Chapte 193 A Passionate Kiss
Raymond had just finished talking when Lily jumped up and said, "Raymond, don't you want to marry me ASAP?"
Raymond replied, "Of course I do. I'm just worried that if the divorce isn't finalized and we have the wedding, it might cause problems. Once the divorce is done, we can get married without any issues. What do you think?"
Lily took a deep breath and then smiled. "Raymond, I know this might be awkward, but my parents can't make it to our wedding. If Oliver can't come, that would be such a bummer. Why don't we have a small wedding with just our closest friends and family?"
Before Raymond could respond, Oliver chimed in, "I think that's a great idea. The wedding doesn't need to be huge. Once you get back to Arcadia, you can throw a big party for everyone."
Raymond said, "Then why not have a big wedding in Northwind? The Carnegie family's roots are in Northwind, and it is only fitting that everyone should be invited to my wedding. I'll talk to my dad about it first, okay?"
Raymond didn'y know how to explain this to Paige if they had the wedding now. He left Oliver and Lily to talk and went back to the Carnegie Estate to discuss the wedding.
After Raymond left, Lily threw herself at Oliver, and they started kissing passionately. Oliver caressed Lily's cheek and asked, "Did Raymond give you a hard time?"
The innocent look on Lily's face vanished, replaced by a seductive smile. She grinned smugly. "Do you think he could bully me?"
Oliver wrapped his arms around her waist and playfully pinched her butt, saying, "I mean, did he try anything?"
As Oliver's hand started to move away, Lily pressed it back onto her hip. She grabbed his hand and moved it to her waist. Leaning on his shoulder, she whispered, "How could I let him? A disabled person, does he deserve it?"
In Lily's mind, Raymond was just a disabled person. She felt extreme disgust towards him.
Lily continued, "He actually thinks I really love him and wants to leave his wife. I feel sorry for that woman. She was born into a humble family and is rumored to be an illegitimate child. She finally joined a wealthy family, but unfortunately, she encountered such misfortune. People say that once she is deemed dispensable, she is abandoned. How sad."
At this moment, the woman Lily referred to as "how sad" was in control of the Sackler Group's highest authority.
Margaret and Xena arrived at the hospital early in the morning and were waiting for the matching results.
Paige had already said the results might not come out today, but they didn't leave. They stayed and waited, handling all the Sackler Group's business over the phone.
After Raymond got free, he immediately asked Paige if they could find a place to talk.
However, with Margaret and Xena staying at the hospital, Paige had no time. She was worried that if she left, Margaret and Xena might do something to Luna.
They knew very well how important Luna was to Paige. If they captured Luna at this time, it would be the perfect way to threaten Paige.
Paige couldn't leave the hospital, and Raymond couldn't come to the hospital, so they could only communicate via phone.
That afternoon, Raymond gave Lily an answer, agreeing to hold a small wedding, inviting only their closest friends and family.
At the same time, he asked Charles to help Lily prepare for the wedding. Raymond would cover the cost of whatever style of wedding Lily wanted.
After Raymond agreed, Oliver and Lily set the wedding for two days later. It was enough time for a small wedding, which they needed as a cover to get what they wanted.
Paige didn't have the mind to care about Raymond's wedding for the time being. With Amelia's urging, the hospital expedited the analysis of the matching data.
Xena had been looking for an opportunity to see Luna alone but hadn't had the chance. It was as if Paige were guarding against her, preventing her from entering the ward to see Luna.
In the afternoon, the doctor came with the data sheet and knocked on the meeting room door.
Paige and Xena eagerly stepped forward and asked the doctor, "Are the matching results out?"
The doctor nodded. This time, Xena was even more anxious than Paige. "How are the results? How did the matching go?"
