn't know how to be with her husband. Raymond, I'll make sure to spend more time with you in the future; don't worry."

Raymond looked up, a faint smile flashing across his face.

Lily had been by Raymond's side every day recently, seeing that Raymond completely ignored Paige, and Paige had started the divorce process. She was in a good mood.

In the past few days, Raymond had taken her to try many of Northwind's delicacies and even brought her out to have fun today.

Lily was now just waiting for Raymond and Paige to finalize their divorce so she could immediately become Mrs. Carnegie.

Regardless of whether Raymond was disabled or had control over the Carnegie family, Raymond was handsome enough.

Moreover, he was an important key.

Lily understood the importance of securing this key.

Raymond asked, "Which private room is Louis in?"

Charles replied, "Louis has a regular private room here. Do you want to see him?"

Raymond said, "Yeah, introduce him to Lily. The Carnegie family is in Louis's hands, and maybe they can find some opportunities to collaborate. When we become family, it'll be easier to get along."

Hearing Raymond's consideration for her, Lily was overjoyed.

"Raymond is so good, always thinking about me. But Raymond, I don't handle the Morgan family business. My brother does. Should I call him over?"

Raymond asked, "Is he available to come?"

Lily replied, "Of course, he dotes on me. If I ask him to come, he'll make time even if he's busy."

With that, Lily handed the wheelchair to Charles and happily went aside to make a call.

Watching Lily walk away, Raymond frowned and said angrily in a low voice, "Someone was taking pictures when we got out of the car in the parking lot. Check the surveillance and find out who it was. If they spread the news, they can be exempt from punishment. But if anyone dares to gossip in front of my wife, make sure they learn a lesson!"

Charles gasped and replied in a low voice, "Yes, sir."
