Chapter 226 Cast into Hell

Xena yelled, "That's enough!" and shoved Margaret's hand away with a force that left a scratch.

Margaret, who always thought of Xena as gentle and obedient, was stunned by this sudden change. The scratch on her hand showed just how hard Xena had pushed her.

Margaret's confidence suddenly crumbled, as if Xena had snuffed out the last glimmer of hope in her heart. She looked at Xena, almost in tears, and started, "Xena, I..."

But Xena wasn't about to let her finish. "Don't call me that," Xena snapped. "We have no blood relation—never did, never will. All your efforts on me were pointless!"

Margaret collapsed, and if it weren't for members of the Trump family holding her up, she would've hit the ground. Unable to handle the situation, Margaret reached out to Xena, weakly calling, "Xena, Xena."

Xena turned away, refusing to look at her. "I told you, don't call me that. Didn't Paige already show the test results? It's the truth. Go ahead, call the cops on me!"

Xena knew she was cornered. She wasn't the Sackler family's heir and had transferred forty million dollars of their funds. Paige had let her be for a few days, only to trap her and bring her here to send her to jail.

Margaret was heartbroken, unable to say a word. Paige and her team watched the scene unfold, savoring every moment.

For years, Margaret had cared for Xena, treating her like a precious gem. She had hurt Paige and Luna for Xena's sake, even risking Paige's life. Now, Paige wasn't going to miss out on this show.

With Margaret silent, Xena didn't know when the sword hanging over her head would drop and end her life. But since it hadn't yet, she turned her gaze to Paige. "Happy now, Paige? This is what you wanted, right? To send me to hell so you can look down on me. But let me tell you, even so, I'm still better than you. I was the Sackler family's heir for years.''

''And you? Have you forgotten how the Sackler family abandoned and tormented you? I, the fake heir, lived in luxury while you slaved away on a farm, living in the worst conditions and eating the worst food. I still won all these years, taking the life you wanted, taking your mother, taking your family. Even if I end up in hell today, I'm still better than you." Xena's emotions were spiraling out of control as she screamed and mocked Paige.

She was right. No matter what happened today—whether Xena got kicked out of the Sackler family or Margaret called the cops—Xena had already lived a cushy life as the Sackler heir for decades.

Paige didn't care about the Sackler family's fancy lifestyle. But one thing really got to her: Luna. Paige's face darkened, and her gaze towards Xena grew sharper. "If you hadn't brought it up, I almost forgot. Xena, you dared to steal Luna's motherly love and even pushed her down the stairs, nearly killing her. Even if you died a thousand times, it wouldn't make up for your sins."

Paige was so furious she wanted to end Xena right then and there. But Raymond kept a gentle hold on her waist, ready to stop her if she made a move. Killing Xena wasn't a big deal, but Paige's clean, beautiful hands shouldn't be stained with her blood.

Amelia gasped. "Even now, Xena, you still don't know when to shut up and dare to speak arrogantly."

Pearl added, "No wonder you refused to be a match for Mrs. Parker back then. Not her biological daughter, even if you did the test, it wouldn't work. You were pretty smart, not doing the test to avoid revealing your identity, huh?"

Xena had nothing left to lose. She knew Luna was Paige's biggest weak spot, so she kept poking at it. "Of course, I knew I wasn't the real Sackler heir. Do you know why I pushed her down the stairs? Because she found out my identity and my biological parents. She discovered my big secret, so how could I let her live?''

Xena continued, ''But look, Paige, I was still kind. I gave her a chance to live. If it weren't for me, she wouldn't have survived. I thought she would die after falling down the stairs, but she survived with a strong will. If she woke up, my happy life would end.''

''Even so, I didn't kill her. Instead, I let your grandmother, Margaret, extend her life. Let me tell you, I suggested to Margaret that if we kept Luna in a coma, we could use her to threaten you in the future.''

''After all, if you got out of prison and found your mom dead, you would definitely come after us. You know what? Margaret was so worried about you, an illegitimate child, causing trouble that she seriously considered my suggestion.''

''We found a lab abroad and got custom-made drugs for your mom. It cost a lot, but it worked. After the injection, Luna fell into a deep sleep like Sleeping Beauty. She had no chance to reveal the truth.''

''I was worried she would wake up, but it was unnecessary. She woke up but couldn't speak, almost like a dead person. Now it's even better; with acute kidney failure, she won't live much longer. Oh no, you found a matching kidney. Louis is such an idiot!"As Xena said this, footsteps approached from a distance.
