Chapter 234 Don't Let Him Die
Lily watched as Paige strutted over to Oliver, dagger in hand. The knife's tip was already pointed right at him.
Lily's heart raced, fearing Paige was about to hurt Oliver. Just as she was about to shout, Paige was already there. Without hesitation, Paige plunged the dagger into Oliver's thigh.
Oliver's mouth was taped shut, so he couldn't scream, even though the pain was unbearable. His face twisted in agony.
Lily stood there and watched in shock as Paige stabbed Oliver. It took her a few seconds to snap out of it. "What the hell are you doing, you psycho?"
Paige turned to Lily with a faint smile. "Don't think I don't know what you call my husband behind his back. You mock him for being a cripple, right? Well, now I've made Oliver a cripple too. Happy now?"
Oliver couldn't say a word. Lily, like a wild animal, started throwing herself against the cage, trying to break free and attack Paige. But it was useless. She was already worn out, with no strength left to fight the sturdy cage.
As Lily hurt herself slamming into the cage, she screamed at Paige, "You crazy bitch, how dare you do this to him!"
Paige just pulled out the dagger and stabbed Oliver in the thigh again. The sight made Lily's heart feel like it was being torn apart. "I'll kill you, I'll kill you!" Lily screamed.
Paige mimicked her, "I'll kill you." Then she pulled out the dagger and said it again, "I'll kill you." And stabbed him once more.
In just two minutes, Paige had stabbed Oliver four times in the thigh. Blood soaked his pants. Paige turned to Lily and said, "Go on, curse me again. See what happens. Maybe I'll pick a different spot next time."
Lily was on the brink of losing it. Every stab felt like it was hitting her. She knew Paige was crazy enough to do anything. Lily didn't dare to speak recklessly anymore, fearing Paige would really kill Oliver. "What do you want?"
Paige replied, "Didn't I just tell you?"
Lily said, "There's no mastermind behind this. My brother and I just want the stuff."
Paige laughed. "Should I show you the surveillance footage? You're still pretending? Tell me, where did you get the info about the stuff you want? Who's really behind this?"
As Paige spoke, she wiped the blood off the dagger's tip and said, "If you don't talk, we'll move on to the next step. With my medical background, I can cut someone a hundred times and make sure they don't die. Imagine that pain."
Paige's words made Lily's heart tremble. Paige had the upper hand and could do whatever she wanted, while Lily had no way to fight back. Lily said, "I've already told you. Even if you kill me, there's no one behind this. The secret funds are just for me to get rich."
Raymond, who had been quiet this whole time, finally spoke up, "There are very few people in the world who know about that money. Who do you think you are?"
Paige, having just cleaned the knife, walked up and stabbed Oliver again. The blade was bloody once more. This time, she didn't even bother wiping it clean, just waiting for Lily's next move.
"If you still won't spill the beans about the mastermind, I'll just assume you want the secret funds for yourself. You should know by now that the stuff you had is already in our hands. Even if you don't tell us who the mastermind is, we'll find out eventually. But if you tell us, the outcome will be different from us finding out on our own." Paige's gaze shifted to Oliver as she spoke.
Lily caught Paige's look immediately. She knew Paige was using this to threaten her, but she had no other options. "If I tell you, I'll lose my life too, and my end will be even worse. Since you have the clues, go find it yourselves." Lily was on the brink of madness, unable to endure the environment or Paige's insanity any longer.
Paige flexed her wrist, tossed the dagger on the ground, and then personally went to open the cage. When Lily saw Paige open the cage, she immediately tried to pounce. But the next second, Paige kicked her away.
Paige's kick landed hard on Lily's stomach, causing her to curl up on the ground in pain, clutching her belly. When Paige opened the door just now, Lily felt a sense of relief, knowing she would definitely get her revenge on Paige. But she didn't expect Paige to be more capable than her, leaving her with no chance to fight back.
Lily clutched her stomach and looked up at Paige. Paige had already walked up to her and, without any mercy, started giving Lily a brutal beating.
Paige hadn't expected to get much info from her today. She was just in a bad mood and came to vent. Since Lily was uncooperative and making her unhappy, she had to find a way to let off steam.
After beating Lily until her hands were tired, Paige finally stopped. Looking at Lily, who was lying on the ground clutching her head, Paige couldn't help but kick her again.
After kicking her, Paige said, "I don't know when I became so petty, but I hate it when people covet what I like. And you still want to stand by my husband's side and take him away from me."
After saying this, Paige walked out of the cage and signaled Charles to lock the door. It was the first time Charles had seen such a fierce Paige. He quickly locked the door and stepped aside, not daring to disturb Paige and Raymond.
Paige walked over to Raymond and said, "I'm tired. Let's go home. We won't get anything out of her today."
Raymond went up to carefully wipe Paige's hands and said indulgently, "Okay."
Paige instructed Charles, "Bandage Oliver. Don't let him die!"
