Chapter 324 Mr. Carnegie, Mrs. Carnegie Had a Car Accident
As soon as Francesca said this, Raymond didn't respond but made a phone call.
After the call connected, Raymond ordered, "Once the lab door opens, your only task is to stop Francesca!"
As soon as Raymond said this, everyone's eyes turned to him.
Francesca propped herself up from the ground, leaning against the door, and said, "Raymond, what do you mean? Paige's identity is already clear. Are you still not going to let her go? Your relationship is already a mistake. Do you want to continue this mistake?"
Francesca looked at Raymond with tears in her eyes, unable to bear the consequences.
Judging by Paige's actions when she ran out, it was clear that Paige also couldn't bear the outcome.
Meanwhile, Cecil had already rushed over to open the door.
Seeing Cecil, everyone breathed a slight sigh of relief. Outside the lab, the bodyguards of both Raymond and Francesca were already stationed.
Leading Raymond's team was a new face, a tall man with a stern look and a noticeable scar in the middle of his left eyebrow, splitting it into two parts, which made him look even more intimidating.
His presence indicated that something significant had happened to Raymond.
Cecil didn't disappoint everyone and unlocked the door in a few minutes. Once the door opened, Francesca immediately ordered, "Now, go chase Ms. Ellison's car, right away!"
As she spoke, Francesca glanced at Raymond.
But before she could finish her sentence, the tall scar-faced man stopped her.
The scar-faced man's subordinates, without a word, efficiently blocked Francesca.
Seeing that her subordinates were clearly no match for these people, Francesca immediately turned to Raymond and said, "I need to make sure Paige is safe!"
Raymond gave the scar-faced man a look, and he understood Raymond's intention.
Raymond strode forward, eventually breaking into a run.
In his ear, the Bluetooth headset relayed Charles's constant updates on Paige's car coordinates.
Outside the lab, a supercar had its door open, waiting.
Raymond stepped forward, got into the car, and drove off in Paige's direction.
Although Francesca was restrained by Raymond's men, she was allowed to follow since her goal aligned with Raymond's.
However, Francesca only had the car she came in, which couldn't match the speed of the supercar.
Seeing both of them leave, Amelia noticed Louis still sitting dazed in the lab.
After looking around, Amelia stomped her foot and walked over to Louis.
Standing in front of Louis, Amelia sighed and said, "Can you hold on?"
Louis remained dazed, and Amelia took another deep breath, feeling a bit helpless.
She sat down opposite Louis and tried to console him, "At this point, the outcome is clear and unchangeable. All you can do is to face it calmly. I know this is a huge blow to you, but compared to Ms. Ellison, it's much better. She has endured this torment repeatedly, from childhood to now, and she might even be pregnant with Mr. Carnegie's child. What should she do? Louis, be strong. Things are already chaotic."
Amelia's words finally woke Louis up, and he softly muttered. "Paige."
Amelia looked sharply at Louis, "You're not completely broken. Yes, the woman you love, Ms. Ellison, what will she do now?"
Louis suddenly gave a bitter smile, tears in his eyes, and said. "It's me. I'm the one who pushed her into the abyss. A mistaken identity is nothing to fear, but it's all my fault. I pushed her and Raymond together."
Even though Amelia was very smart, she didn't know what to do now.
Given the current situation, Paige and Raymond's relationship was almost certain.
But if Paige was pregnant, could the child be deformed or have intellectual disabilities?
Even if the child was unaffected, once their identities were revealed, the consequences would be unimaginable, and societal pressure could crush them.
Amelia knew that what happened in this room today wouldn't be spoken of.
But Paige and Louis's identities had to be corrected.
Mr. Bradley Carnegie would need an explanation. Louis couldn't replace Paige in inheriting the Carnegie family.
It was unexpected that things would develop to this point.
Amelia said, "Take care of yourself first. I'll take you home. Don't worry about Ms. Ellison. Mr. Carnegie and Francesca will handle it."
Louis slowly stood up and shook his head, "No, tell me where they went. I want to see Paige."
Louis paused, gave a bitter smile, and said, "It's all my fault. Maybe I shouldn't have been so curious. Maybe I should have listened to her and tried to win Paige back."
After speaking, Louis walked out of the lab.
Amelia wanted to follow but was stopped by Locas coming out of the lab, "Everyone's gone?"
Amelia replied, "Yes, Dr. Ashton. Are the test results out?"
Locas nodded, "Yes, there's no dispute."
No dispute meant that Paige was indeed Francesca's daughter!
Not even a glimmer of hope was left for Paige and Raymond.
Amelia sighed, "What a cruel outcome, Dr. Ashton. From a biological standpoint, what do you think about Ms. Ellison and Mr. Carnegie..."
Locas said, "Personally, I'm very tolerant of this, but genetic biology is cruel."
Amelia took a deep breath, understanding what he meant.
Meanwhile, Raymond continued driving towards Paige until Charles's voice came through the headset, "Bad news, Mr. Carnegie. Mrs. Carnegie has crashed."
Raymond exclaimed, "What?"
Raymond nearly slammed on the brakes.
Charles continued, "Rescue is right behind the car. From the photos, Mrs. Carnegie seems to be okay."
Raymond didn't hear the rest of Charles's words. He yanked out the headset and threw it on the passenger seat, speeding towards Paige.
Eight minutes later, Raymond got out of the car and ran through the rescue team towards Paige.
The car wasn't severely damaged and was safe, but the door wouldn't open, and Paige, trapped inside, was clearly unconscious.
