Chapter 360 How Did She Come to the Party?

Not only did Pearl have this feeling, but Paige also felt a pair of eyes watching her from behind.

However, she couldn't be sure who exactly was watching her.

Paige said, "Ignore it, just remember our most important task today."

Pearl nodded, following Paige and greeting the members of the Morgan family who came to meet them.

The Morgan family had arranged for people to greet guests outside.

However, as soon as Paige's car stopped, the head of the Morgan family, Dylan Morgan, came out to greet them.

Dylan was a slightly overweight middle-aged man in his fifties, with a beaming smile as he warmly approached Paige. "Ms. Ellison, it's a pleasure to meet you finally."

Paige extended her hand, and Dylan, in a gentlemanly manner, gave her a hand-kiss.

Paige also wore a gentle smile. "Mr. Morgan, thank you for the trouble today."

Dylan respectfully invited Paige and her party into the venue, saying, "Hosting this event for Ms. Ellison is an honor for the Morgan family. We still owe Ms. Ellison for her leniency regarding the last incident."

"The last incident? I've already forgotten about it." Paige smiled, having resolved the issue where Lily and Oliver conspired to seduce Raymond.

Although the Morgan family was also a victim, they were dragged into the trap by Lily and her accomplices.

The Universe Group and the Ellison family were not entities the Morgan family could afford to offend.

Dylan feared Paige might take action against them, so when Paige suggested they host a party to lure certain individuals with clues about secret funds, Dylan agreed without hesitation.

He even agreed to give Lily a status to temporarily ensure her safety.

Paige's cleverness was evident; by claiming she had forgotten the past incident, she gave Dylan a reassuring answer.

Paige and her party followed Dylan into the venue, leaving behind the feeling of being watched.

It was only after they had moved on that Raymond stepped out of the car.

Raymond, dressed in a sharp suit with a rose in his pocket, exuded an air of nobility and elegance.

With such a demeanor, he straightened his clothes after getting out of the car and immediately took out a thermos box.

An exceptionally handsome and elite man carrying a thermos box, typically seen with ordinary men, created a stark contrast.

Charles couldn't help but intervene, "Mr. Carnegie, let me carry that. The thermos box doesn't suit your image."

Raymond, puzzled, asked, "Doesn't suit my image? I'm bringing nutritious food for Paige. How is that inappropriate?"

Charles thought for a moment and said, "The thermos box doesn't match your attire, Mr. Carnegie."

Raymond gave Charles a puzzled look, as if suspecting Charles wanted to steal his soup.

Charles sighed, "Fine, Mr. Carnegie, you carry it yourself."

He wasn't someone who hadn't had soup before; Mr. Carnegie's look was almost insulting.

Besides, was he the type to steal a sip?

Charles had his own tasks to attend to. Mr. Carnegie had instructed him to avoid Mrs. Carnegie initially and not to seek her out immediately, as it could cause problems.

Charles needed to constantly observe the surroundings; even a reunion required tact.

If mishandled, the situation could turn bad, and if Paige got emotional, it would be a big problem.

Raymond, carrying the thermos box, entered the venue with Charles.

Charles kept a close eye on Paige's situation, constantly communicating with Pearl via his phone.

When Paige entered the venue, all eyes turned to her because Dylan personally greeted her.

Dylan whispered to Paige, "Ms. Ellison, it seems everyone is very interested in you."

Paige smiled gracefully, "Maybe once they know who I am, they won't be as interested."

Dylan replied, "Then it will be out of respect."

In Arcadia, the Universe Group held a significant position.

The guests at this event were of similar status to the Morgan family.

But the Morgan family couldn't compare to the Universe Group and the other two prominent families still in existence.

After leading Paige and her party inside, Dylan stayed by their side.

Soon, many people were eager to meet Paige approached.

The atmosphere became very congenial.

The titles of global CEO of the Universe Group and heir to the Ellison family were enough to impress everyone present.

Paige's mind, however, wasn't on socializing.

She had Dylan spread the word about the secret funds.

Of course, it wasn't openly announced but hinted at subtly.

Only those aware of such a vast secret fortune would pay attention.

Paige aimed to uncover the benefactor behind Lily. Given that person's status, they would surely receive Dylan's invitation.

As the guests gradually arrived, Lily appeared at the last moment.

Dylan cooperated by introducing Lily to the guests.

Paige finally had a moment to sit and rest.

Raymond, meanwhile, had gone to the second floor of the Morgan family residence, overlooking the entire venue.

Naturally, he observed Paige's every move and gesture.

Having not seen her for many days, Raymond was already consumed with longing.

Even though he could see her now, he still hadn't found the right opportunity to meet her alone, which was a torment for him.

Charles understood Mr. Carnegie's thoughts, so he coordinated with Pearl to try and get Paige alone.

After making arrangements, Charles quickly informed Raymond, "Mr. Carnegie, Pearl will soon accompany Mrs. Carnegie to the restroom. Perhaps you should..."

Before Charles could finish, Raymond was already heading towards the restroom.

On the other side, Paige was about to get up to go to the restroom.

But as she stood up, a few people entered from outside, and the person leading them was someone Paige really didn't want to see.

Paige frowned and her face darkened, "Why is she here?"

Pearl, wide-eyed, said, "Her name wasn't on the Morgan family's guest list. How could she..."

Before Pearl could finish, Paige's mind flashed back to something Lily had said.
