Chapter 326 Bradley's Granddaughter?
Francesca almost had a breakdown.
Raymond took two steps forward and stood directly in front of Francesca.
Raymond gave Francesca a fierce look, with a flash of ruthlessness in his deep eyes, but when he spoke, his tone had softened considerably.
Despite this, his voice was still chilling. "This is my child!"
With just a few simple words, Raymond had already begun to threaten Francesca.
Turning his head, Raymond asked the doctor, "Is my wife's body suitable for carrying a child? Also, what is her own will?"
The doctor looked at Raymond with difficulty, shook his head, and said, "She is healthy and suitable for carrying a child, but after she woke up, she didn't say a word, just stared blankly at the ceiling."
Raymond asked, "Can I go in and see her?"
The doctor was about to answer Raymond when Francesca, upon hearing this, grabbed Raymond's sleeve. "No, you can't be so cruel to me and Paige."
Tears welled up in Francesca's eyes as she clung to Raymond, refusing to let go. "Even if you don't care about me, please think about Gregory who died for you. How can you make such a decision and be worthy of him?"
The last thing Francesca wanted to see was Paige getting pregnant; this mistake should stop here.
If a child was born, what should be done?
Raymond brushed Francesca's hand away. "Things are not as serious as you think. I can explain this to you. Right now, Paige's health is the most important. I hope you can look at the bigger picture. Since her identity can't be changed, you should think about what that child means to you."
Since Paige was Francesca's daughter, the child she was carrying would be Francesca's grandchild.
Paige's emotions were too volatile, and with the car accident, Raymond was now only concerned with Paige's health and the baby's health.
After brushing Francesca's hand away, Raymond gave a look to Louis, who was supporting Francesca. Louis, unusually slow to react today, still managed to hold onto Francesca.
He called Francesca as usual, "Mom, let's first ensure Paige's health." As he finished speaking, Louis suddenly felt a sense of awkwardness.
He didn't know how Francesca would feel about him still calling her 'Mom' after everything had been clarified. Would she no longer want to hear him call her that?
Louis felt a sudden collapse of his inner belief, a feeling so painful that it was indescribable.
Francesca, usually very smart and sensitive, was entirely focused on Paige at this moment and didn't notice Louis's disappointment and awkwardness.
But Amelia, standing nearby, saw Louis's emotions clearly.
The doctor, following Raymond's request, ensured Paige's health while also taking measures to protect the pregnancy.
By the time Paige was transferred to the VIP ward, it was already dark outside.
After a whole day of turmoil, everyone was a bit exhausted. Hearing that Paige was fine, they all relaxed a bit.
However, several people hadn't eaten all day.
Pearl arranged for dinner to be brought over. In the suite next to the VIP ward, everyone sat around the table, facing the dinner, but no one had an appetite.
Paige, under the influence of medication, had fallen asleep, and the suite was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.
Pearl spoke helplessly, "We can't skip meals. Too much has happened today. How about everyone eats a little ?"
Raymond said, "I have no appetite. Francesca, can we talk alone?"
Francesca looked up, her eyes swollen like two walnuts.
But by now, she had no more tears left, not even the strength to cry.
She looked at Raymond. "Alright, let's talk. We should have a good talk alone."
Francesca put down her fork, ready to go somewhere else to talk with Raymond alone.
Given the situation, she had to make Raymond divorce Paige, let Paige go, and give her a new future.
Raymond, also not in the mood to eat, got up to follow Francesca. There were some things he had to make clear to her.
Otherwise, Francesca might really ruin his plans.
Just as they stood up, there was a knock on the door.
Pearl quickly went to open the door and saw Bradley walking in with Sean's help.
Bradley, seeing everyone inside, was surprised. "You're all here?"
Francesca glanced at Bradley and immediately turned her face away.
Facing Bradley, she didn't know what to say. And the fact that Paige was a member of the Carnegie family was something she was too ashamed to mention, especially to Bradley.
Bradley, leaning on his cane, angrily tapped it on the floor. "Such a big thing, and you all kept it from me?"
Everyone's eyes turned to Bradley.
Bradley's information network was usually very good, but...
Raymond also thought Bradley probably knew.
Raymond said, "Bradley, you know?"
Bradley was furious. "Of course I know. Such a big thing, and you all kept it from me. Do you all think I'm old and useless, that no matter what happens, you don't need to tell me?"
Francesca's heart skipped a beat. She didn't know how to tell Bradley that Paige was her and Gregory's daughter. Now that Bradley knew, her burden was lighter.
Francesca quickly made room for Bradley. "Bradley, we didn't mean to keep it from you. We just didn't know how to tell you. Paige is still legally married to Raymond. Now that Paige is back with the Carnegie family, we don't know how the outside world will see it."
As soon as Francesca said this, Bradley suddenly froze. He caught the key point in Francesca's words. "What did you say? Paige, back with the Carnegie family? I don't understand what you mean."
Francesca was stunned. "Dad, didn't you already know that Paige is my and Gregory's daughter?"
Her heart started to race, and Francesca felt she had misunderstood.
Not just Francesca, everyone else realized they had misunderstood!
Bradley was shocked by Francesca's words and couldn't react for a moment.
Bradley looked at Francesca, then at Louis, and finally at Raymond.
He asked, "Can someone explain to me what this means? Paige is Gregory's daughter?"
Raymond took a deep breath, no longer caring about talking to Francesca alone first. He stepped forward and grabbed Bradley's arm. "Let's talk alone first, Bradley!"
